VHS tape shop in U.K. sparks nostalgia as video rental chains close their doors

- Video stores and those clerks with encyclopedic movie knowledge are mostly a thing of the past. Although the last American video rental chain closed its doors this year, some small independent stores still exist. This month, one in the U.K. that specializes in an old format expanded its inventory in a big way. BBC's Ian Haslam reports from Liverpool.

It's just crazy when you stop and think about it. We grew up watching VHS tapes. Now you can hardly find them. In 20 to 40 years I wonder what will replace DVDs?

Possibility Blue Ray might replace DVD due to resolution, but who knows we might all move to Amazon Video and Disney Plus
@@journeytrials We old folks on Social Security can't afford to stream, or even be able to buy a new tv or a fridge when the old one breaks down. You'll all be old some day - if you're lucky.

At 1:17 of this video, Some dude say that his friend find a VHS copy of a movie called Blue Movie in the woods, Did anybody know about the Blue Movie, I know what the film is, It is a 1969 P0rnography movie by Andy Warhol, It was the first film depicting explicit s3x to receive wide theatrical distribution in the United States, and this film is what started the Golden Age of P0rn (1969-1984), It was indeed very embarrassing for some guy finding a VHS copy of a p0rn film in the woods, When home and put the tape in the VCR, Trying to getting all ready for it in his home, Only for the tape that was in the woods for the long time to mess up his VCR, He have to dismantle his whole VCR because of it, What a crazy true story.

I don't miss VHS, DVDs, or Blu-Ray Discs. They take up too much room. I live in a beautiful minimalistic home, and I intend to keep it that way.
For a minimalist it's good. But our overall consumption is higher than ever. :)
That's why they video libraries exist. To rent and share them. Same as tool and book libraries.
