Hot damn, I'd never heard of these guys until today and I was hooked from the opening of this track. Black metal isn't typically for me, but I kinda love this. Call me non-Kvlt, but I really appreciate the crisp production on this so that I can hear clarity in the guitar melodies and even the bass coming through clear as day. The combination of beauty and heaviness adds a lot of depth for me and keeps it from feeling monochromatic. I'm stoked for this album now.
Listen to Restoration (2012). IMO their best and a classic atmo / prog black that aren’t in love with being edgy and achieves something beautiful instead.
This is what happens when black metal is art and not edgy contrarian whining. Also check pillorian, agalloch, white ward, netherbird, vorna, if you have the chance. Blackbraid is also amazing, but you probably already know those guys since they're one of the biggest up and coming bands rn. As a long time black metal fan I am very happy to have bands to listen to now that don't sound like a broken washing machine on drums with a guy screaming down the street on vocals. Nice to hear some bass as well for a change of pace! Always hated going to a good live show buying the album only for it to sound like ass due to intentionally bad production.
What a track!!! Man, so many incredible moments in this one 🤘🔥 the riff that starts with the clean vocals is just…….fucking sublime! I love the contrast as well because there’s some absolutely vicious and cathartic parts as well to the melodic beauty. Phenomenal stuff! I’m very excited for the new album
Corridor Crew brought me here.
haha same here 🤘
@@Fabohr hell yeah!
Did they mention us in a video!? Love all of their content and we sent Sam some merch!
