One extra point, his katana passive scales on the damage that you actually does. What does this mean is that, if you crit during katana form, that passive is amplified even further.
Just proves that innates, facets and everything is a part of beta for new heroes, lets say WK has that spectral effect thingy, but bloodthorn or orchid reign it first
First combo in the video youre wasting your grapling hook to jump on them, since u activated falcon rush u can just right click them at a certain distance and Kez will rush to them. keep ur W to trade with them if u get low and need lifesteal, or to escape to a tree or switch targets. Don't waste ur grapling hook if u have falcon rush activated.
Aghanims is a good item for this hero. With it, its complexity ramps up to an Invoker level of button pressing, but the question is When do you buy Aghs?
@francisjosephcutamora8530 so I guess you go Silence first item OR BattleFury/Echo or vice-versa? I tend to see Manta as a 3rd or 2nd item for this Hero. His farming capabilities isn't bad but not great with its abysmal low mana and mana reg.
@@6Unknown_Source9 he doesn't need much item to farm because his damage is good when you play him right So no need to buy BF, manta and silence is good for utility But if you can't do combo then you should buy bf and build right click but You won't utilize the aghs then as a 3rd item
That katana damage combo you showed is not even close to his best damage. you can do 3000-3500 damage in 2 seconds using his shard. Initiate with grapple which does auto attack on land, press echo slash which does 2 right clicks and then right click normally 1 time after echo slash, then finish with your shard stun. It will consume all the stacks build up, which should be 4-5 and will deal 2500-2800 alone, not including damage from the other abilities.
i just discovered a new build where you dont have to rely on falcon rush too much since its a commit ability and that is to go echo sabre and deso or battle fury grappling -> immediately echo slash -> hit them with echo sabre slow so they nearly guarantee to take the echo slash -> hit them couple more time until youre comfortable -> finish it off with agh shard ability. this should nuke most support
@Docwell but without aghs you can't waste your W on a silence, you need a gap closer. And does he really that farm dependant? I rushed midas and tp boots and played active ganker like void spirit, and it worked pretty well
idk really, for one it's anti-regen hero, but alch beats him according to the pro tracker. im trying to figure out what supports he'll have the best synergy with in the lane, I guess marci could be one
@@mdrezaeghblali6597 i seen people are meming with 5 moonshards on the hero but realistically i think sups like ogre and io can significantly buff his attack speed or perhaps even chen taking advantage of his faster tempo than other popular cores this meta
His best matchup is heroes with no good escape or disables (surprise surprise), if you mean teammates, then it's the one that can set up the stage for him to kill, any stuns/slows are appreciated. Worst matchups examples: 1. Oracle can easily disarm you, so you're useless in lane until level 6 (strong dispel ult) 2. Abaddon, you can't burst this guy 3. Slark, he can just ult 4. Slardar / Axe (pierces debuff immunity) any heroes that can silence / disable will cripple you.
the hero is op on paper (and cool), but not in reality, look at the win rate with the highest skill players (ame, yatoro, etc.), let alone the fact that it's not a battlefury, afk-farming kind of patch atm. On the one hand, its a hard carry, on the other it tends to go in and out in the fights, easy to lose long, persistent team fights (those where heros like gyro, even pa, etc. can keep up). I guess it needs some rework (on how combos can be used) to fit in and make it a viable option for pos 4 too... thx for the video.
People are trying to figure it out still. It’s a complicated hero. It will be a bit before the optimal items, position, and style to play the hero is discovered.
its a 3 complexity hero + just released. Winrate rn didn't mean much especially when most of the people that I watch didn't even utilize the swap form and no one bought Aghanim which unlocked his full potential. Even if someone buys it, they barely utilize it.
hey low mmr low iq earth spirit in the past was 10x nerfed after he got 32% winrate in a pro / high mmr bracket when he was released what a stupid take
My go-to combo for aghs + shard, is switch sai -> falcon rush -> switch katana -> q wave -> grappling hook -> do a couple of AA then burst them with E. Works really well if you build crit too. The q wave to grappling in katana form ensures that both wave hits cause the minute 80% slow from grappling makes it harder to dodge the second wave. Each wave also procs the echo attack from falcon rush buff, which lets you stack katana passive to opponent fast. I haven't tested practicality of khanda if you try to squeeze it in between builds, but I think the general path is to go rush BF to AGHS then probably BKB.
I played Kez yesterday several times and recognized a weird mechanic. When I used Falcon Rush and switched to Katana, the double attack of Echo Saber doesnt proc but goes on cooldown. But another nice mechanic is, that all attack modifier proc on Katana Q. Only Basher procs only on 1 Enemy. Desolator or MKB Multi-Proc in Combonation with Battlefury ist really OP in Midgame. I won all 4 Games as Pos 1 easly and got flamed smurf. But I am only 2k Bracket 😅
Echo sabre won't work when you have falcon rush buff cause the skill essentially sets Kez's attack rate to a predetermined number with a factor of less than 10% of your actual attack speed. There used to be a bug on his release where you can ignore the determined attack rate by buying 5 - 6 moonshard, boosting Kez's attack rate to 0.06
I mean that's extra damage and at max level it's only 6sec cd and since you preemptively cast Falcon rush anyway may as well gap close quicker to not waste precious seconds.
Kez is like Talion from Shadow of War (Lord of rings game) but in Dota 2 its just amazing i love this hero
I love this hero.. Hope they won't nerf him too much😢
Sumiya's combo for kez is very good
YES !!! Most players win rate 30% only, while Sumiya has an 85% win rate on Kez while playing high mmr
One extra point, his katana passive scales on the damage that you actually does.

The range is low for Falcon rush. You may get stunned or disabled before you get in range for Falcon rush
Aghanims is a good item for this hero.

3rd item timming
He is good with blink/echo saber into harpoon, bkb, aghs and shard

you can switch to shodo sai R and switch to katana E to crit it
Better than GameLeap for real
Love the video, thanks
I really like the new hero, I have always want more complex heroes coming to dota
I played default in shodo sai and it's so OP, i mena yeah you can switch skills and all but why should you?

don't you think fast orchid would be better on him in midlane? he has so much early kill potential + it synergizes with his shard for a sweet execute
Yeah orchid could be good from mid. The problem is it gives you no hp, it doesn’t speed up farm, and you already have a silence.

@@rev9115 that's just bad people playing the hero wrongly. You do no damage with 5 moonshards.
Ideally when combo-ing ultimates you want to use the Sai ultimate first, since the mark will amplify the Katana ultimate's first slash

Basher only procs on 1 hero because it has an internal cooldown. Around 2 secs iirc
Slight tangent but you sound a tad bit like Kez. Great video though.
