In the river walleyes can't see details anyway, it's a fast hit and some call it impulse bite. but as long as its turns upstream for a few seconds like bait fish does. It'll be good.
If I may suggest a book by my favorite tier, Gordon Mackenzie Hair-hackle tying Technique and fly patterns. I think you will enjoy his work and his book if you get it. Wonderful video.
Great pattern Jay. I tie something very similar to this one for some guys but they use it as a catfish stinger. Basically a drop rig under the main bait of choice. Apparently catfish will hit a fly based on my customers information. Thanks Jay and try to stay warm. In my neck of the woods we are about to have tornadoes late Thursday. Not looking forward to that!
Very well done, and i enjoy the storys behind the jig tying or the stories told while you're tying.
Nice streamer Jay like it always enjoy watching you tie 👍

Good luck with that. Stay safe.
Could you add bead chain eyes to roll the hook up for rocky surfaces and tie the fly upside down?
Or switch to a keel hook would work to fish point up.
What is the first CF piece proporcion?
For this size hook the chartreuse pinch was about 2/3 the width of a #2 pencil.
