Unfortunately it’s the same old story with mayo was at the game and thought Derry had a great game plan in the first half and then in the second half mayo played some great stuff but mayo just lack that quality in the front line to kill games off. Hard to argue with your point of blowing leads, just didn't seem to have that killing instinct this year. I do think they are going in the right direction. Neither team impressed me last night, but I thought Derry's shooting was more proficient and had a bit more variety than Mayo. We don't have guys that back themselves to shoot from distance, and that's why we suffer against the blanket. Not begrudging, but I think Derry will find it hard next weekend as that was a tough game that seeped a lot of energy out of both teams. Not too unlike last year, Mayo will rue certain moments of the championship that could have been season turning i.e. Galway in the Connacht final and Dublin last weekend. If McStay can hold on to Aidan for another year I think they will have a good go at it next year. I think Aidan and Cillian are good leaders to have there, don't think this is an All-Ireland winning team but if they can put themselves in a better position going into a quarter final I think they will have a big say next year. Think it will be a big ask for all preliminary winners next week, but hopefully a surprise will be pulled out of the bag. Think Galway are the ones to watch.

Ref played almost 2 mins after injury time in normal time Derry shouldn't have been allowed get that equaliser to bring it to ET. Ref also had no regard for player safety today for mayo or derry, J Flynn was literally knocked out and game wasn't stopped. Left the black cards at home. Hard win a game when ref if letting dangerous challenges go all day. Derry won't get away with same dirt in croke park where there's more than one 1980s camera on them like there was on GAA go.
Perhaps for once Joe brolly might do a decent thing and apologise to Micky Harte and Derry for his personal attack on Harte. I don't expect him to do same as he's incapable of being decent
I think the bigger issue is that Mayo get unlucky with drawn teams every year. Managed to have to play Dublin and Derry 2 out of the top 3 teams before even reaching a quarter final. Kerry and Dublin have it very soft in leinster and munster and usually get a soft group where they don't have to play eachother because of winning provincial. Not loving the new format and no team should be going out from penalties.
I know this sounds crazy but I knew derry would win because they wear red jerseys. Hope you are enjoying your break lad . Dublin will win all Ireland again

Derry can't get donegal because they try their best to not allow repeat pairings. Derry can only get Dublin or kerry
