Cork will be hurting, but no other county can equal the carnival atmosphere they bring to an All Ireland hurling final. From Christy Ring to Jimmy Barry Murphy, I have rarely seen a wild stroke or late tackle by any Cork team because they believe there are enough opportunities within the rules to use legitimate aggression , while placing greater emphasis on the skills of the game and long may it remain that way. Tony Kellys' display on Sunday was out of this world . In my time of watching GAA, the only man I can compare him to is the great Eddie Keher, whose incredible stckwork, footwork, and handspeed delivered some unbelievable scores. To Clare, I say congratulations on a well-deserved victory in one of the greatest games of hurling I have ever seen.

For all these people saying it should have been a draw and a draw was the fair result I just don't understand, clare were clearly the better team, the more skillful fluent team and Cork had to peg them back at end of normal time and extra time, clare could have had 6 goals, very simply clare were the better team

The ref was superb, kept the game moving and played advantage on many occasions.

I'm a proud Clare man today. I loved the grit and hurling ability we showed to win it. It could have gone either way to be fair but we seemed to gain momentum at important times of game. Cork were class also.

Dont agree that Cork played better than against Limerick, also Don't agree a replay would been fairest outcome. How can u judge that in a game like that? I thought Clare were better throughout hit alot of wides too, unlucky not to win in normal time and 3 up in injury time in extra time. Cork would have been lucky enough to get a replay . Also game will go down as a classic now if went to replay would of been anti climatic, wouldn't have been talked about as much. Have to get a winner either way hats off to Clare and hopefully we'll see new all ireland winners in next couple of years.

Lucky to be at the game, was incredible. Met Sparrow, Sean Oh, Jerry OC and the great Marty Morrissey. Some of the tight hand passing was incredible, very rough on lad who missed at end. Replay would've been a just outcome but Clare had guts to go for goals.

Should have went to replay after normal time. Was hoping for Cork but credit it Clare . Great victory. I still say , pure madness that the inter county season ends next Sunday in July for the sake of a handful of club games watched by a couple a hundred people. We are competing for hearts n minds with rugby n soccer n olympics and we are throwing it away. Pure madness.

Some comparisons made to Cork this year and Mayo in 2021, some said Corks mentality is different to Mayos yet they haven't won an all ireland now in 20 years, lost 4 finals since last won in 2005.

Kerrys warm up before the armagh game was like something from the community games. Pathetic. There are at least 7 players that need the boot, they can't cope with the intensity of inter County and the fact that they kick like u 14s doesn't help. Surely there is more talent in Kerry than this.

Kerry did quite well .... almost won the semi final against a very good outfit.

Jack O Connor is no longer a winner, might aswell have Biden on the sideline, defenders playing high and forwards playing deep, madness carry on. Paul Murphy got a goal and O Sullivan should of got another...two defenders. and it's jacks tactics that are to blame for Clifford's performances not Clifford himself

I don't know how you can say Damien Comer was good.He didn't even score 1 point & Brendan Mc Cole had the better of him as he has with every player he has marked all season & has only conceded 9 points in total in 8 championship games including marks which is remarkable considering the player's he has marked(Darragh Canavan twice, Brian Mc Guigan, Sam Mulroy,Brian Hurley & Damien Comer)& he probably still won't get an Allstar.

Best outcome for football, Galway in final. Chasing pack will take huge encouragement from this, expect Tyrone to get themselves together next year.
