SALTxTHExWOUND it was cool I liked the bird house I was just messing around. I’m currently at my local motorcycle shop getting my chain and sprocket done. It’s going to be a 15t-45t w/ a 520.
Kids dont be afraid to practice riding wheelies. I started practicing when I was 18 on my first bike and have been riding wheelies ever since. Im 55 now and have only dumped a wheelie once when I was 21. I had become complacent and cocky so relaxed that when I dumped the cluch my throttle hand jerked off the bar returning the bike to earth with the wheel turned left as my right hand rodeoed while I was thrown over the bars. The out come was a broken collarbone and a difficult ride home.
Dude i just woke up. Watched this video, made me go on my GsxR750 and i got it up for the first time easy!! Hopefully i can do this without ever dropping it! THANK YOU!!! I had one scare so i called it fir the practice but i did it!!
I have a gsxr 600, it just lacks in torque, but went down 1 tooth In the front up 2 in the back, something finally clicked in me the other day and made some major progress this week, I'm feeling way more confident getting to balance now
I have tried this way for years but never mastered the clutch wheelie. I can bounce the throttle and get it up I give props to every guy who can clutch a wheelie
SALT has a Bachelors Degree in Wheelies. Great advice SALT. Sit downs are probably best for beginners. Even short wheelies help instill confidence and help find the right speed and balance point. IMHO. ☮️
Nice informative video. I've been riding for years and figured out wheelies on my own. At 49 I just figured out how easy power wheelies are. Just have never done them. Figured that out by accident. Now I seem to only do power wheelies. Either way, you have explained it pretty well. By the way I ride a 2001 gsxr750 1 down in front and stock gearing in back. Lots of fun.
Balls of steel. Standups are where I bitch out. Had the windscreen come up and slam me in my chest and I slammed it down and almost flipped over the handle bars....yup pucker factor was at a max 🤣 I learned that day....but I'll get that standup one day 😏😎
Had to go back into the old archives of yours and watch this video. He say “Apparently many of my subscribers ride this exact make of bike” well yeah whole reason I initially subscribed Bro. Lol
So idk what it is but i can't get my gsxr 750 to wheelie in second gear, i was trying the other day and I was trying the rpms you said and the bike would barley pop up, but then I tried the same rpms in 1st and it poppped up nice and easy like it does in the video, Idk if maybe you said a typo or If im doing something wrong but i'm hella confused.
Ah, this makes much more sense now, I was just being a lil bitch with the revs too low. I was starting to get frustrated with not being able to wheelie in anything but first gear, I am not use to having to be so high in the rpms coming from motocross bikes. Thanks for the info, time to go play with it more.
The sound and vibration on inline4 motors are intimidating. It's even worse if you're eyes havent experienced nor adjusted to that type of zoom or acceleration lol
Very well explained,I now feel a big urge to pick up mine GSX-R 750 from the garage and go practice me some wheelies, only thing is that here is no GSX-R 750,there is no garage, instead I got a Yamaha Zuma scooter fully tuned to 70cc plus a 2008 Honda CR-f 250 4stroke which is kept somewhere else.On top of all this it's pooring outside right now here in Portugal and I'm still healing a broken coller bone along with a few ribs that I broke on September 7th while doing downhill with a friend in Andorra's Vallnord bike park...Life sucks right now but I do wheelie prety good on my scooter and want to start trying it out on my 250cc sooner or later. Be safe with your stunts Salt,I fell quite a few times while I was learning how to wheelie and leaning for curves already some good 16 or 17 years ago so I really know the feeling of skin burn on my skin made by the road's asphalt...
JD Nasty clutching is way easier imho!! I don’t like power wheelies they are scarier because when your coming up so is the power. Clutching is the way to go!
What’s crazy is I use to wheelie on a 2008 r1 with -1 tooth on the front and clutch it in second and use the brake to stop the bike at balance point or there abouts and clutching up at 70kms/43mph. Comparing to the theories of this bike I defs have a violent style of wheelies 😂 I’ve just purchased a gsxr750 so refreshing my brain and learning from your videos of how a 750 works Once it arrives I will be using your tips thanks dude
Black/blue w/micron exhaust w/ capability of beautiful sounding backfires. Racing levers, frame sliders, fender eliminator kit, micheline tires, and a zero gravity windscreen. I call it the night rider 😏.
So your throttle hand is letting off gas slightly when you hit 7 grand and then your gas hand is throttling right back to where your hand was previously so to not give it to much gas after you’ve dumped the clutch correct???
@@frankk6308 definitely worth bro. Quick shifter especially. I'm not sure if you need to flash ecu for quick shifter but if you don't have the money for it just go with the quick shifter for now
Imma be honest I’ve been on a bike since I was 15 I’m 23 now and I bought a gsxr750 2023 and because it’s so new I’m genuinely scared to fuck up, how do you counter the pull of the bike, I’ve only done power wheelies on 1000’s but never “controlled” wheelie

Long story short, I have a gsxr600 K5, riding alone I had issues at first with the bike doing wheelies in first I’ve tried a second gear wheelie with my 600 but doesn’t seem to lifting much then say 4” of the ground no matter what I do, could that be not enough rpms or am I not leaning back much? I recently got -1 tooth in the front stock rear and it seems more torquey, I haven’t tried in 2nd but 1st gear comes up waaaay easier and faster

This is something perhaps worth mentioning in your next wheelie video (if you make one). I learned wheeling from your videos, and I am very thankful for that. Initially my problem was, that when I clutched up and the front wheel came up, no matter what I did, I could not hold the wheelie for longer than 1-2 seconds. The bike just sat back down. And getting it to balance point ? Forget about that. It would make sense that this was caused by my traction control being set to on. I have a 2019 ZX6R and it seems even the lowest TC just kills the engine if it detects that front wheel spins slower than the rear (which is a case when you wheelie). Would you agree ?
I have a 2017 GSXR 750 and I can not get it to pop very high in 2nd gear even if I max out the Yut to the rev limiter. However 1st gear works pretty well, but I run out of powerband :-/
