Very cool build, as is your all of your work. Just a heads up... The Hood/Bonnet/Tilt front end is made from a material called SMC, Sheet Molding Compound. It is a resin impregnated fiberglass or carbon fiber reinforced material that comes on rolls. While fairly flexible, they are prone to cracking. If hit hard enough they're likely to break, not dent, or bend like Steel. They won't Rust either. The bodies are made of Aluminum.
Unbelievable, your talent just blows me away every time, the water and paint for the rust, so simple yet so effective. Keep em coming as I need my fix

I remember doing a diorama with two Humvees that had been left abandoned. I was all geared up to make them all rusty and battered. Then I learned the bodywork is made from aluminium lol

Just thought the same thing from looking at the thumbnail. Like how exactly did it got to that state? This isn't worn out - this is a rust bucket. There isn't a single humvee that looks that bad unless it was bombed to pieces. Lol.
@@id104335409 The last similar diorama he did had a very STALKER/Fallout post apocalyptic wasteland sort of feel, so I imagine that's what he was going for in this one as well.

With my military experience as a hmmv mech (3521 US MARINE CORPS) You may not see that much rust if any on the hood because its solid fiberglass. Most exterior metal components were aluminum. Hood latches are rubber and plastic. I'm not too familiar with that type of tow hitch, we used an A-frame tow hitch. It's still a good looking model.

Fiber glass is hard to bye in small quantities
When I saw him apply white to the welds I was thinking ‘you got it’ aluminum rust is aluminum oxide which is white. HUMVEE bodies are aluminum for weight, corrosion resistance and to allow things like bullets to go right through them. The steel rust is really, really well done. Some of the best I’ve seen.
