Perhaps Pomehi thought😢he discovered something ironical Without Understanding that This is a Legal Fact which Applies ONLY to Large Commercial Users or Corporations that Collect large Quantities of Water as a part of their Business Operations.
This law doesn't apply to households who collect rain water for their OWN household use.

Singapore relatively doing well in collecting the rain water in our water catchment areas and directing to our 17 reservoirs in Singapore. 🇸🇬

The identification of real problems and effective solutions are LOCAL and NOT GLOBAL. Consider the possibility that "predetermined problems" are collaboratively fabricated by global institutions (hidden hand), then provide "predetermined solutions" (helping hand) under the veil of urgency.

    Price hikes
Why the Government announced a slew of price hikes, including a drastic 30% increase in water fees, only after the 2015 general elections and at a time of economic uncertainty for the people.

Meanwhile, here in Wellington we are facing even more stringent water restrictions to come because of how wasteful (mainly leaks) the water infrastructure is.

I like how President Tharman uses these forums to champion for solutions instead of participating in the search for answers. i.e. there is the solution (specifically this solution), we have to work on it (invest in this solution).

This was incredibly awkward to watch. Trying to articulate how to manage water ‘economically’ reveals just how incompatible it is to combine markets with nature. Perhaps the mistake is to suggest economists have the skills to ‘solve’ water imbalances. Or that they are doing more than acting as guardians of capital in the face of capitaism’s failurel

@@BeachBoi1000 Your all know free in general is bad right (free electricity, free education)? But the opposite isn't actually market rate water and electricity etc. it's heavily subsidised essentials, the debate among locals in Singapore these days is regarding subsidies, Hawker food, GST, Bus fare hike, route cancellation etc. very tangible stuff that affects the economy because it is debated by working-class people, not extremist or idealogues, and, their feedback have been taken into consideration, sometimes cringe, sometimes u-turn, sometime ignore. It's not just a flat: gov will do this, you will obey the nanny, just go to work. Edit: I'm not parroting President Tharman's style, I voted for him ok, I didn't spoil my vote or smt smt.
