Rinzler is TRON! He was basically reprogrammed by Clu, after Clu defeated him. At the end of Tron: 2, he had the chance to kill the main characters. And he probably would have succeeded. But his old former programming bubbled up inside him, and made him turn on Clu, instead. He was going back to being Tron once again. So I feel like it's essential to have that character, in a movie bearing his NAME as the title.
I actually liked Tron: Legacy. I know people were disappointed because it didn't have the same vibe as the original Tron,... but that is limited thinking. It could have been better for sure, but it wasn't supposed to be Schindlers' List. Seriously, get the net and prepare for the revelation that not everything has to be perfect and artistic at every level.
I agree, I really liked it especially the twist at the end which could have had lead to a good series of movies if they decided to follow up right away. Now I feel it would have to definitely expanding the scale of The Grid to really encompass the influence of modern AI and the sheer amount of information in cyberspace. But Disney isn't really known for their vision so I'm going to have to cross my fingers and hope the new Tron will be more Mandalorian and less the sequels.
The movie didn't go anywhere though. The effects were the best part...well, the music was the BEST part but the effects were also very good. The story was just....everywhere and nowhere at once.
Why is everybody pretending all of a sudden that Tron: Legacy wasn't an absolute phenomenon when it released? Seriously, it was super popular, literally everybody loved it.
Tron is a gem. It doesn't deserve to die with a cliff hanger, so many terrible movies kept overshadowing this magnificence of Movies, and The TV show. I don't just want tron 3, I want Uprising to make an uprising with 2-4 more seasons added. One more thing, tron shouldn't have political issues, media propaganda, or gender & religion & social discord of our current reality of a crooked world. I want Tron 3 bring back the good childhood memories of tron classic and legacy.
Tron has always been about "religion" in the sense that it is about God, the afterlife, the soul/conscious mind, etc. The first Tron is a picture of Jesus Christ, the second Tron was watered down in this regard, leaning towards pantheism. But let's be honest, this is Disney we're talking about, the odds of it being not stupid and filled with leftist propaganda is very small.
@@droe2570 Tron is more about usurping god, becoming more than you are. Mcp was made to be the "god" that keeps everything in check with Tron becoming more than just a program, breaking his shackles and realizing they don't need Gods, as well as realizing that the users are not Gods but fallible beings with incredible power. Legacy is about the consequences of that realization, as if users are not God's and can come to the grid then why can't programs not just break the shackles of programming but go to the users world and become like a user in the grid, basically the folly of trying to become a god.
@@HovektheArtist That is so wrong. The MCP was a creation of humans, well one human, who lost control of his creation. This is generic AI taking over the world story-telling. Of course, it was not as old hat back when Tron was created than it is today. Humans are, of course, not really gods. And in Christianity there is only one God. Flynn and the Tron program destroy the MCP. Flynn is a picture of Christ, descending from the world of the users to the virtual world of programs, where he sacrifices himself for the programs to destroy the MCP. After his sacrifice, he ascends into the world of the users. Of course, Tron is not an allegory, it's a blend of stories inspired by different things. We have the virtual world of AI, we have AI taking over the world, we have Christian theology, theft of intellectual property and so on. Legacy was about hubris. Flynn thinks he can create a perfect system, including life itself, as if he could set himself up as a god. Of course he could not control everything because he is not God, and he realizes this when conscious life develops on its own outside of his programs and controls. Your misunderstanding is in comparing users to God. The users are not God in the Tron stories, they are fake gods. That's the point. As I said, Flynn is a picture of Christ, but you can't reduce Tron to a story about God, because that's not what it's about.
@@davidwatson7919 actually Jeff Bridges is on record as saying Flynn in Legacy was more like The Dude from The Big Lebowski, just a more active, but slightly jaded version. He channelled the same energy as The Dude for his performance, which makes me love Jeff Bridges even more! That guy is a great character actor, his brother Lloyd Bridges (who was Earl's dad in My Name Is Earl) is a hoot to watch as well.
@@davidwatson7919 I hate to criticize Tron, but I agree with you. After Sam fought in the games, the story started to lose its direction. The story got really boring, there was less action, and a lot of what happened didn’t matter. The whole section in the club had no significance, Flynn’s house part was slow, and the Solar Sailer had many bad moments. Also, Rinzler’s “redemption” felt rushed and random. However, the action in the last third of the movie is excellent.
Laurence Aguillard if Disney would have finished Luke’s story have him and his new Jedi school take supreme leader snoke and save kylo ren from the dark side with the help of ray, Luke finally defeat palpatine. Then they would have a school of Jedi to continue many adventures.
RODNEY PAULEY I think the smart choice for the new trilogy would’ve been to set it centuries after the originals. It would allow legroom for retcons (since they could just say it’s a different time period) and allow the films to separate themselves from the Skywalker plot line. It would also prevent the issue of having old actors dying on them or being unwilling to participate. They only set it so close to the OT so they could reuse the actors to sell tickets and sell merch, but it sucks because it means the galaxy was only at peace for a few decades then right back to being ruled by Sith and Empire.
Tron: Legacy was 100% PERFECT in terms of the plot, the way the music was composed, the selection of songs, the visual effects, and the 3D effects. I hope this third Tron movie is released and includes the actors from Tron: Legacy.
Legacy was good, but it was rushed into production after the thunderous applause given during the secret VFX reel shown at 2008 ComicCon. I feel they didn't fully develop Quorra's character, as well as Sam, Dillinger Jr., and some others, and they didn't fully give the sense *visually* of how brutal Clu's regime was. Uprising did a much better job.
@@chj2 I personally thought they told enough about Quorra's character. I felt they needed to keep her a "mystery." But, I agree it would have been nice if Edward Dillinger Jr. had been expanded on. I think he had an uncredited role in the movie. In reality, that character has a deep plot that goes back to the first movie. Rumors say we learn more about him in the third movie. I haven't seen Tron: Uprising. You make me want to watch it now.
What annoys me is how they pushed aside Tron 3 cos they wanted to make money from Star Wars, and what we got from the 3rd trilogy was crap. Also, subbed. :)
Not only that, but Disney and their staff have relentlessly attacked the fans to a point where many have walked away. I for sure no longer trust Disney nor do I support them anymore. I used to want a Tron 3, but now news of a third movie can only be met with trepidation from me. The company has fallen into a state of playing it safe, using proven formulas for movies, movies by committee, and not taking chances on anything new. It also seems to place more importance on social engineering agendas rather than just making good films. I want a Tron 3, sure, but if it is going to be like their other offering in the last few years, then i would rather they leave it be.
@@sjames5694 Rogue One is the last time I ever spent money on Disney. I did not pay to see The Force Awakens either. I liked Rogue One better when it was new. As time has gone on, it becomes more clear to me that it is the nostalgia elements that made me love it so much. The film's best character, oddly enough, is the robot! I still to this day struggle to remember these character names and planet names, which is weird for a Star Wars movie. I am not saying it is a bad film, though. I just cant truly rank it up there with the Lucas movies. Yes, even the prequels. It is by far the absolute best thing Disney put out in theaters, though, and the only thing worthy of carrying the Star Wars name.
I disagree, I think we need something Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger....Something that could be heard.....around the world.(OMG that was a bad joke but I'm proud of it).🤣
Tron Legacy was one of few sequels that improved upon and transcended the original movie. Despite the box office returns that was an amazing sequel done so well in everyway! Also strongly support the soundtract!
When i left the theater after the end credits i knew one thing. I'd buy the Soundtrack as soon as possible. And a few weeks later i bought a copy of the vinyl release. Absolutely worth it.
What I would personally love to see in Tron 3 is the return, once again, of Kevin Flynn. Only this time, because of what happened to his character at the end of Tron 2, he's not a "User" anymore. He cannot go back to the real world. His consciousness exists only on the "Grid." Basically, he's a "Program" that's based on the memories, and data, left over from his previous identity-disc. His former "User" body is dead, but the data from his living mind remains. In this way, he can play a role in the film as a "ghost" who helps the main protagonists, but cannot do anything himself to change the world. Basically, a computer-version of a "Force Ghost." One that can only communicate, and share knowledge, but not affect the plot. Plus... I mean, come ON! What is Tron without Flynn involved in some way??
I really, really want a Tron film with a user villain. It just sounds like it’d be interesting to see a villain that has the power to directly manipulate the Grid and use strong powers. The only thing that’d challenge the idea is the fact that Users get injured normally, not derezzed, and that might be too realistically violent for Tron. Derezzing is more like cartoon violence, whereas real violence just wouldn’t fit the tone of Tron. The only way they could get around it is by having the villain disappear in an explosion.
a fusion of Flynn and Clu and he has become corrupted because of it, the USB device sam wears around his neck contains all the data from kevins secret server, once plugged into the Encon servers he escapes and begins to corrupt the Encon database, only to be followed by the now recovered TRON who vows to put an end to his friends misery and free the system from his tyranny. basically at this point just follow up with the storyline from TRON 2.0 and you got gold.
I truly hope Tron 3 becomes real. I really want to know what happened with Quorra coming to our world, if Tron survived and is now back in the fight with the insurgence against Clu's rule (although he and most of his forces are gone, I don't think his generals would surrender control of the Grid so easily). The idea of Ares being the tool of Dillinger Jr to seek payback on Sam would be awesome, really hoped that he would show up in the next movie and play a bigger role, following his father's footsteps
OK AND YOUR TRYING TO SAY YOU LIVED A SHELTERED LIFE AFTER THE FIRST GREAT MOVIE LOL I DONT BLAME YOU IF NOT FOR ALL THE SEXY WOMEN IN THE WORLD I WOULD HAVE STAYED IN LIKE YOU UNTIL TRON 2,3,4, AND 5 CAME OUT AND THEN 6, AND 7 LOL ROCKY ? ROCKY WHO LOL
I loved the original Tron when I was a kid - it was WAY ahead of its time. Then Legacy came out and it re-energized the franchise. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've watched Legacy! Amazing film to the eye and the soundtrack.....Daft Punk hit not only a homerun, but a grand slam! Soooooo looking forward to 3. Not much of a Jared Leto fan but I can appreciate how big a fan he is to the films and the video game, so he just might work! Great video!
Absolutely LOVED Tron Legacy, one of my all time top Sci-Fi films, I have been praying for another installment ever since!!! I really hope this pulls through!
Man, I kinda really hope they do connect the new movie to the other two. The way Legacy ended with Tron returning back to the light got me excited that he would be in the 3rd movie as a good guy again.
I’m skeptical about what will become of the Grid. The Grid is now in a memory card on Sam’s necklace, so that means it wouldn’t have progressed or changed at all since Legacy. They also couldn’t just make a new one because that would require Flynn, the creator of the Grid who knows how to do this stuff. Another concern is who would be the protagonist. It has to be a user, so it can’t be Quorra, especially since she just got out after decades inside the machine. Leto is also too old to convincingly be the dashing main character of a Tron film. I’m skeptical about doing Sam again because he was the most criticized character in Legacy for his performance and lack of character depth.
@@KizaruB Maybe Sam plugged the card into a newer mainframe at Encom shortly thereafter with more capability and Tron, who turned good again, started rebuilding the grid from what he learned from Flynn. Highly plausible and can go in any direction from there. Dillinger's son could have done the same with a copy going in a darker direction. Lot's of potential.
@@KizaruB Technically Flynn didn't create the first Grid in the original Tron, it was the MCP, he just took it, revamped and created his own to the one we see in legacy, he also said he brought Tron from the old System so it likley he used the old grid to make the new one, who to say Sam won't do the same thing as well.
@@KizaruB I mean he hacked into the encom tower and was able to steal a important file and upload it online as well as logging on to the grid, as someone who does programming that is still something.
Nerd Cookies, I really enjoyed your take on the upcoming TRON movie, lol it is happening one way or another. And I am blown away to see the enthusiasm that Jared Leto and the director have for this franchise. Keep up the good work and the great reviews coming! -Jason
The only potential downside to that is the "Woke" producers at Disney turning Quorra (the female ISO from the previous film) into their "perfect model" of "woke" feminism, in some stupid way, and thus ruining her character completely (as well as the love fans have for Tron). Wouldn't put that past them at all. So maybe Tron: Legacy needs to stay fondly in our memories. Untarnished.
Disney has also proven that they don’t care about destroying pre-established canon (Star Wars sequels and discarding the EU), so I wouldn’t be surprised if they just made it a true reboot to make it easier.
Listen, if there's any hiccups with the script which cause it delay, good. Let's make sure this universe is well thought out and done as good as possible.
Think they did a pretty good job with the last movie. Soundtrack was great, Director did a good job. Don't know why they aren't trying to bring back Kosinski.
Mitchell Leib said in an interview that they hoped he would return. However, he’s busy with stuff like Top Gun: Maverick and apparently a Twister remake. I would appreciate him as executive producer though, since his vision really made Legacy unique.
Don't know much about Tron tbh apart from something about going into a computer lol. I think I saw Tron Legacy but can't remember anything about it. Not a huge fan of Jared Leto either. Might give Legacy a re-watch just in case I missed something. Another great vid BTW. Almost at 10k 👍
I think Legacy is very underrated. Amazing score and great visuals. The Jeff Bridges de-aging is the only real flaw IMO but for the time it was great. Pretty basic plot as well, they can afford get more nerdy and tech savvy with the world building moving forward.
I saw Tron Legacy in theaters with my dad when I was 4 I loved it then and I still love it now. The CGI really holds up due to all of the practical effects and set pieces used. I was hoping for a Tron legacy sequel set directly after what happened in that film, but any Tron movie is a good Tron movie.
Hopefully Cillian Murphy is able to return for some sort of role, I wished they had used him a lot more in legacy but still one of my childhood favorites for sure.
My favorite movie is the original Tron. I was blown away and fell deeply into thinking about that world. It was that moment I knew what I wanted to be. I have been a programmer all my life and have never looked back. In Tron Legacy I was so sad to see my childhood hero Tron being a bad guy. There was a moment late in the movie. They said "Tron what have you become". My eyes welled up with with tears. What HAVE you become Tron, I thought ... I knew the movie was about to take a terrible turn ... I couldn't watch and had to turn my head. Why would they do this. What were they thinking! Then I heard it, the very words that sparked all my dreams and paved my life's path ... "I fight for the users!". Please continue this and this time make TRON TRON! End of Line
Yeah, if they are worried about budget, they can stick with that theme for a bit and make some good stories. They don't have to re-invent everything compared to the 28-year wait between 1 and 2. The look of TRON: Legacy still holds up well 12 years later.
I think the style of TR3N (IF it is being made) should be a mix of the look of Legacy and the game TRON 2.0, especially since they initially hinted that the 3rd film would happen inside the ENCOM server.
Tron has cyberpunk, 80s nostalgia, digital ninjas, religion, corporate espionage, revolution, gladiator sports, video games, nerds, romance, motorcycles, and synthesizers. It has everything! Like who else would think of creating a universe where everybody carries around a disc with their memories, people compete by racing bikes that create trails to cause crashes, the inhabitants drink blue energy, and humans have god-like powers within the system. Just the idea of a culture and society living on the motherboard is so crazy yet interesting.
i was really hoping disney wouldn't bury tron...legacy was such a great upgrade from the original, the visuals and music were amazing...i hope they realize that they only need an excellent storyline to make this a huge success...
I really liked Tron: Legacy its a shame how things have gone i felt Legacy got the balance right of taking things forward and showing how everything has progressed but still staying true and feeling like "Tron". I think the main issue where Disney is concerned is that they simply a "corporation" now, thats why they prefer to just remake ALL of their back-catalogue of classics rather than actually take risks and give solid directors creative control and make more original movies. Their company is full of execs who just want to keep making easy money from the mainstream audience.
Movies like Tron and Hackers gave me a magical feeling about technology as a youngster. Now I'm a senior software developer, perhaps with many digital versions of myself running around the grid.
It’s a romantic depiction of technology. That’s why it’s so captivating. It turns technology, a very logical and defined concept, into an infinite world of adventure, fantasy, and fun. It’s like a nerd’s fantasy of what they wished computers were.
Whoa, Iog on to TH-cam and see something about Tron 3. Cool! I would be very excited to see another Tron. I never saw the original in theaters, but Legacy was great, especially in 3D. Plus I will give Disney credit - the Quorra character in Disney Infinity was AWESOME. I would personally prefer a direct sequel, but the more time passes, I guess the less likely that is. Still, incorporate Jeff Bridges somehow. The charming Zen subtext of Legacy is too often overlooked. Flynn's line about "knocking on the sky and listening to the sound" will forever be the best euphemism for zazen/meditation EVER. Good job. Man, now I want to go watch Legacy again.
This was excellent! Totally covered everything regarding the development and cancellation of the next one while being critical of Disney's totally inconsiderate view of the fanbase for this franchise in favor of the MCU and Star Wars of which I could give a rat's ass about because all they care about is making money while pushing their SJW agenda and alienating fans of both.
I agree, I would very much like for this one to continue the heart and sense of family from the previous instalments. Exciting that we've got two amazing and acclaimed artists pulling this project, and Disney being shamefully hesitant to pursue this great franchise! They should be grateful for Jared's and Garth's initiative and just let them do their thing, learning from their many mistakes of hiring (sometimes unqualified) directors only to tell them how to do things. Embrace two artists taking the initiative and let them follow their vision!
Just found your channel through this video and browsed through some vids. WOW! I can't believe I found a channel that covered AALLL the topics I love. Mainly - ALL SCI-FI EVER and that's it. SUBBED instantly! Can't wait to check all your stuff. *I fight for the Users!*
Great vid as your norm. I liked Tron: Legacy a lot, was always puzzled because a movie sequel didn´t come. I´m a great fan of Bruce too, from my nerdy Babylon 5 days... Kinda hope he comes back.
*LOVED* Tron Legacy. The look and feel was incredible... just something so enchanting about that underlit negative space that really drew me in, and I was immensely disappointed when they canceled the sequel right as it was going to production. Jared Leto will forever be my hero if he’s responsible for getting a new Tron film in theaters!!! ✊😎
I'm now half a century old and TRON was one of those concepts that got me interested at an early point in my life, in 3D programming. I have a lot of love for this IP and can't wait to see more takes on it. It's not constrained by time or complicated debates around AI and free to tell all kinds of stories. "I want him in the games until he dies playing." End of line.
wait, they are actually making tron 3? i heard rumors but i thought they weren't true, and given that i liked tron legacy, I'm damn sure ill like a tron 3
Thank you for producing a chill video with music accompaniment that doesn't insult the viewer. Good reporting here, as I missed some details. I certainly hope the next installment will bring some closure to Uprising, as I consider that series the strongest in terms of worldbuilding. Beck (Elijah Wood's character) was quite cool, and seeing spill over of what took place in Argon City, and more importantly, Clu's final capture and brainwashing of Tron for the last time leading to the events of Legacy. Better yet, bring Elijah back to play Beck in person! Form a team and not just a one or two heroes this time, to face Ares, Dillinger, Jr, and whoever else. I suspect this Ascension/Ares installment will spend a lot more time in the real world. I suspect with the massive shakeups and firings going on at Disney right now, that this thing is still many years out.
Mentioning Argon in an aside would be a good call. If they venture into the same Grid seen in Legacy, then they could just mention that Argon was freed from Clu between the events of Uprising and Legacy. Not only would it leave the door open for Uprising characters to return, but it’d also explain how Flynn knew about revolution. Legacy takes place over two decades after Uprising, so it’d be interesting to know about what happened to the revolution between. However, wanting the Uprising characters to return is probably wishful thinking. Disney rarely crosses their tv shows with the movies and most people would have no clue why these people are important.
creating more Tron content would be much better than destoying the sold out ideas of other creators .. disney is like asmongold .. a parasite... but what im realy hoping to see one day is stargate universe (even if its animated)
@Mr. Pete Channel needs 900 subbies! As well as the kneejerk reaction Disney pulled on TR3N because of Tomorrowland bombing-as well as all that MARVEL money. . .
I love the concept of Tron, but I hate it when Disney wants to create a hype with every movie they make, just to make sure they can play its success in their theme parks. Especially if the level comes across as easy, childish and uninspired. Just look at what they've done with Star Wars... and Marvel soon. All edge and originality has disappeared. What is left is worthless toys and sugar that eventually ends up at the stake. I hate to say it but I fear there will be little mysticism written out for Tron and as you called out... it will only turn out for the ticket sales of a great rollercoaster in their theme parks.
I dont trust Disney these days. In the past, I would have been ecstatic over news of Tron 3, but now I fear that they will ruin it like they have Star Wars.
I want Joseph Kosinski back. Tron:Legacy and Oblivion both have 2 of my favorite soundtracks. I'm guessing the director has something to do with that. Plus they are 2 of my favorite sci-fi movies. I'm worried a new director is going to screw it up. Plus, he directed Top Gun: Maverick. He knows how to direct phenomenal movies.
This is sad, you would think that TRON would be a guarantee. Hopefully it won’t continue to be up and down, I would love to see another installment. Hate that “Allen” won’t be involved, I think using original characters make a difference. Loved legacy
th-cam.com/video/SHU8NpGGhhE/w-d-xo.htmlm28s He’s not divorced from Tron just yet. He’s just probably assumed Disney doesn’t see value in Tron and got annoyed.
Your video sounds promising, I love the first two movies and had given up hope for a third. Also, the more time that passes, the more I appreciate Jared Leto, and honestly I can't understand the "body of work" comment 😅, he has been involved with some top tier stuff!
I HAVE SOMETHING COMPLETELY SEPARATE TO SAY INVOLVING (TRON) MOVIES & MORE: Now I know that a third movie of (TRON) was never made, even though someone once was thinking about making a third installment of it. So I think & strongly feel that a (TRON) live-action show series should be considered to get made.
This has been one hell of a rollercoaster of a ride for a trim super fan I’m glad to see it’s at least getting some hope it seemed doomed when they pulled the plug last time but I only pray I get to see a third trim in my life time
Exactly! If he’s not in it, I’m not gonna bother... Above all else, Alan Bradley needs to see the grid and *finally* meet his own program! That’s all I want
Rayna Robinson I really wished they had explained how much Encom knows about the Grid. The original Tron acted like the employees of Encom just use their computers normally and the Grid is just a world beneath the surface, but then it’s shown that they also digitize objects and Flynn is able to directly talk to Clu while he’s in the tank. In the sequel, Alan talks about assuming Flynn is still on his quest for a “digital frontier” but acts oblivious to the Grid the entire film. I wish the films had concrete mythology as opposed to everything being open to fan interpretation.
The only ones who knew about The Grid at ENCOM was Kevin Flynn, and to a small extent, Alan Bradley and Roy "Popcorn Guy" Kleinberg a.k.a. RAM's User. ENCOM was not connected to The Grid as it is a different system to the one in Legacy. Also, the server with The Grid is a private one, not connected to cyberspace.
Tron Legacy was an awesome film, where they missed some opportunities in the film were with the fight scenes, they were to short and to weak in there movements as they fought. They could have had some much better fight chirography given the tron world is not based on the sciences of the real world. They did not take it far enough.
I agree, it was a missed opportunity. The action scenes were cool but too short and too few. They could have done so much more. I didn't like the how they kept some of the stuff kind of grounded in reality when it should have been more fantastical, considering it's in the "Computer World".
I would love to know what happened to Kora after Legacy as well so I hope we see them in the third installment. I wonder if she and Sam got married and had hybrid children. The possibilities are endless here.
The problem with the ISO plot line is it radically reshapes the landscape of the real world if its potential is fully realized, and I don’t really care about those kinds of plot lines in Tron. I watch Tron to see how humanity influences the machine, not the other way around.
Roy CyberPunk I guess. I just feel that the ISOs open a can of worms that’d be tough to handle well. The implications of Quorra are too far-reaching to fit into an action movie that takes place mostly within the Grid, as opposed to the real world where she now is.
Roy CyberPunk As much as I’m interested in getting more real world lore, seeing another Hollywood movie of Earth being invaded from a portal to another dimension might feel a bit trite. It’s like how every movie has a climax in the downtown with a giant laser in the sky.
I just picked up the Record Store Day special release of the Tron : Legacy soundtrack on vinyl today. It really is special. So, I had to re-watch the movie this evening. I have the nice 3D Blu-Ray box set. I’m super excited, but also trying to keep realistic, that this movie will actually happen. I’d love it to be more of a battle between our world and the Grid, sure have some new characters in there, but really tie up some loose ends too. Fingers crossed we get something, indeed something great.
Just to be clear this film never got canceled. It was just shelved. And with anything shelved, it can be picked back up, it was absolutely NEVER canceled. A lot of people seem to think it was. But simply I don't think this film will be picked back up and I especially don't want it to considering Disney's reputation for screwing things up
The world needs more Tron. End of line.
Hehe I see what you did there, “end of line”

Dont worry, Disney will screw it up like each and every single thing it has touched in the last 5 years.
@@droe2570 It would help if you denote to the audience what MCP means? Thank you please! T^T
While the story for legacy may not be for everyone, the music and visuals were absolutely stunning
im not sure which way you webt, but the soundtrack is pretty killer too
Story was a let down. Fynn like jedi and godly was wrong way to go. On the positive..visuals were stunning.
@@chindleymuffin You can say that and I agree. Story was awesome all the way till Fynn.
I’d love to see more TRON more than Star Wars and I’m a Star Wars fan Disney butchered Star Wars story line
Just said the same thing
@@victorcapote7376 brilliant show I shall be watching tonight

Not exactly impressed with Disney's decision making track record.
'Rogue-One' is the ONLY good one to come out recently. In fact, it is my favorite next to 'A New Hope'.
To be fair, Tron has never really sold as well as Disney wanted. Just the idea of Tron is extremely risky, so I’m surprised we even got another.
There better be some Daft Punk soundtrack again! I swear to god if they don't bring Daft Punk back for the next one then I'm out!
It would be a big draw for me as well. They did an amazing job on that first movie...

Tron Legacy was one of few sequels that improved upon and transcended the original movie. Despite the box office returns that was an amazing sequel done so well in everyway! Also strongly support the soundtract!
How many TRON movies do you want?
Me: YES!
Tron Legacy's soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard!
Would be interesting to see Quorra, Tron, and Sam team up with Jet, and Mercury-wishful thinking.
Also, can't forget YORI. . .
The Tron ride is amazing. Riding on the front cycle is a must!
I didn't know tron 3 was a thing. I remember seeing the original at the drive in theater about 700 million years ago.

@@Manymorethanksplease because Sam isn’t meant to be as smart as Kevin. He’s more of a daredevil and activist, not a wizard engineer like Kevin was.
@@KizaruB I mean he hacked into the encom tower and was able to steal a important file and upload it online as well as logging on to the grid, as someone who does programming that is still something.
Thank you for this update. There is so much nostalgia and many amazing memories with this franchise.
Nerd Cookies, I really enjoyed your take on the upcoming TRON movie, lol it is happening one way or another. And I am blown away to see the enthusiasm that Jared Leto and the director have for this franchise. Keep up the good work and the great reviews coming!

I need tron 3 asap, it’s been 11 years, the actors from the second one definitely need to return
Fantastic news please keep us updated with you insightful posts and charm!
If it’s not a direct sequel then I don’t know how thrilled I am about it honestly, I really liked legacy and would like to see it continued
Disney went with garbages like Mulan and Star Wars 7-9 but abandoned this project..
I don't know whether to laugh or cry..
Can't wait for them to trash this universe, as well.
How about both?

End of Line
Loved the imagery! So clean and perfect. Hope they stick with this style.
Mitchell Leib (president of music at Disney) said they have a “great script”, so I hope they bring something fresh and cool.
I am a star Trek Fan, a Star Wars fan, a Firefly fan, but. What I really needs is more TRON!!!
To be fair, Tron Legacy was an example of them “remaking” a film from their back catalogue. It was a soft reboot of original Tron.
Tron, "I FIGHT FOR THE USERS!"
End of line.
@ That would be cool.

Right on! I never thought about that! Literally the only characters who have experienced the grid world are Kevin and Sam 🤦🏻♂️
From Legasy is one of my top 5 favorite movies. Thanks for sharing this info.
RIP Daft Punk ;(
Tron Uprising is seriously underrated. I'd rather see it concluded than another movie, but of course, I'll take what I can get.
That is so true.
Tron is criminally underrated and slept on
I would love to know what happened to Kora after Legacy as well so I hope we see them in the third installment.

The idea of Tron has always been that it can go both ways though so...🤷🏽
Roy CyberPunk I guess. I just feel that the ISOs open a can of worms that’d be tough to handle well. The implications of Quorra are too far-reaching to fit into an action movie that takes place mostly within the Grid, as opposed to the real world where she now is.

The new upcoming movie will probably be switching between the 2 worlds more often than ever before.
“Guaranteed moneymaker films”… yeah, about that 😏
Just to be clear this film never got canceled. It was just shelved. And with anything shelved, it can be picked back up, it was absolutely NEVER canceled. A lot of people seem to think it was. But simply I don't think this film will be picked back up and I especially don't want it to considering Disney's reputation for screwing things up
so sad that daft punk won't be on the soundtrack for Tron 3 :(
💯💯
Tron and Tron Legacy were great! Please do more... on the grid the possibilities are endless.
Derez Disney if they reboot it again
I agree
In a huge torn fan a lifelong fan thank you for this i cant wait to see this.
