If I were to apply this song to my life, it would be me talking to the past. It would be me asking it to “Stay with me” and locking the door would be a metaphor of trying to keep and recreate the past. Which I’ve tried doing a lot. Because, face it. Everything sucks nowadays. I just want to go back to the simple times when there wasn’t as much toxicity in the world.

If I were to apply this song to my life, it would be me talking to the past. It would be me asking it to “Stay with me” and locking the door would be a metaphor of trying to keep and recreate the past. Which I’ve tried doing a lot.
