Very interesting, and very calm. Probably not in the summer though!

It has always been busy in the summer when I visited, full of life and vibrant.

Hi Jimmy, great to see the old monastry again after at least 10 years. I visited my cousin living at Lorsch. But many buildings still were under restauration.
Did you visit the nearby tobacco museum? Very interesting. The area was well known for growing tobacco and its products. The summer heat and humidity in that area makes it possible.

Funny you should ask, I had some footage of a tabacco Halle in the field with an explanation about the connection to the local area but cut it out at the last minute 🙈 I was surprised when I discovered how much tobacco had been produced in this part of germany.

Glad you live around Bergstrasse and Odenwald area. That’s where I come from. I’m terribly homesick.

It is a wonderful region. There had been times where I was homesick about not being in London but those feelings have thankfully passed now. I have made this place my home.

I just realized how cool it is that I grew up in Ulm-Wiblingen with a monastry, the city nearby Ulm has the biggest church in the world and now I live in a little town a few kilometers away in Illertissen where I can see a little but pretty new castle every day on the hill.

I live so close to Kloster Lorsch. Have I been there yet? I must say unfortunately no. A new goal for summer.
