Within my two years with the Vela 403 I listened to it powered by 12 different amps: I tried the Arcam SA20, the Elac DS-A101, the Vincent SV500, Unison Research Unico Primo (🤩), Audiolab Omnia, 6000A, Arcam Solo Misic MKII, Marantz PM7000N, Sonoro Maestro, NAD C356 BEE, Rotel A14 and the Heed Elixir.
@@DigitalPhilosophers Ok, thanks even Shazam couldn't identify it. These do look and sound great even on a TH-cam video. I guess there's a reason they are £2000! Are they an Andrew Jones design?
Thanks for the review! Have you had a chance to listen to the Solano compared to Vela? I listened to the Vela in a shop, but it was a pretty big room, and they were not close to a wall. Everything was great, just the bass was lacking for my broad music taste. Classical, Pop, Rock, Jazz to House, Techno DnB and more. Hoping Solano might have more bass...
I have the Carina towers and the soundstage is similar, kinda in the middle between the speakers, I think it's the waveguide, and in my setup it next to projection screen so feel pretty cool
There is no Vela BS403 to be correct The BS403 is the older squareshaped model. It wasn’t called Vela back then. The Vela in this video is the successor to the BS403. That’s why it is called Vela BS 403.2
@@DigitalPhilosophers nice, I would urge you to make this happy soon because I almost go to order the limited signature in Zebra finish s400 mk 2 which of there are only 15 pairs left
@@KoenH-q1j nice video. But the Debut 2.0 and Unifi UB5 are definately not in the same category of the Vela's. I have the Unifi UB5 and they are great for a $300 price point especially a 3 way.

Wow, these sound great! Huge sound from relatively small boxes. I love the walnut version, personally. What was the music at the start of the video?
It is a yet unreleased song by Jay Young

Please compare the Elac Vela BS 403 with the new Buchardt S400 MKII.
I like elac more than the buchardt.
Yep please, they are the 2 I think I've narrowed it down to.
I would love to compare these two

I love the bass on the Vela 403. A retailer told me the Solano is a bit more bass heavy so maybe you would like that speaker. What about the Vela 407?
@@DigitalPhilosophers Thanks. I prefer bookshelf speakers for practical reasons. Getting the Vela 403 and sub would be a better option no?.
@@FunkeXMix Do you mean a better option than the 407?
@@DigitalPhilosophers Yup
@@FunkeXMix I can’t define better. I would choose the 407 for my room

The soundstage expands far left and right wider than both speakers distance from each other
Hey mate, does it sound good with edm? How about gaming? Thanks.
Hi, have you compared these to Dali Rubicon 2?
Unfortunately not yet
I compared them to the Rubicon 5. I then decided for the Elac
Hi what’s the song you’re playing thanks

i'm curious how these compete to the buchardt s400 m2, I like them both which makes it hard for me to choose 🤔
I would like to do exactly the comparison you mentioned

@@anjovandijk9797 Just do it 😊 Me comparing them could take longer
@@DigitalPhilosophers iam almost there but still hesitate because of the €700 price difference for just the zebra finish
@@anjovandijk9797 …and silver wiring inside and higher quality binding posts 🤩
and with the Kef LS50
I hope I will get the chance to hear the Metas at home soon
I better buy these speakers to try out and demo for my followers. People who hv them don't demo well.
Let me know. I will watch that video
