Im the old owner of the house, we rebuilt it in 2021, with an extension etc metal roofing, in 2023 we were told by MTO our house was now added to the bradford bypass, We had to move July of this year as we were expropriated. We ended up rebuilding a new custom bigger home 15 minutes away. Lots of memories here.
What a complete waste. If it's being demolished it should be gutted first and have cabinets, tubs, sinks, etc., donated to someplace like Habitat For Humanity or something. I think it's ridiculous that it already has damage and black mold at about 11 years old. All in all it is a nice house. Really small kitchen though and the garages would have been better on the side instead of in front. Thanks for sharing! Blessings of love and light to all!
It probably started getting Mold because they turned the power off, we had 3 sump pumps in the basement because of the Marsh being close. The kitchen had more stuff but we removed it prior to leaving.
So sad a good beautiful home again demolished, I would love to own this home. So many people that need a home for whatever reason this & so many others being demolished though-sickening . Great Find As Always ❤ your videos!!!!
It's sad. And unfortunately these 'big projects' aren't usually good news either. Generic apartment buildings and houses. Way overpriced. This world has gone crazy. It's all about money and greed.
In future would you give a more true detailed account of what happened to previous owners and why it ended this way for future videos thank you good video but like i said more history and facts would be great going forward
That’s what I thought! Such a tiny kitchen with absolutely no counter space for such a big home. Maybe the home owner didn’t cook?? lol that’s the only way it makes sense to me
I really LOVE that Stairwell!!!! I also like the Grey Gas Fireplace. VERY NICE!!!! The Kitchen, with the Dark Cabinets is Pretty as well. What a SHAME; another DEMOLITION!!!! Wish they'd try and save these places, especially ones that aren't that old!!!! Thanks Urbex.
My Dad's last Wife had saved Every receipt with cancelled checks attached from the 40s on up from California, New York & last hone in Florida. Crazy, had them in file Cabinets
I know, I'd take a bunch of the base boards. :-) There is a bunch of reuseable stuff in there like sinks, toilets. That spiral railing is pricey. All the doors/casings/trim and handles would good in another home.
IMO this house NEEDS to be tore down, it looks like its cheaply built house the design makes no sense . Lets build a small kitchen in the middle and a horse shoe of living rooms around it? and no flow to the house the granite or whatever it is floor just looks like it doesn't fit with the rest of the floor. Upstairs there is handrailing along a wall about 2-1/2 feet wide going nowhere . The design of the house outside, well there really isn't a design ugly as hell and lets attach a garage to the front so we have a roof to sit on. Sorry if the people that built this is on here but you can do better then this.
All of these big investment companies don't care one bit. They'll build generic apartment complexes and houses. Way overpriced. It's all about profit nowadays.
Amazing find. If the electric meter is live outside, you just had to turn on the main breaker in the service panel and the house would have been powered up. Ashame that the government can just take your home.
Wow Jus needs a metal roof that would take care of the mold problem . Id put in a lot more cabinets in kitchen. Crown molding is perfect the thickness of walls makes it better when its cold outside. Down in basement makes since a family could be down there living wow so much space love it open floor plan . Its in the making for us we are lookin at difrent styles and we found what we been lookin for here in NWP, Fl in 2 years. . This is sad going to be gone. why not give a family a home that has no home and they work at night i believe with kids? So many its a crying shame we cant care for others like we take care of our selves.:(
Beautiful house. Shame they had to move. You'd think they would've been notified prior to building that the land wasn't able to withstand a house... I am mad about that kitchen, though. All the rooms were grand except for that.
Unfortunately, when this house was built in 2013, nobody foresaw Drug Fraud being elected and then re-elected. He’s the one pushing for the Bradford Bypass; none of the parties supported spending millions building a highway that’ll save commuters maybe a minute…
People are sick to think that they need to demo descent houses! If i can jump in a time machine i would go back in time and say goodbye to people of today! SMDH!
I don’t think it was abandoned on purpose, if it’s going to be demolished to construct something else in that area, I believe that the City must of pay the owners for the House.. I seen it happen where I live at, the city paid a complete roll of houses street owners to built a Hotel in the area.. so maybe that’s what happened with this house.
That kitchen is pretty small for such a big house and why would they put a stack washer/dryer in a house I assume they built from scratch? I guess I would always put more room in the areas that we work in like kitchens and laundry than in random spaces like multiple living or dining rooms. I don't know many people who still eat at their dining room tables unless it's a holiday meal. If there were floor to ceiling bookshelves in the indoor balcony area it would make sense but just as an empty space, it's wasted. I like the fixtures and tiles in the bathrooms. The bathtub in the master bath is pretty but I always wondered how you clean behind it. That basement bath is SO tight. You could sit on the toilet and wash your hands at the same time. I would have had a terrible time NOT poking that water bubble in the strange room. The room with the icons on the wall look like Russian or Greek Orthodox Catholic art and there was a small crucifix in one upstairs bedroom. Interesting explore and sorry to be so chatty.
People can't buy these mansion. Most people can't afford mayintenance & property upkeep & taxes. That is why if I hit a lottery, I will remodel my basement. I would hire people to do minor damaged woodwork, paint inside too. It is 945 sq. Feet living space.
House was only 4700 sqft so no not a mansion. But we were planning on extending and adding another building unil we were expropriated. Now we built a new 5600sqft+ house.
So strange that the google images pictures for this property show that they were updated 2 weeks ago and in the pics there’s a car in the driveway and vespas and seadoos etc. The property definitely looks lived in. Was your video filmed recently?
For winning the lottery they weren't buying/building a grand home to live in. That house is very plain and too open of a concept. The upstairs is so small. I wonder why they left the home? Did they run out of $ or did they divorce? I see it's in Bradford, ON
We were expropriated and bought out from the government for the new Bradford bypass/Highway, we built a new 5600+ sq ft new house, No Lottery winners, we just own a small business company in the trades.
@@adriannovillo8465, but why let such little facts get in the way of a good story. Just like saying 12 years old is “brand new.” That said, it’s unfortunate Ford is determined to build this bypass. But I am happy to hear your family was able to build a bigger and better home! Best wishes in your new home!
Ugly house. Garage sticking out the front too far with a flat roof ruins the curb appeal. Looks like a commercial building. Only thing cool is the stairs.
Maybe because he spent so much of his lottery money on the house. He couldn't afford it. That's that's why I have a financial advthere so I don't waste my money. He probably owed a lot in Texas.
Some are easily blinded by money once they get a little more. You have to look forward too. Living large means more taxes and maintenance costs for instance. Not everyone's that smart unfortunately 🤷♀️
No lottery winner. Just people with a business in the trades. They were bought out by the Ontario government. They have since rebuilt a 5600 sq ft home. You can find all this in the comments. The original owners posted a few times.
This just goes to show you.. Just because you have money, doesn't mean you have the smarts to keep it.. Because, if I hit the lottery I sure wouldn't build a mcmansion like this.. Lol..
Maybe you need to go back and read comments because they actually tell you the information you need. The owner of the house is also on the comments. They did not abandon the house.
Nothing like making judgemental comments before doing even a modicum of research (which would have excruciating reading that post the former owners posted; reading and comprehending that might have taken days…😢).
Just sell the land and the house separately and have the buyer of the house move it. House not wasted. Would love to go in and take all fixtures so I can repair where I live.
Why do you record at a downward zoomed in angle? We know what a basic toilet and closet look like. We don’t need a zoom in if the wall! It’s given me vertigo 😂 please do better.
Yes the government can force anyone to leave. You ether take what they offer and if you refuse they will force you out and you end up with almost nothing.
Im the old owner of the house, we rebuilt it in 2021, with an extension etc metal roofing, in 2023 we were told by MTO our house was now added to the bradford bypass, We had to move July of this year as we were expropriated. They didn’t allow for you to salvage/sell stair railings, posts, kitchen etc?
Gorgeous home!!!
shame ya have to be forced to move out but eh i would fight to keep my home if i had dat
@tcaver I believe once they pay you out you have no further claim to the property.
Oooooo, BIGGER custom built home. Aren't you humble😂
What a complete waste. If it's being demolished it should be gutted first and have cabinets, tubs, sinks, etc., donated to someplace like Habitat For Humanity or something. Really like the architecture of it, especially the entryway. Can't believe somebody took off and left it, that's a beautiful home.
Usually older homes get demolished, this is the first seeing new house being demolished.
For the size of the house, that's a really small kitchen, no island neither ...
Passed by this house on my way to work everyday.
The Ontario government forced them out. But this contractor family was at least paid out. They have another nice-sized house now.😊
In future would you give a more true detailed account of what happened to previous owners and why it ended this way for future videos thank you good video but like i said more history and facts would be great going forward
What a waste, can't believe this is being demolished.
Could be used to help the homeless
@@sharonbridges9090it’s being used to build the new Bradford bypass highway connecting the highway 400-404.
Very awesome house! Too bad it will be demolished! Another one bite’s the dust. Cool video bro! 👍👍❤️🤘
Thanks for the tour✅👍🏻.
For such a large and grand home, it sure didn't have much for kitchen cabinets! I certainly would have installed more.
That’s what I thought! Such a tiny kitchen with absolutely no counter space for such a big home. Maybe the home owner didn’t cook?? lol that’s the only way it makes sense to me
This was an older home, completely renovated. 3630 east gwillimbury. Not a 2013 custom house. Anyways, still a shame.

Very nice home, but seems like a small kitchen for a home this size. Sad you have to move after just remodeling, hope you like your new house.
That's a ridiculously small kitchen.
It's a nice home but for lottery winners, I think I expected more. Sad to demolish it!
Did you ever think it "could just be a 1 million$$ winning and you would end up with $600,000? Hello!!!
It would be nice if they recycled some of the items in the property before they tore it down

My daughter turned her Garage into her Master bedroom! Her sister & 2 kids had the bedrooms in the house!
All of that beautiful detail and money all left to be demolished?? How sickening!

I read in another comment... they were forced out. Paid out by government for a highway

Interesting 🤔 awesome ❤
Hi Urbex!❤
Truthfully, the only thing i liked about the house was the staircase. The rest was simple and boring. Even the kitchen was lackluster.
Beautiful house. Shame they had to move. You'd think they would've been notified prior to building that the land wasn't able to withstand a house... I am mad about that kitchen, though. All the rooms were grand except for that.

It's rare to see the ceiling water damage - Overall the staircase is nice

That room looked like a dance studio

I saw some ceiling leak stains. There's issues certainly..
It’s being demolished to make room for the Bradford Bypass. The province expropriated it, sadly.
Why did they abandon it
That kitchen is pretty small for such a big house and why would they put a stack washer/dryer in a house I assume they built from scratch? I guess I would always put more room in the areas that we work in like kitchens and laundry than in random spaces like multiple living or dining rooms. House had way more cabinets, with a bar, fixtures were removed prior to leaving, we are roman catholics.
People can't buy these mansion. Most people can't afford mayintenance & property upkeep & taxes. That is why if I hit a lottery, I will remodel my basement. I would hire people to do minor damaged woodwork, paint inside too. It is 945 sq. Feet living space.

Why for demolishing?
Why is it abandoned and getting demolished such a lovely house
why they do not just moved the house
So strange that the google images pictures for this property show that they were updated 2 weeks ago and in the pics there’s a car in the driveway and vespas and seadoos etc. The property definitely looks lived in. Was your video filmed recently?
It’s definitely not lived in. It’s going to be demolished very soon.
Im from america but is this really happening in ontario
The land was what people want. All they need is the right buyer..
When the government expropriates your home, you have no choice. They pay fair market value and you have to go…
It says no trespassing I don’t get it!
Thank you for the address!
It could be used for the homeless
U.O that room with the bubble on the ceiling
What's probably like a room being rented out 500 bucks a month
I would of turned on the sump pump to prevent mold and flood
For winning the lottery they weren't buying/building a grand home to live in. That house is very plain and too open of a concept. The upstairs is so small. I wonder why they left the home? Did they run out of $ or did they divorce? I see it's in Bradford, ON

Yes

Why did they build it and then abandon the house only 10 years later? Was it a case of eminent domain?
Bradford bypass
Looks more like a kitchenette. It’s very small for a house that size.
My favorite room in the house was the dining room. You missed a room in the basement.
This just goes to show you.. Just because you have money, doesn't mean you have the smarts to keep it..

Yeah, seems like they never think about utilities, property taxes, upkeep etc.

Whatz up Ethan ! Just caught you at the end there.
Wow that's a great house for a group home like for handicap people
😂😂 What would handicap people do with a staircase like that seriously
@eatwithcandy7147 more like mental handicap and down stairs for psychically handicap
@eatwithcandy7147 people with mental disabilities can be upstairs and downstairs psychically handicap people downstairs
Just sell the land and the house separately and have the buyer of the house move it. House not wasted. Would love to go in and take all fixtures so I can repair where I live.
Government bought it, it had lots of other fixtures and cabinets we were allowed to remove.
Doesn’t make sense why would they demolish it unless there’s major mold infestation
just to think all that you see will be smashed up and to a land fill
Not a mansion 😮. But it's a nice small house 😂😂
What a waste. It is such a nice house to.
Were you in there alone. I hear a deeper male voice. Doesn’t sound like an echo. Any one else hear it? 🧐
He shows another person in this video
@ yeah I saw that at the end. I commented before that. 😀
Yes, one of his buddies who also has a urban explorer channel. Think it's Ethan Minnie?

small ass kitchen

Nothing special here, small kitchen. didn't like their ideas of the house
It says no trespassing and he is trespassing

Junk littering the landscape
Dumb lottery winners over extended themselves which a lot of them do.
Ahh, so it was something else, why did the government allow them to start building then?
Too much money and not enough sense, obviously.

What a waste...;-(
Video build on nothing, why are they leave, wat happend to them, ect, nothing of this!!!silly video

It’s being demolished so what does it matter if he’s in there?
Why would they demolished tv low ncome families who have a place to satmml
