    Ok ppl I have Don this mod as well a the you tuber dandy given info of a few things because of his set up is different from stock.
    1. fabricated a metal bracket is easy for the lose solenoid but you will need to rubber isolate it as the clicking will be herd if you don’t. Get a bit of 3mm metal cut out a L shape bent the short end of the L 45 Degrees back on its self then the short part of the L 45 degrees up on its self. Drill the holes to mount to the body and to the Solenoid job done…….if you can’t understand the best mounting point faces in line with the car but the Solenoid bolt mounts cross ways.
    2. The vacuums hose barb wont fit your stock Coupling at all well if at all. My fix is the following. Take the old hose barb cut it off the old hose. I would suggest citing threw the thicker bit then grinding it back. Order a 18mm to 22mm elbow barb then glue the old cut off inside the new elbow. Bake sure you account for the odd shape of the way it couples up to the car. Test fit before glueing.
    Look on my Instagram if your not sure.

    great video, thanks ive been thinking of doing this. But i dont understand why you couldn't just cut the pipe by the bulkhead and put a bung in both open ends? I am NOT a mechanic! But wouldn't that do the same job? I will now wait to be destroyed.....

      I have seen a wide variety of approaches, but I was going for the tidy approach. Also the fire wall is not flat and has an angle on it.

      @@de26 I would say it makes a difference if you want a natural sound. The tubing makes it sound fake in my opinion.

    • @EdGripology

      You absolutely can do it that way, for the benefit of other readers. You can simply detach the pipe from the bulkhead, bung or tape over both open holes, and then cable tie the detached end in place to stop it clanking around. Lots of people use silicon bungs sold for fish tank systems.

      Hi, I made a bracket out of 2 x 90 degree bent sheet metal and drilled the relevant holes. Looks quite neat if you do it with some pre made brackets

    This is a question about your DaveFab cat can.
    Has it got any mesh inside and how do you drain it.

    • @dss199
      @dss199  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi.
      As for mesh I don’t believe so but it does have baffles, to drain it is a bit of a faff as you have to remove the pipes. Then remove the whole unit and then use an Allen key to remove.

      @@megajohntopunishenslave427 so far I haven’t had much of a collection. Then again haven’t used it much this year as focused on restoring for next year. As for adding a tap it would be tight and would need some clever engineering. I would consider the mishi as it’s a easier to empty design although smaller if I can remember
