Hello! Mum of soon to be six under seven with a truck driving husband who leaves at 4am here. I do all these things (except toy rotation which is a great idea) too and it's the only way I can survive getting 5 kids out the door with the house not being in a shambles everyday. Also just knowing that this season of little kids will be over before we know it and it will get easier as kids get older and more capable and independent. It's a joy to be able to provide a happy safe, healthy environment for my family even if it means giving up personal relaxation and recreation at times. Although, pray for me as I approach newborn life again.
An olde but a goodie - while you’re cooking, clean up as you go along. Less dishes to load / wash after dinner and just less mess / stress in general. After we had our baby I instituted a new house rule, no dishes in the sink...meaning if a dish or cup is dishwasher safe it goes directly in the dishwasher after your done using it. There's plenty of items that can't be put in the dishwasher so those can be left in the sink, but otherwise right in the dishwasher. This method cuts down on A LOT of clutter in the kitchen. Also, try to have a clock in every room. They don’t have to be big clocks, but when you have a kid it helps you keep on schedule plus you don’t have to be chained to your phone all the time!
Me and my husband always make sure the kitchen is clean, house hoovered, trash taken out, laundry going / put away before we leave the house to go somewhere ( even if it's just to visit family or friends for 2 hours ). That way we come back and don't have to do anything other than put jackets and shoes away. Especially when we come back just before bed time. That way we can focus both on putting kids to bed and after we can rest together
That sounds so nice. When we go on holiday I always do this. But when we visit family or go to an event in the weekends, we always end up running late and often leaving the house a mess. Even though I love coming home to a clean home. Waking up a bit earlier would def. help, but we have so little sleep already that I dont know if I can do it.
You forgot one of your best tip : putting new bags at the bottom of your trash can so that everytime you take your garbage out, you have a new bag ready to be installed 😉
Add an extra 10 minutes per kid to the time it takes to leave the house, get ready for bed, etc. For example, if you have 4 kids and you have to leave the house at 8:30 in order to be on time, then start the process of leaving at 7:50 😂. I personally double the time I think it's going to take to get my 4 kids to bed. If lights-out is at 8:30, I start at 7:00. Kids are SO GOOD at swallowing time. Also, set an alarm for when it's time to leave the house or go to bed, or whatever. It really gets people moving when they hear an alarm go off!
My parents would have us out of the house as 4 kids and we were always 15 to 30 min early. People were surprised and wondered how we did it as a family of 6. Prepping for the outing the night before is what did it. Preparing the kids and telling them expectations. Hustling and getting ready to go hours before going.
New follower here👋🏼! One thing I’ve implemented since becoming a mom is ironing whatever clothing that needs it, straight out of the dryer. So all the clothing in my closet is neatly ironed and ready to be put on. Makes getting out of the house a breeze and I actually wear all my clothing instead of settling for something I don’t want to wear because I don’t have the time to iron it.
Does your laundry machine have a timer? Mine does. You put the clothes in dry and set the timer for be done by (for example 6am) and then as soon as you get up you hang the clothes or tumble dry them. Very helpful! Do it all the time as well 😊
@@hllymchllI put my wash in right before I take my nightly shower, after I do my skin care etc, I pop it in the dryer. Right before I go in for the kids, I take it out of the dryer and do a very quick fold and hang. It’s a good routine. (I also clean my bathroom right before I get in the shower.)

I just found your channel and have been spam watching your videos for the past week !! My husband and I have now been married 6 months and have been having more & more discussions on starting trying for kids next year. I have felt such a calling this year to work on preparing myself for being a mother and continuing to love my husband and being the best wife I can be. Your videos have brought me peace, motivation, advice, and some good laughs haha I really admire how you serve God and your family, and care for your home. I also found your blog post about choosing joy and it really spoke to me as that is a constant battle I continue to have with myself!
Glad you ended up here! I’ve been following her for a few years now & the way she goes about motherhood is with such grace and care and gentleness. I love her videos, they’re so calming
Me too. Laundry and unloading the dishwasher after and during making breakfast is my number one, it's out of the way and it feels great. I do it without even thinking every day As well

Our floors are so creaky I can't get out of bed before the kids😂 I want to get up before the others and do some stretches/yoga/writing diary. I'll just have to do it in bed then! As soon as nighttime sleep is a bit better🙉
Similarly to the nappy bag hack, I repack my sons lunch box ready for the next day as soon as he is home from school when I unpack that one for the day. I do most of the hacks you mention in the video without even realising. I feel like the more children you have the more creative you have to get. I only have 3 so I take my hat off to you 😂
A load of laundry each day - YES! I do that as well, and it is soooooo beneficial and definitely doable! Prevents overwhelm and frantic “I need clean underwear!” moments in the mornings! 😂
My nearly 2 year old loves to help me unload the dishwasher, do the laundry, vacuum, and cook, so I make it part of our routine to do all these tasks together. Of course it's a lot easier to do with just one kid!
Super curious, when you have outings (shopping, kids activities etc.) How does that affect your daily routine? Do you choose to do those in the mornings on the days you don't homeschool?❤
You look wonderful! I love your pretty hair - so pretty down. Your dresses are very feminine! I always have a smile on my face when I watch your videos😊!
I like your list! It works nicely for kids and having kids, I think. I clean a room a day or every other day depending on what is going on, rather than the entire home at once like some stress over. I am sure I have many hacks, but when put on the spot, it is hard to think of them. -JusticePirate
Where is that diaper bag from?? I absolutely adore it! Also I've been watching your channel for a long long time and as a mother of 6 myself, I find it very refreshing to watch the peace and calm that your exude!
I have a question: how much can children decide what toys tou buy them, what clothes they wear, what they eat etc? Do they have any chores like cleaning? I would appreciate a video on this topic 🤗
I feel like I'm the only person on the planet that doesn't do a load a day. I would so rather do 3 loads on Monday and then a easy load (like only clothes that need to be washed and no socks or panties or small things that are annoying to put away) on Friday. I like having days I don't have to do laundry🥴
I have a family of 5 and we do bedding on Mondays towels on wendadays and then clothes on Fridays! It takes longer to put the laundry away but like you said you don't have to do laundry constantly then!
As a mama to four sweet boys, I agree with every single thing you said! Now , I just need to apply these things to our daily routine! Also, I found that it's so helpful to get all of our clothing out for church the night or a few nights before. As well as prepping breakfast, etc. Sunday mornings can be VERY busy for us. 😅
Question, can you nurse in that milk maid style dress?? It is gorgeous and I want to get one, but I nurse. So it's sooo hard to find dresses that are nursing friendly!
Am I weird, or does anyone else do a lot less laundry? I don't find myself doing more than 2 loads a week - husbands work clothes, towels, occasional sheet or pillow case, 3 dirty toddlers, on a farm. I guess I do live in a teeny space that doesn't have many fabrics, curtains, tablecloths etc...but still :) I do have a big machine!
I love how you said ‘even if you’re not a mum or don’t have kids’ for those of us that are child-free. It makes this feel like a beautifully welcoming place for everyone 😊
I saw a hack where you have separate small laundry bins, and as soon as you take the clothes out of the dryer, you immediately separate them by person/room that they go to. Then you take that bin into that room. Next time you were in that room, you put those clothes away or do a little bit at a time. there’s nothing wrong with clean clothes sitting in laundry bin for you to pull out either. Clothes don’t really even have to be folded. Unless your kids wear dress shirts every day, you don’t need to worry aBout wrinkles. My toddler loves to take his folded clothes out of bins and throw them all over the floor, so I stopped folding them, and just put them in to their assigned places instead. This has helped immensely
@Sparcle5 ,thanks I have some strategies as well. I will try this bin strategy for my kids stuff. It is nice to know that my problems are not only mine and other people put thought to the same subjects...
Why did I I just want to say to you that I wish all of your family a happy holiday Easter which I celebrate not the bunny I celebrate the Lord anyway take care God bless you and you do good you are a wonderful mother is just so awesome anyway my son just got his passport he's going to be working for a company there in where you live in Canada so anyway you take care and God bless you
I've heard a lot of moms talk about waking up early but when you said "ready to greet my family" that just hit different

It took me 3 kids to learn a lot of the tips in this video. You're giving a lot of mamas the life hacks I wish I had back then.
You forgot one of your best tip : putting new bags at the bottom of your trash can so that everytime you take your garbage out, you have a new bag ready to be installed 😉
I just put in the whole roll, that way I won't have to go and grab "a few bags" every now and then
I do this too after she mentioned it 😂
I had to stop doing this because random holes would get in the bag being used and would leak trash juice all over the extra bag ☹️☹️☹️
I learned that trick from the custodian MS. BLANCHE who worked w me at a middle school. She made sure we were well taken care ❤
my sister’s friend phrase for putting away laundry is ‘put it away, not down’ and that has really helped me

Video idea/request: can you do an updated video on how you meal plan now that your kids are older?
I was very seen and heard when you said leaving the house in WINTER TIME.. yep
Always learning from you. Thank you
What was it that you poured on top of your waffles?
Hi, that piece of wood that you use to dry the bags, where did you buy it? can you link that? Thanks a lot! 😊
IKEA has them 😊
Hi tyfs, have a great week 😀
What vitamins do you use for the kiddos ?
This was an amazing video, thank you!
What did you put in your laundry (washing machine?)
Where did you get your pots and pans from?!
Where did you get your dining table and chairs?
These are great! ❤
Where did you get that wooden drying rack for you bags?!
Question, can you nurse in that milk maid style dress?? It is gorgeous and I want to get one, but I nurse. So it's sooo hard to find dresses that are nursing friendly!
Lots of love ❤from USA
Great tips thank you
I just thought, if as an adult my "toys" are my clothes, rotating things out would definitely make getting dressed easier and more fun.
such a usefull and intresting video!
Minimalism saved my sanity as a mom
Where do you keep your toys when you “rotate” them?
What cookware do you use? Is it ceramic?
They look like “Our Place” brand. My boss has them.
Thank you!
What kind of tree is that in the back 😍
Am I weird, or does anyone else do a lot less laundry? I don't find myself doing more than 2 loads a week - husbands work clothes, towels, occasional sheet or pillow case, 3 dirty toddlers, on a farm. I guess I do live in a teeny space that doesn't have many fabrics, curtains, tablecloths etc...but still :) I do have a big machine!
What diaper bag do you use?

I love how you said ‘even if you’re not a mum or don’t have kids’ for those of us that are child-free. It makes this feel like a beautifully welcoming place for everyone 😊
Is that a real tree behind you at the beginning of the video and if it is what kind of tree is it?
How many hours of sleep do you get at night?
Love this thank you @loeppkyslife can u ask where you got your diaper bag? I love it

YOU ARE SO INSPIRING ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I just posted removing my birth control after 15 years we are trying for our first ❤❤❤❤❤
Launry is fine, folding is the monster in our house.
❤
Love you
