Dr. Lynn Cohicks [Gospels and Acts] and Dr. Nijay Gupta [Letters and Revelation] were put on the NLT Translation Committee in June of 2022, both believe very publicly the Bible allows for female pastors. Once the NLT changes the Bible there will be a lot of pressure.

1 Timothy 3:2-12 (KJV) A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

It is my understanding that a woman is not permitted to speak with her head uncovered because she dishonors her head. A woman's covering or head is her man. Her man is her father if she's single, her man is her husband if she's married. If a womans man is ok with her preaching or teaching, then she is covered. The covering or head of every man is Christ, the covering or head of the woman is her father or her husband. Thank you for sharing your perspective with us.

  • @fireflames3639

How clear can the Bible get? My goodness people twist the Bible like crazy. How much clearer can this get: 1 Timothy 2:12 "I suffer not a woman to teach NOR to usurp authority over a man but to be in silence." Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..." We can't let culture change our interpretation of the Bible. Almost 2 thousand years of church history and now woman and men are twisting the scripture to say woman can speak to their own DESTRUCTION. C'mon pastor don't let culture change what the Bible clearly says. "Let God be true but every man a liar."

What about THE MOST HIGH'S WORD/BIBLE?? 1 Corinthians 14:34--38 States.........34). LET YOUR WOMEN KEEP SILENCE IN THE CHURCHES: for it is not permitted for them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the LAW. 35). And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home; for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36). WHAT? came the WORD OF GOD OUT OF YOU? or came it TO YOU ONLY? 37). If any man think himself to be a PROFIT, or SPIRITUAL, let him acknowledge that the things that I WRITE unto YOU are the COMMANDMENTS of the Lord. 38). But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.....

Prophesying and Ministry are two different things...........MALE = PROPHET: The "Prophet" proclaimed the message GIVEN to him as the "SEER" beheld the VISION of God...............FEMALE=PROPHETESS: A woman who speaks for God or a deity, or by divine inspiration. A woman who foretells future events. The wife or female companion of a prophet. Women Known to be Prophetess are Miriam, Huldah, and Anna........... A Minister of the gospel who has the charge of a church and congregation, whose duty is to watch over the people of his charge, and instruct them in the SACRED DOCTRINES........

Love your teachings but forgive me for having a different view on women who were putting themselves in harms way to be forced into sexual acts that are not suitable for peace. And where were male protectors in such cases who could had prevented such vile incidents. If that had to be the case then those women were in disobedience when these rapes took place unless these rapes were an act of God and if that's the case we have a bigger problem on our hands.

“The Lord is Husband.” We have a head. We have a covering. We are all the same through the Holy Spirit. When a woman leads or speaks, if she is anointed, it is not her but the Holy Spirit speaking through her according to scripture. We are all called to meekness, to submit to the highest authority in the room... which is the Holy Spirit.... regardless of who the Spirit chooses to use.🙂 The first people to spread the Gospel were women. You Jesus submit to 2 people in the Bible as an adult man... John the Baptist &
His Mother. (His mother actually against what He wanted to do... for he said it wasn’t his time yet at the wedding, but turned water to wine in order to honor His Mother.) This is why I believe “Submit yourselves one unto the other in the fear of the Lord” is the best protocol. Yield to the Holy Spirit in all. Just another way to think about it! 💕
