You are absolutely correct. I have been in Judaism for the last 20 years, now I recently excepted M essiah Yeshua! Thank you for following the Torah and Laws. It’s perfect from beginning to end. I wish more Churches followed these principles. What you are saying here is correct. I have not seen the Media in which you are referring to, but the principle in which you are saying to deal with this matter is correct. Unfortunately we live in a time where reason and sound doctrine are very hard to find. That’s why my heart rejoices to listen to your sermons Thank You! Shalom Elechem!

I sooo agree.. thank you, Jim Staley, for addressing this - it has eternal consequences if we don't get it right/ righteous.. as a former pastor's wife, I saw the "abuse" side far too often.. it encourages me when we "show the house to the house," & steps are taken towards the principles that glorify our Messiah.. In Acts 7:53, Gal. 3:19 the law is said, to be given by the dispensation through the angels. And in Gal. 3:19 (given by angels *UNTIL the Seed should come who is Christ* ) . makes it very clear that it was actually angels that gave the law. Moses gave the Sabbath before the 10 commandments. And, 2Cor. 2:6-9 calls the ten commandments *"the law of death and condemnation written and engraved in stone"* , not the law of Liberty. I think you would be much happier being a Jew and stop this pretending. Maybe, one day you will decide to be a follower of Christ instead one of those that persecuted, betrayed and murdered Christ on the Preparation day before the Sabbath. Otherwise, at this point you are no more than Judas Iscariot who pretended to love Christ and betrayed him with a Kiss. >

How does what Jesus was saying in Matthew 18, have anything to do with the situation being talked about regarding Mark Driscoll? Sounds like the situation has more to do of what God's Word is saying in 1Corinthians 5:9-13; actions of people not respecting a Holy God in His House.

Did Jesus apologize for being angry and turning over the money changers tables and calling them out publicly??? Did Da be I'd apologize for killing the giant when he got angry with the giant for mocking God!!!! No they didn't! When you see something that is an abomination to God, you have every right and should be angry with this person, and you do have a right and should call them out immediately!!! Jesus says be like me! He set the example!! Are you saying Jesus is wrong?? No he wasn't wrong! And neither was Mark, he was appalled with the abomination that was being committed on Jesus stage!! And anyone including you who were not appalled and angry with what happened should maybe think about you relationship with Jesus!!! No, I don't agree with you! Jesus was not wrong, Mark was not wrong! An abomination like that should be called out immediately!! Jesus did it! And if it didnt make you angry, how can you say you love Jesus!! You need to deal with it as the Pastor and if you won’t, then I will and if you won’t let me that I am out of here… That’s not what happened… Also, why did Mark not mention anything about two Muslim brothers that were shirtless performing “feats of strength“ Was that OK at A Pentecostal men’s conference?? As someone who has witnessed personal offense or personal sin being removed and the person redeemed by going through Matthew 18, I can agree when PERSONAL offense or personal sin against another or oneself is done, this is the best way to deal with it. Far more often than not, you will regain your brother and cover a plethora of sins. HOWEVER, having said that, Public Displays must be rebuked publicly, and do not qualify as "personal sin or offense." There was someone when I first started going to the congregation I am attending that had interpreted a tongue with a very Hate-filled speech towards 1 group of people. The individual was talked to in private, and taken through Matthew 18, but the INTERPRETATION that was heard by the public was rebuked in the moment PUBLICLY by an Elder, which Pastor Mark would qualify as, as not being from Yah and a foul spirit. Y'shua rebuked Demons and Pharisees speaking publicly and in Synagogues about Him or matters of the Torah in the moment for the good of the Congregation or the people in ear shot that were taking in something that could mean eternal consequences to those believing what the other party was doing was of God. Y'shua, Himself, states that He has not come to bring Peace to the World, but a Sword in Matthew 10:34-36. A person's enemies may be of their own Household or Household of Faith in which the Spirit has been squelched or the Love grown cold. Paul rebukes the Judaizers publicly by not having Titus circumcised and allowing Him to perform the Gifts of the Spirit to the Congregation in Galatians 2 to publicly humiliate the teaching, and therefore, the Judaizers themselves because their false teachings and false Spirit was affecting the Congregation as a whole. Too many times, I have went with other brothers in private to Pastors, Elders, etc. about something that happened publicly during Mass/Service, and even in the times I got personal agreement, for the sake of Pride, they never publicly recanted allowing the wrong interpretation to fester, and in all those cases, the ones backed by Scripture end up leaving the Congregation by request or by the Spirit. Every situation must be treated carefully, with love and humility, but we cannot sacrifice TRUTH for Unity, even if it means the Church breaks up publicly because of it.

Intoxicated by the riches of this world, they lose themselves and others. It's terrible to see this-I slowly begin to understand what must have been going on inside Lot when he looked at the corruption of Sodom and Gomorrah . I think the opening act for a Christian men’s conference was COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE and should have been stopped immediately. My heart breaks for any of the men attending that may struggle with homosexuality or porn addiction. It was thoughtless and preyed on sensuality and it was wrong. I’m still not clear whether it was abruptly ended then, or if Pastor Mark said that after the fact. But I believe it was not pleasing to God and any leadership that would allow that kind of behavior during a men’s conference should be should be held accountable. How dare Pastor John call Pastor Mark out and ridicule him for handling a situation wrong (in his opinion) when it was only a response to what Pastor John allowed to take place. I’m praying for all parties to have eyes to see and ears to hear God

Apparently you don't read your Bible my friend.
Ummm! Maybe you should go see how many times in the New testament where the apostles also were keeping the Sabbath.
The apostles were rebuking the pharassies and the Sadducees for the manner in which they were trying to convert the gentiles to the law.
Paul was basically saying what's the point of doing the law without the desire of the heart to do the law.

@@amberharrison2954 Nonsense. The Adventists claim *the law written and engraved in stone,* called the law of *"Condemnation and DEATH"* (2Cor.3:6-9) is "NOT AGAINST" the person who breaks the Sabbath.

Here's what Ellen G. White says: "...to knowingly transgress the holy commandment forbidding labor upon the seventh day is a CRIME in the sight of heaven which was of such magnitude under *the MOSIAC law* ( *the law of Moses* ) as to require *the DEATH of the offender.* But this was not all that the offender was to suffer, for God would NOT take a transgressor of His law to heaven. *He MUST suffer the second death* , which is the full and final penalty for the transgressor of the law of God." --Ellen G White, Testimonies for the Church 1, Chapter 91 - Proper Observance of the Sabbath --Testimony Treasures, Proper Observance of the Sabbath --Testimony for the church pamphlet In
So, tell me how after ONE time someone breaks the Sabbath, tell me how the breaking of the Sabbath is not *A LAW AND ORDINANCE (Decree) AND WITNESS HELD AGAINST THEM!* Because, Col. 2 says you were DEAD IN YOUR SINS, Sabbath keeper or NOT.

This is what I see on this story and telling you why. I was follower Mark but not anymore, I never follow James River Church because they teaching false. This situation not apply Matthew 18, this situation was a public other God ceremony. If you follow Mark you know he is just finished preaching the Judges series. So I think God give them the test, and he is failed. Why? This situation apply Elijah - 1 Kings 18 - 21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. - Mark reaction 1st was right!!!!! But James with dark manipulation call him back and he is was back and he said apologies to them. With this Mark do the wrong thing. Current times is dangerous, if you are on God side stay on that whatever happening. If Im there (Im nobody) I not even say a word just leave and never ever going back again. And I know Im right. The right thing for Mark to do would have been the following: Call fire from Haven, and Im 100% God do it! PraysYAH

To me this is showing us again how to judge properly and as the parable of the good fruit and bad fruit in chapter 7 of Mathew we remove the bad fruit from our lives. When we seek forgiveness from a brother or sister it must be done in a loving way in letting one know that they have offended or sinned. I think Ephesians 5:11 and Ezekiel 3:18-19 says it best and it is out of love we want them to know what they did is wrong.

I do not agree with your assessment. Lindell did not do his due diligence and check out who was performing at his own church. His sons are adult men and in leadership. They were contacted about this show after and their Daddy decided to step in and address the other pastor and then lied about that sword swallower. Lindell USED scripture and twisted it for his own advantage and then publicly tried to accuse Driscoll of wrong doing. This was a public display of spectacle behavior to put it mildly. Where were the elders who would discern this going on in their church and the pastor nor his sons or other leadership thought this was ok to bring a stripper into their church???? That Pastor who stood up and showed genuine concern for the men who were exposed to all that garbage is the wrong one? Jesus did a much more violent display and did it publicly.
Unfortunately, it appears that a majority of the men didn't walk out when they saw that guy ripping his shirt off.
That Pastor of the church will be held accountable. Yes, there should be forgiveness but he hasn't shown any remorse except to apologize for inviting the sword shallower and Mark Driscoll to that event.
Everything will be brought to light. God will not be mocked.

I think it meant don't physically harm, check David's example, he publicly called out Saul many times for trying to kill him, David however did not take it upon himself to physically remove Saul or take his life , he trusted that God would remove Saul in his time if and when he deems it fit. It doesn't mean you can't call out evil and stand up to the wicked deeds of anyone in Authority.

I've enjoyed many of Mark's video messages. He is passionate, but I've seen him be humorous too. I've enjoyed his Biblical knowledge. Seeing the visual of the "show" here I think it is very sad at that "performance art".
I do think it was more demonic than commandment oriented. I'll still watch Mark. Thank you Pastor Staley. I just discovered you through someone posting your almost 3 hour talk on "who is Israel" Wow, very eye opening. I'm a new believer and will look at the Bible very differently now. The commandment of the false prophets and false teachers of men that says Gentiles are required to keep the Sabbath in order to be Christian was explicitly condemned by the Apostles Peter and Paul and all the others as a heresy in Acts 15 through Acts 16. The Adventists and all the other of the fake Jewish Christians are condemned to hell for preaching their Judaizing heresy. And, neither do they keep the Sabbath or the commandments of God.
I don't feel sorry for them because they know they are in rebellion to the Apostolic command given by God Almighty at the council of Jerusalem. They are labeled *"false brethren who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus to bring us into bondage"* as Paul wrote in Galatians. There are scores and scores of verses condemning the Judaizers. One has to be utterly and willfully blind not to see it everywhere throughout the New Testament.

Wow... this to me is an example of the letter of the law bringing death.
People were watching a public display of sin. That display looked like somethkng you hear about in a visit to Hell. Red lights dark... had a very gay vibe. It took real courage to stand up against that. In such a huge public event. One against a thousand or better? So it is right that it be publicly interrupted and rebuked.
Revelation 2:20 because you tolerate that woman jezabel I will cast you on a bed of sickness... that spirit was in the church then and in the church now. I'm all for unity... but I think the male stripper sword swallowing was pretty dark. Sexual, sadistic... what if a man and woman were married but copulation on stage to show how to be one with christ ?? Even if it was just acted out... it would be inappropriate... God.. this is just a comment and it's hard to communicate the scope of this in a comment. But I'm going to bet that God was so proud of that pastor for not setting in silence but humbly coming forward and saying... this is wrong and these are the reasons why.
We all better quit setting around in silence. It is time to stand up! Look up.
    Jesus is coming.

Sometimes we have to let God lead us in certain moments.

Sorry, I don't agree with your assessment. Based on your explanation Jesus was wrong for flipping the tables of the money changers in the temple. Instead, he should have gone to the rabbi and expressed His concerns. Jesus witnessed the temple being turned into a "den of robbers" and acted immediately to stop it. These church leaders were allowing the church to become a circus! The offense was not against an individual, it was against God and His congregation. I think the attempted correction was appropriate and should have been allowed to continue.

When Yeshua lost it with the religious leaders, Peter (get behind Me satan), and at the Temple, was because that person(s) were coming/getting in-between Him and His Father's will. The Temple was the place where Hashem dwelled, it was Kodesh. With the leaders' "permission", merchants were allowed to DEFILE the Most Holy Place due to their greed, right IN YESHUA'S FACE! Oh yes, and most definitely, WITH a Holy Righteousness, He would and DID completely dismantle the joint. Same with Peter; he was getting in the middle of the will of Hashem and His Son with his thoughtless statement, causing a major rebuke! No difference between the Pharisees and the other religious leaders...Yeshua would rebuke them also.

This pastor did not just sin against himself but all sitting there. He should have been openly rebuked. Yahshua had Righteous anger when He took the whips and rebuked the leaders for what they were doing with His Father's House. He rebuked them openly. I see no fruit of repentance for this obviously sinful act of abomination. Manaseh brought male prostitution in God's house. Yah rebuked him and sent him captive to another country. He was deemed as the worst leader of Israel because of His acts he allowed inside God's house. He later did repent and tried to correct his wrong. God is gracious and merciful when we repent. Look at Joab , jezebeel was his wife. He did horrid things to Righteous people and prophets. But when he repented Yah heard him. But without repentance comes judgement. This man pridefully defended his actions. If he would not listen to the rebuke from the pastor he also was rebuked and yelled at from the men in the audience!! Who were also offended by this sin on stage. If He would not repent after the issue was addressed. Would he have changed the stage performance if he had been rebuked behind the stage.?? I know in my own life if I refused to repent. My sins alway were put in open shame . Yah allowed it. I deserved it. Bottom line what he did was sinful and wrong the issue is he going to confess and repent.? That's what brings healing and correctness. Not shifting the blame.
A similar event happened at a women's conference years ago of the naked cowboy performing at a Christian conference!! They knew what they were doing was wrong way long before they put them on stage. They didn't need anybody to tell them this was ungodly and sinful. They knew it. This is a sad condition the churches and trends of other churches are following. But God will not be mocked!!! What we sew to the flesh we will reap . Bottom line. Thank you Brother Stanley for standing strong. Shalom

    John 2:15-19
And when He had made a scourge of small cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers' money and overthrew the tables. [16] And He said unto those who sold doves, "Take these things hence! Make not My Father's house a house of merchandise!" [17] And His disciples remembered that it was written: "The zeal of Thine house hath eaten me up." [18] Then the Jews answered and said unto Him, "What sign showest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?" [19] Jesus answered and said unto them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."

When Adventist's and their like quote these scriptures, John 14:15 “If you love me, obey my commandments. John 15:10 If you keep My commandments," here's what they *REALLY* mean: is the "Keeping Christ's Commandments" *is to put every Christian back under *"the ministration of Death and condemnation written and engraved in the tablets of stone."* (2Cor. 3:6-9)
What the Adventists and their manifold splinter groups will subtilty tell you is that keeping the 10 commandments written and engraved in stone is the very SAME thing as keeping Christ's commandments to his Church. They will tell you that, the New Covenant is the writing of the letter of the law of the 10 commandments in your heart as long as you become a pretended Sabbath keeper, you qualify. They will tell you that using Christ's name to preach keeping the Sabbath is having the "faith of Christ" because Christ was a Jew, you are obligated to become and live as a Jew too. They are using the name of Christ to preach MOSES. And, in fact, they will tell you that Acts 15:21 says that the Gentile Christians are obligated to go to the Synagogue on the Sabbath day to *"learn Moses" , where MOSES IS PREACHED.*
Paul's Epistle to the Church of Rome: Romans 7:6 • *But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held* ; that we should serve in *newness of spirit, and NOT in the oldness of the letter.*
Again the Apostle speaks in Galatians 5: 18 *But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.*
And once more , Romans 4:14 *For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:* 15 *Because the law worketh wrath:*
Rom. 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Verse 2 Romans 8:2 *For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me FREE from the law of sin and death*
Galatians 3:12 And *the law is not of faith*
