Ciao, thank you, I’ve enjoyed watching your video. There were a few new things that I haven’t seen yet. One of them. I’d like to clarify a little bit, I thought you said that coming back to the states from Italy they do not check your liquids like they do in the states. Does that mean I can bring olive oil or wine back in my carry-on suitcase or do I have to put it in checked luggage?

Hi, thank you for your kind words! Rome Fiumicino airport Terminal 1 (that’s the terminal we used) has the CAT scan technology that allows you to carry more than 100ml in liquids. I would make sure that your plane is from that terminal cause Terminal 3 is still subject to screening procedures. We each carried 24 oz water bottles full of water through FCO terminal 1 and it was no problem. If you don’t have a connection between your last destination and Rome Fiumicino airport you’d be fine bringing a bottle of liquid of your choice. But last time even though we bought direct flights to Rome, American Airlines cancelled our flight last minute and changed our planes to the ones with London layover. In that case you wouldn’t be able to pass the security with that amount of liquids in your carry on in London. So I would suggest to put any expensive liquids more than 100ml to checked luggage. But if you have a bottle of water or two you don’t have to dump before TSA. Hope this helps! 🤍
