In this video I visit the gravesite of the “mother of the modern day civil rights movement “ Rosa Parks, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. I also visit the Henry Ford Museum where the famous bus from Montgomery, Alabama is on display.
Rosa Parks, née Rosa Louise McCauley, (born February 4, 1913, Tuskegee, Alabama, U.S.-died October 24, 2005, Detroit, Michigan), African American civil rights activist whose refusal to relinquish her seat on a public bus to a white man precipitated the 1955-56 Montgomery bus boycott in Alabama, which is recognized as the spark that ignited the U.S. civil rights movement.
The Henry Ford (also known as the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation and Greenfield Village, and as the Edison Institute) is a large indoor and outdoor history museum complex and a National Historic Landmark in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Michigan, United States. The museum collection contains the presidential limousine of John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln's chair from Ford's Theatre, Thomas Edison's laboratory, the Wright Brothers' bicycle shop, the Rosa Parks bus, and many more historical exhibits. It is the largest indoor-outdoor museum complex in the United States and is visited by over 1.7 million people each year.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969 as Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1981 as "Edison Institute".[

Rosa Parks is my hero. Due to her courageous stand, I can sit in the back of the bus instead of sitting in front just because my skin is white. My physician, an old southern black man, he said Rosa Parks worked as a seamstress, and she was literally exhausted that day. She didn't want to stand in the back when there was a seat available up front. She took that seat. I admire her conviction to stand her ground. Thank you for making this beautiful video and tribute, Scott. You really are awesome.

Rosa was a national hero and loved when Doctor Who did a story about her defiance against racism. It takes a lot to stand up for yourself and I'm so pleased that she did.

Such an amazing person! She sure was treated unfairly. People like her, changed the world. She stood up for what she believed in. Thank goodness for people like her. All was created equal in my eyes. What an awful sign in the bus, awful. So, did those flowers you smelled smell good, lol. Love to ya Scott!

Hi Scotty. Here I am at 12.30 pm while hopefully you are have a well deserved sleep in Canada. I have heard of Rosa Parks but didn’t know anything about her. Your little history lesson was much needed by a lot of us. You never cease to amaze me. You always show admiration and respect for people because of their personal qualities and you treat them in a polite and kind way. This was really a nice and peaceful video. Thanks. All the best. Love from Sean, Vanessa, Denise(daughter) Shannon (her fiancé) Blake (son) Sukanya ( daughter-in-law) Jesse(son) Shanela (girlfriend) and grandkids Jai and Cay Cay. All Scotty fans. The grandkids know you very well as they always see me watching your videos and ask me to show it to them. Take care ✌🏼

Try taking a bus it is mOre than dangerous 2022. Rosa parks came from.a family with 17 kids? Maybe she used this to feel important? Anyone from a family with 27 kids would need unnecessary attention.
