Hi, my baby was supposed to be born on November 18th but he came on September 24. Too early. He was in Nicu for 2 months with some problems but he got out and we were honestly thrilled. He is now turning 3 in September. It is fascinating and honestly, it has felt and still does feel like a rollercoaster. I'm happy for you and your husband. You guys will do amazing and can't wait to watch the future videos. LOVE TO ALL 3 and God bless you all

Mom of 5 here. All my babies were full term 40 weeks and 1 was actually 41weeks. The last couple weeks suck so much. But with how fit your able to stay you'll probably do just fine. But also take it slow towards the end. You could sent yourself into labor. I think you guys are gonna do wonderful!!!

You will 100% want a cozy blanket for yourself. I’m from vegas and just had a baby 2 weeks ago. I used it through my entire labor and was so grateful I had it. Made me feel cozy and relaxed me more.

I’m so happy for you! Can’t wait to see this baby! You are definitely very well prepared! I had my first baby (a girl) on June 20th, 2023 at 39 weeks and 4 days and I was just like you constantly wondering if I am prepared enough and if I have everything I need! Motherhood is definitely a learning game and trust me you will constantly have a million questions and every day there will be new things and challenges you’ll have to figure out, but surrounding yourself with helpful friends and family and preparing for success to the best of your ability definitely helps make the transition so much easier! You are doing great and you will be an amazing mom! Best piece of advice don’t try to strive for perfection, motherhood is not about being perfect and getting everything done according to a routine, it’s about being there for your baby the way your baby needs! You’ll always have time to do the laundry or clean the house, but those things can wait, most important is to spend time with your baby, bond with them, love them, snuggle them, get to know them, and make sure they are happy and well cared for! You’ll never get the newborn stage back once it’s gone so remember that it’s okay to make your life all about your baby for the first 3 months! Good luck mama ❤

Aww, always love your videos! Your energy and excitement in all things and especially baby girl Brueckner is infectious! The nursery is so cute! Love all the special touches. The rugs in the bathroom are a perfect match! I see a lot of moms use the gauze blankets, still warm, but lighter for hotter weather. Please don’t ever feel like any question isn’t worth asking, it’s how we learn. When baby girl comes into the world your and Josh’s motherly and fatherly instincts will kick in, it will come naturally to you both. My prayer is that all goes smoothly during labor and delivery and you get your September baby. I can already feel your and Josh’s excitement and pure love as you welcome her into the world! Much love to your soon to be family of 4 🤍🤍💕🐶

Son was 40 weeks + 4 days. Daughter came exactly on her due date. I had to get my membrane swiped with my son because I was not dilating or effaced. He was stubborn!!
Some advice with the wrapping, might not want to wrap her up because of the heat, and if you have to get a fan so she doesn't overheat. The bibs you can use when she starts teething! Saved my son's and daughters outfits because it caught all the drool!

I had all four of my children at 38 weeks!! The nursery is looking SO adorable!!! I’m so excited for you both!!! Did you pick out her coming home outfit yet?
Two of my four children were born in the summer here in Arizona.. I didn’t need heavy robes or heavy blankets at the hospital. I would definitely pack some light swaddle blankets for baby girl.

Usually, I don't make comments, but you asked about the burp cloths and bibs. I worked at an early child learning center in the infant and baby room for 2 years and have been a nanny for 3 years. This is what I have learned, but remember, every baby is different, along with every parent, do what works for you and your child. For the burp cloths, I would say keep them handy when feeding her, and I would always have them on your shoulder under her when burping her bec baby spit up milk a lot, especially newborns. As for the cloth bibs, some parents put them on their babies when they are up, like in a bouncer or boppy or learning to sit or teething. Mostly bec the baby will still spit up from time to time or drool a lot, and it helps keeps them from changing their clothes too much and from their shirt from getting wet. A wet shirt can make their chest cold. As for the clothing, just be mindful of the AC it might be hot outside, but the AC might be cold for her. That is something to research and just watch her and see what tempts affect her and pack extra clothes or a blanket just in case. It's all about watching and learning from her but I know you all will do great and I can't wait to know her name.

Hey Katie! Just wanted to add a comment on about the bibs. Bibs are very handy not only when they start to eat but , when they start teething and they drool. Another thing that might be helpful tip for ya is getting mess proof/ water proof bibs or the silicone ones !! They rinse right off and easily to re use instead of the cloth ones!

You’re so right, definitely a learn as you go thing! I felt like I was prepared to care for a baby but in my opinion, feeling overwhelmed or like you don’t know all the answers is inevitable in the beginning… it will pass though and you, Josh, and baby girl will get into the swing of things!❤️ So excited for you guys!!

Hi Katie!! I had my daughter at 39 weeks because she was breeched and they were concerned about her not getting the nutrients and how she was positioned they were also concerned about her not gaining weight anymore!! But I had a scheduled cesarean!! I'm so excited for you and welcome to soon to be motherhood!!! From one first time mom to another don't stress yourself out cause you have to remember you're doing amazing and make sure you remind yourself that!!! Don't let others opinions dictate your feelings and your parenting because at the end of the day you're your baby's mom!!

I had my son at 34 weeks but I had complications, I would suggest having a bag for yourself ready to go just in case. Hope everything goes well for you! Love watching your videos!!

The swaddle blankets I used for everything to toss over the carseat to lay baby on if you’re out or even in exchange of a burp cloth. I used them until my littles were 2-3 years in their crib as a sheet deal because the more you wash them the softer the get

I'm not sure how many sleepers / onesies you have but I would stock up on a bunch of the 2 way zipper sleepers in both size Newborn and 0-3 months! That's ALL that they live in when they're first born and you will thank yourself when you have a surplus of sleepers and you don't have to do laundry 24/7! You have a good amount of other types of clothes! Also! I would recommend having a single pack of onesies and a sleeper or two and then a coming home outfit if she's measuring anywhere near 7-8lb or under! Most babies that are around that size will be swimming in their newborn outfits for at least a week maybe two and you'll be so much happier that you have a couple of items to get you through until she fits into her newborn stuff! The nursery looks ADORABLE! I would recommend getting a blackout curtain for the window in there if you haven't already! That combined with the hatch set to the red color helps babies sleep so much better!

I agree with you Katie you can’t prepare for motherhood your baby could be completely different then what you thought they would be or one day they like something then the next they hate it and scream or hate something one day and be okay with it next time babys are extremely unpredictable but are such a blessing and are such a beautiful creation for example my baby hated sleeping in his own bed for the first 2 months of his life now he loves his bed

When you do trash bags for diapers (Great idea btw) put a garbage bag in the actual garbage and then take it out when it gets full, instead of grabbing bags of diapers, you grab and tie the actual trash with diapers in it. Hope that makes sense!

That was one thing I think I didn’t realize, that they don’t actually need to be wrapped up as much as you’d think. What I’ve heard is that you should dress them as you would yourself for the most part. You’ll be able to tell if their hands and feet are cold or warm too, so that helps.
I had my baby at 41 weeks. And I think that was only because I had a membrane sweep a couple days before. You can tend to go late with your first especially, so don’t be discouraged if you have to be induced or something. I got really discouraged with that, but looking back I wish I hadn’t. Everyone is different!

My mom has always said that baby girls come early 💜 I think my due date was Feb 7th and I ended up being born Feb 2nd. But ultimately it just depends on how your body is with pregnancy 💜 Your body could be like “nope I’m done” and she comes early or it could be like “I will keep her in her forever” and she will be there for the full 40weeks

And get nipple pads (absorbent) I quit breast feeding because you wake up in the night even if the baby isn’t hungry and you gotta pump (every 2-3 hours) or you’ll wake up in a puddle of your own milk. Now if you decide to switch to formula I suggest a baby breeze formula dispenser. Saves so much time !

    1st: 39 week induction 6lbs 4oz
    2nd: 34 week emergency cesarean 4lbs 10oz
    3rd: 37 week cesarean 5lbs 10oz
    I had small babies...
I hope you will have a great experience
Bring a light blanket and some pajamas with pants or cropped pants and a button up top for easy nursing access...and your nursing bra for support when your milk comes in. Obviously it's hot outside, but hospitals are cold partially to keep germs from spreading so easily.
There are little fans you can clip to her carseat too with that kind of heat. Maybe reach out to Matt and Abby. They have experience in AZ with new babies. Ask new moms at church too.

I went to almost 42 weeks with my son. I was induced but ended up having a c-section. With my daughter, I’m currently still pregnant and I’m at 38 weeks 3 days. I’m so ready. I feel like she will come earlier than my son but still not sure. Also! Get a diaper genie girl, it’s a game changer for those smelly diapers. I still use mine for my son and I love it!

First baby 41 weeks (8# 12 1/2 oz) and second baby 37 weeks (9# 4oz) You will need a lot of sleepers and sleep sacks her first 6 months. Swaddles her first few months. You’ll get a lot of diaper blow outs. You will be fine and ( you just mentioned bibs) YES tons of bibs for spit ups. New baby’s and the first year spit up and drooling. Never leave her alone with a blanket or in bed with a blanket. A/c can make it chilly so you may need blankets

    1st baby: 36 weeks
    2nd baby: 38 weeks 1 day
    3rd baby: 39 weeks 1 day
I am now pregnant with my 4th and due in August 15th but have an induction date set for August 10th because my 3rd decided to come out on his own with no Dr.
I can’t wait til you have your baby girl and to hear what her name is. You and Josh are going to be amazing parents 🤗 praying for you, Josh and the baby!

1st baby 39 week elective induction, 2nd baby 38 week spontaneous labor :) I feel like first time moms tend to make it to their due date or past more often.

My mother had me in the summer in Louisiana and she said that big blankets are needed but you don't have to bring them but it was really helpful for her because our hospital where I was born got really cold

I am soooo excited for y’all!!🤗 One thing we really wished we was more prepared on is the amount of times you are changing their clothes throughout the day. Make sure you have TONS of onesies! Definitely using bibs while they eat even when they are newborn will be your best friend! A lot of stuff you will learn along the way. You will get in your groove when she gets here and find what works best for y’all!🩷.

and just a small tip, if you flip the diapers over, it will be easier to grab one when you are changing rather than trying to grab all the different flaps on that end of it. just thought that might help!

You should put a bookshelf next to the crib or like on top of the crib
