In todays video, I finally fix my turbo 2RZ Toyota Pickup! Previously I built this entire truck on the channel and had a blast doing it, then when it was all done I put it on the dyno where it made really impressive numbers but unfortunately the transmission couldn't keep up and went out on the dyno. I finally got a replacement stock transmission so I can get back to enjoying my sweet street truck, but immediately found a few issues I needed to resolve, so this week I tackle everything I can to make this a better daily, then TAKE IT TO MOAB UTAH!

Cool truck😃. I think a recirculating blow of valve that feeds the air back in before the turbo but after the MAF sensor instead of dumping the already metered air will eliminate your stalling issue.
I was looking for this comment, agreed - the VW 20v turbo's were the same, a regular blow off valve venting to atmosphere would cause big running issues, it ends up throwing the AFR way off.
Yes! This is definitely one of the things I want to do, but need to find the time and availability, which is hard, I’ve got a few big projects going on in the background right now
It looks good with the short bed. My uncle had a 1987 2.4 diesel with the long bed, bench seat with ½ inch of foam and vinyl floor.
It could do real good donuts with its limited slip diff
a wax job and take off the mud flaps would get that little pickup looking very nice. great work on the truck, been cool watching the transformation of it.
you should go to an in tank pump, they last alot longer.
I want to, I just need a factory EFI tank, I just haven’t spent too much time actually trying to find one.
I had a similar issue a while back. My external fuel pump was higher than the fuel level and it was losing syphon on the pickup. I moved the pump as low as possible and never had an issue again.
Just got finished the manual swap on the '73, can't wait to watch this
Seriously appreciate the support!
Love the build man! I drive a lil 1993 extended cab 2wd toyota pickup with the 22re. I love it! However its a gutless hog. I dont have the sr5 cluster or steering wheel. And on long trips its a lil sketchy/slow up big hills. So although my body is cleaner and only 100x miles. Im envious of your truck! Install AC in that thing and you will have the perfect lil commuter/daily. The extra HP makes it sooooo much more enjoyable on long trips in hill country! Also safer in a way to be able to get outta some peoples way lol
Mines an automatic. Shifts like a dream. One day when it doesnt though i plan to manual swap it!
A manual would help it a ton, the old automatics rob power big time!
I want AC, and that is one of my biggest gripes with the turbo truck!
Great series! I look forward to what comes next.
Glad to hear it!
Hey bro that’s a great truck
Thanks! I really enjoy it!
I really been enjoying these videos , Keep up the great work.
Glad you like them! Definitely want to keep
Posting videos and improving my content!
Do a maf delete 3-4 bar map sensor…. Speed density kit
I’d go full stand alone before a piggyback with a speed density, but honestly it’s not bad, and i probably won’t do anything about it 😂
🙌🙌🙌
🤘🏼
These videos are so damn good and this fella is inspiriting to watch. Keep up the great work man.
I'm watching your channel from Spain, we have 98 octane unleaded gas here. Your truck will like it.
I live at about 7,000ft in elevation they don’t have higher than 91 here
@@redlineranch. You ever want to visit Spain (I'm from WA state), you are invited to stay with us. I have a 2011 Yaris RT 1.3 liter, it moves, not like the ones (Yaris) in the states. Keep up the great work & videos. Thanks
US octane numbers are lower than EU numbers for the same properties. Look up "Octane rating"
First one today
Dang! Appreciate the support a ton!
What ever happened with the fuel issue?
Funny how the simple things make such a huge difference. Mirror and cooling fans! Luxury
Such game changers tho!
thats cool you got to hang out with Grind Hard! this truck is sweet!
Yes it was an awesome experience!
