It was great getting to see you both on the trail and having lunch with you in Idylwild! And many thanks for the two of you pitching in to make repairs on our wounded RV--you saved the rest of our trip for us. Love these updates and love you both. "Anna's Parents"

Great videos! Love that one of the toughest days brought some of the best views/reward. Funny how life works that way……❤. Keep it up!

What a journey of ups and down, both literally and figuratively! Keep your chins up, making good progress and I'm sure you're having a blast.

There are tough times for sure! It’s been an adventure so far but it’s also amazing!

I haven't been back to San Jacinto summit since 1983 when I visited a friend and waited for an Eagle Claw spin/fly rod to arrive before starting a hitchhiking trip to Alaska. That mountain used to be a favorite stomping ground for me and back in those days, a burger joint named TAYLOR'S just before entering Idyllwild was the only place to go for something called a "Chili Size". It was almost impossible to eat it all in one sitting with the massive amount of fries that came with it too. That last trip to the summit, I found a small sandy area about 7'x5' surrounded by giant boulders and right on the summit. It was my camping spot for the night and the winds howled like rabid banshees that night but the sky was clear and cold and dry. It may have been the last of many trips up there but it was one of the best. Lots of good experiences await you on your journey. Cherish the hard things as well as the sublime.

That sounds like a memorable experience! We never made it to the summit unfortunately. Already behind schedule so we just took the PCT. Snow was tough enough. I would like to come back some other time and hike to the summit! Looking forward to the journey ahead. Cheers!
