- Sam is getting really familiar with his world.
I was hoping to gettin to this point. We’ll work in on the other side of the river once it warms up. I don’t need him trying to swim across a partially frozen river.
Getting a Yorkie trapped under ice is a huge fear of mine.
Nicely done Sam
It was so nice to hear you sometimes carried him in your jacket.
I had no idea at first, but I discovered that dogs' paws can only endure freezing temperatures for a certain time limit.
Their little paw pads are not as durable to handle extreme heat or cold as we think.
But his little walk with your jacket break(s) looked fun!
I try to keep an eye on him, and catch it before he can get distressed so far. Sam hasn’t come close, so the jacket rides have mostly been for my benefit more than his.
Sam the Man is going to get blown away in the wind. Each time you go on the trails Ted is right there beside Sam running with him guiding him. What a joyful little Dude. He is one of my favorite Yorkies on TH-cam! Sam is going to be a star. Thank you for sharing him with us! 🐕❄❄❄❤ Joey the Yorkster says "Howdy Sam"!
@@yorkiemom1892 I was wondering how he was going to do, Ted used to do walks to the end of the road right from day one. Sam was stopping right at the end of the pasture for quite a while.
Super ADORABLE yorkie 💚🤍💚🤍💚🤍💚💚🤍💚🤍 very HAPPY pet hehehe 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Kisses from Yoshi woof woof 🐶🐶🐶
@@YoshiYorkshire Thank you, yes he is!
No matter what the weather is like out there, dogs love being outdoors.
Please always keep your eyes on that baby, I know he knows the way home but there are predators everywhere, I wouldn't let him out of my sight ❤
Sam is cute. He seems to not mind the snow.. I have a date with a furry little guy next week!
@@KristinHaugstoga Thats great news! It’s always nice to give another little one a great life. ;-) Yea, Sam isn’t bothered by the cold at all. And he loves the snow, he runs out there and uses his face like a snow plow.
@ Yes, I am very excited!
@ Will it be another small dog?
@ Yes, a bit bigger than Milo. He was a havanese. The puppy I am meeting is a Tibetan Terrier. Not very common here.
@ Not that common here either! A bit bigger than my little guy. Sam is going to top out at 10lbs. You’ll have to post video!
Careful cayote might decide he is a nice light bite had one try to take my pug just outside the garage door
@@corryg6403 yea, we watch out for them here. So far they seem to keep their distance because of the donkeys.
@@JimsEquipmentShed I had 2 livestock dogs that were busy else where when this happened. It seen it chance and if I hadn't come out when I did she would have been gone
@@corryg6403 A few years back my last yorkie got a free offer for a ride in the mouth of a coyote. I turned around just in time to yell at it. It was focused on Ted, so I startled it, and it took off. Ted, pretty much deaf at the time had no idea what even happened.
