Pete, I'd like to offer compliments for your ability to keep the video interesting. There are times when a player bots out and there's a gap with nothing happening, and you fill that gap really well. Not just this video, but others too.
Appreciated man! I've been working live with minimal editing for a few years now so it's become a bit of second nature not to strand you guys with too much dead air.
green was a homie right from the start. gotta love it when you bet on the correct horse even though you have no idea of whom any of the horses are, green being the winner of the bet.
Well yellow went into green and broke his Northern Europe right from the start and continued to bully him and Magenta, with the cap choices red should have taken Russia and broken Pete from one side and green and blue from the other. None of that happened of course, they were to busy fighting and not letting each other hold, a turn 3 over 20 start was the point at which they should have stopped the "fkry" and sued into Pete. The rest was inevitable. Such an easy win, pity there were no good players of Euro caps in that lobby, I would have enjoyed this one, as any player haha 😂😂😂😂
Hey Pete! Been watching for a while now, and I feel like I’ve learned so much. Slowly getting better and even getting patient. Won a 2 hour progressive cap conquest on Europe advanced from watching you. Thank you and keep up the great work!!
Can confirm, equalizing the speed of mobile and PC would be great for the growth of the game. I only play mobile and actually got really good (thanks to watching Pete’s videos). I’ve now stopped playing because I’m at a level where I cannot win most games purely because the PC players at the same skill level are far too fast. I can consistently get second place, but never fast enough to win in the 1on1.
@@TheKillPeteStrategy because I’m a dad of a toddler and have to fit games into smaller time slots. Hahaha. Fixed with long turn timers always stalemate for me and can approach 2 hours of playtime. I usually end up suing whichever guy pissed me off the most and leave. Or I’m playing at night and start falling asleep. Either way, would be really nice to be competitive on mobile without having to strategize my own life around playing a game. That starts to feel like I’m owned by it and no one wants that.
I would like to hear more of the answer. I'll make this short: I finally found what I wanted to do, got my job, one dude kept coming in and I rolled my eyes, but eventually got over myself and started to see when this gentleman came around I had a chance to learn from my errors and from his much more experience. I feel my only insecurity comes from a shake up in new processes, but have confidence in my adaptability because I am good at my job (can learn more) just learn the process shake up. (The person's question and you're response plucked a life leason)
In my humble opinion, confidence is knowing your good at something, while arrogance is believing that makes you a better human than someone else. I also hate the use of "In my humble opinion" when nobody asked that person for their opinion, but they assumed people needed to hear it, which is the opposite of humble. 😁
I'm asked my opinion a lot. I wouldn't presume to say it's humble because how am I to know. And I definitely don't think of myself as better than anyone. Luckier perhaps...
@@TheKillPeteStrategy An absence of humility is not always a bad thing. I don't think TH-cam would exist if it were. I'm glad you believe your videos are worth posting. We all agree!❤
Hey Pete.. thanks for your videos. I find it very relaxing to watch them. I've now started playing myself and thanks to your many tips it's going well and is a lot of fun. But I have one question: at the beginning of a round you see how many troops the player receives. I don't see that and have to look in the battle log every time. how can I set that? Thanks and good luck with the channel... I'll keep watching :-)
@@TheKillPeteStrategy Sorry for the late reply. I couldn't fix the problem. I tried every setting in the game. I guess it's a bug. However, the problem only occurs when I switch to another steam account. I wanted to practice with it without ruining the statistics of the main account. But the good thing is that, thanks to you, this is not necessary. I Totally agree with you on the speed limiter and the harder to get higher ranked when only using mobile. BUTTTTTT i Hit Grandmaster today using mobile only. Im so excited
@@TheKillPeteStrategy love your content sir. Honestly watching you play gives me the know how to go about the game the quickest and most efficient way. 3 rules. Don't cap on corners, don't cap in noob corner, and PUT TROOPS ON YOUR CAPITAL
Well played Pete but this game is the perfect example of why I rarely play the meta settings anympore. There is a big chance of a snowball happening in every game due to noob players playing like shit and if it's a decent player getting the spawn luck for the snowball, there's not really a lot you could do to stop them. Sure you can try chaining the kills of the bad neighbors botting out after their terrible strategy failed but if the roles were reversed in this game, you were in greens position and they were in yours I doubt you'd have a chance of winning the game no matter how well you play. Don't get me wrong, this was a perfectly executed snowball. You figured out where everyone was on the map and knew you had to roll reds cap to snowball hard so I'm not saying you won this game due to luck. Novices and Beginners could easily lose the game from your position.
Hey Pete, is there a reason for you having only one membership tier? I would like to support you but 5 € a month is more than I am willing to pay and other creators I follow also have options for smaller amounts. Would it be possible to add those to your channel too?
@@TheKillPeteStrategy Ah, I did not know, I don't really use Twitch. I will check it out. Don't worry, I don't feel any obligation, I just wanna support you a little as a thanks for the stuff I watch.
@@TheKillPeteStrategy That's just how it has to work. Right now you can roll an attack, determine the result on your computer, and then immediately roll another attack. You can repeat this many times over the course of your turn, not waiting for anyone. Meanwhile your computer is sending out updates to the other players so that they can see what is happening, but it isn't waiting for their responses. With a client-server model your send a message to the server saying that you want to make an attack. That message has to make it to the server which will take. The server then rolls the dice and sends the result back to you. You have to wait for this round trip every time before you can roll the dice/blitz again. I would expect this to take at least 0.1 seconds, but it can easily be 10x that if your connection is bad, or if the servers are overwhelmed, or if SMG just programs it poorly.
Pete, you call it noob corner but the player who caps there (as long as it’s not in Iceland) preferably London seems to usually get quite strong. As long as you don’t play like a noob, is it not actually a good place to go, assuming you are able to get out in the late game/not get card blocked. Thanks!
It's a fine place to go. It's not my term. I dont know who originally coined the phrase noob corner. Many risk maps have a noob corner. Classic has Australia. Pangea has the jackpot on the right hand side. Etc. The thing to keep in mind about this is if you see some part of the map as op, there's a good chance someone else sees it too. And fighting over that piece will give advantage to those who aren't there.
@@TheKillPeteStrategythank you very much for the well laid out answer, that makes perfect sense. better to stay out then fight over it and end up being a fish.
