@@TheKillPeteStrategy wasn't there a tournament game in africa or something where you get screwed super early and then sat in a corner the whole game passing, whole game, then pounced right at the end onto an opportunistic kill and swept the whole board or something ridiculous. You shouldn't have won, and some of the tournament people were pissed.
Wasting troops on that south east cap was a massive throw. Could have crushed green and two pointed the whole west but decided to buffer red from black....
I think if Pete watches this back he might realise a thing or two. First Pete ignored the turn when black got something like 22, and second he did not let red get a 3rd and 4th card, so red sat on 2 cards , when Pete needed that kill. Pete should have let green just have his North Africa ( which Pete interfered with- give your oponnents what they want- remember Pete) and then Pete could have just sat behind his 2 castles on UK, Iceland, Scandinavia and able to take Asia and card trade with black .. AND kill red, all without losing all his troop stacks on his Northern Europe cap. Ask Kilted what he thinks .. I bet he says something similar about this play by Pete.
@@stevesartain5804 Agree, thanks for the detailed reply. Only way I see to make that cap take useful is to farm the red kill at 3 or better but risky 4 cards. I still think, using those troops to try and hit out into france and spain puts your in a good spot that game.
3 minutes in, do you actually pull 3 troops off the south cap to go north to defend it with a 7. Also the amount of Big Wigs in the chat, I saw Kylted, Zango, Xerokee, so many tournament scene people.
Black had three different times a cap run, yes he was slow but that wasn’t his main problem. He was dumb. Hope we watches this so he can improve himself.
Lol I just needed a few more troops, also pete bombing all his set into NA after the break rather than put them on cap to ensure he held onto the two north caps 😂😂😂😂
@@TheKillPeteStrategy 27:50 he attacked you instead of the bot, although he didnt it hard it enough. wouldnt it be better to knock you out (which he didnt but that was not known at this point) than attacking the bot, weakening himself in comparison to you?
Going for the yellow cap was a mistake. You needed those troops fighting green. But hey, when you play against 5 novices and a beginner you're allowed to make mistakes since you can always count on them to make even bigger ones. Surprised, how terribly black played the 1v1 because I was convinced black had to be an experienced player based on how they reacted to the green aggression in the early game. They retreated on cap, let green fight someone else and came back a couple turns later with +20. I love adopting this strategy as well but boy did they have no clue how to play the game. Hard to tell who was the biggest noob here. Green with the sue and bot out after antagonizing all their neighbors? White with the stupid noob corner neighbor cap? Red going for triple split bonus while locked in a pocket? Yellow capping between black and red? I'm so glad you ended up winning it because I hate when noobs are ruining the game and throwing it to another noob. Tbh players like green should be banned. Their entire strategy is : "I'm going to steal your shit, break my neighbors and you better don't dare to retaliate because otherwise I will sue you and throw the game to someone else!" That's harrasment and violating the fair play rules imo. They're not playing to win, they're playing to ruin someone elses game.
Pete’s mechanical skill and ability to read the fog is top notch. What holds him back from being a high level GM as opposed to a mid level GM is his ego and vindictive nature. This benefits him in tournament play where other players are well aware of his tendency to go full Sampson option on anyone who hurts his feelings and therefore they avoid doing so. Playing against randoms, Pete throws many a game simply because of his determination to perpetually punish anyone who refuses to do his bidding. I play on my phone and would probably not do particularly well in high level tournament play but am able to consistently maintain a higher rank than Pete because I understand diplomacy and generally avoid acting on emotion.
The bot got a set on 3 at the start to fuck over Pete and he got one at the end to cap run. What you're describing is confirmation bias. You only notice the bot having sets on 3 and not the bot going to 4 or 5 cards. A set on 3 is over 30% so it's reasonable that it's happening often enough you'd get annoyed by it. It's not rigged though.
@@Risky_moverino you mean you're going to play a couple hundred games and write down every time the bot goes to 3 cards to see if they get a set or not?
A truly inspiring story from black, showing that anyone can pull defeat from the jaws of victory.
LOL
Love letting Twitch pick the cap. Amazed they didn't put you in a corner. You're lucky there were no options in Iceland!!
Of the two I watch (Pete and Kylted)
I like to think of Pete as the mature player.
Then I watch things like how he reacts to white 😅😂
I do think of myself as more mature than Kyle too
@@TheKillPeteStrategy it might be a result of Kyle's 'unique' vocabulary XD
18:58 - I love Pete's childlike enjoyment of these 'excuse to be evil' moments.
Greatest opening of all time period
love seeing Dandy Drew here. 21:14
Red going from triple split Russia directly to split Africa😂
If the reaction to the White Cap role wasn't so genuine id might think was pre recorded. But that reaction removes all doubt.
That plot armour was too strong
I've been watching you for years and I don't think I've ever seen a game that you deserved to lose more.
