Just replayed Control this summer, time to squeeze in one more Alan Wake playthrough next (and Quantum Break for good measure, that game rules). Can't wait, Remedy always hits.
@@librarygary1618 Yeah, it could have really used an FPS bump. It was just sort of abandoned. I honestly don't know why it's not as praised as their other games. The combat's some of their best and the story's quite good.
Same here. Games like this don't come around too often. I loved Spidey 2018 and I'm really looking forward to SM2, but for the most part we know what to expect from that game. With any Remedy game it's a rollercoaster from start to finish.
There will always be a Spider-Man game, but there is only one Alan Wake. No hate to Spidey, but it’s a big franchise game. Watching a relatively unknown cult classic IP like Alan Wake get this much praise is just mote magical
Alan Wake II will show us what happend, when the developers and the fans with all the passion and love bring back a videogame-franchise to life in 2023. With superb graphics, outstanding atmosphere and truely a deep emersive story that we will never forget!!!
When Huber mentioned "the clicker" I thought that was a reference to the clicker from the first game and I got so excited, but sounds like that's just what he referred to it as, lol. But yeah that looks like an interesting mechanic, I just wish it was "the clicker".
LOVE to hear that there's no handholding. Sorry, but I'm getting sick of all the spoon-feeding in mainstream games recently. I'm craving some proper "figure it out on your own" RE2make equivalent. Enough with the glowing breadcrumbs and NPCs telling you puzzle solutions.

However, seeing as most games are trash these days I'll catch the next gen version on a sale hopefully. I'm VERY intrigued by the fact that Control and Alan Wake are connected. Hard Sci-Fi meets horror? Yes, I'm in.

Shame they're not doing a physical release for this game. That's what I'm going to be holding out for. Just feels wrong to me to pay full AAA retail price for a digital copy of a game.
This looks so good but i probably can only really get one game with my restricted time so it's gonna be Spider-Man 2. I'll definitely get to this eventually tho
@@Ayoul I thought so to until Immortals, aka the game selling itself as the first UE5 game from a 3rd-party, didn't include it. That's why I want to know before I pre-order it. HDR would make a HUGE difference in a game like this and their silence on the matter doesn't bring confidence.
For Control, I really like the level design. Exploring offices and screts, backtracking were so fun. For some reason Alan Wake do not give me the same impression.
Seems like it has RE remake combat but jankier and much more linear exploration, while also having those mandatory "stand still/walk through the corridor while characters speak" moments to pad out the length. Lucky the one who will be able to run it because it seems pretty heavy in requirements, and I wouldn't be surprise it having technical issues at launch too.
I bet Max Payne IS part of it. They will put it officially in it when Max Payne Remake releases. Sam Lake is lying. Remedy would not agree to make a Max Payne Remake while they working on AW2, Control 2 and Control Coop SpinOff. Addiotionally Alex Cazey is literally Max Payne, with his voice, clothes and the books.
Max Payne is in the game "hint"... They just do not call him Max Payne due to license owned by Rockstar. But they have a character dressing like max payne and they are using original voice actor of Max payne for that character... so it is Max payne.. In their universe max payne was written by Alan wake :)

It sucks that Quantum Break is stuck at an unbearably sluggish 30fps on new Xbox consoles, I would love to play it.

Yeah this is also my most anticipated game. It's like the perfect blend of Twin Peaks + TLOU + Resident Evil + Control and I'm so ready for it.

Can you choose what character to play? Or do you have to play a certain section with a set character?
You can switch between characters at will from what I heard recently, progressing through each of their stories in whatever order you want
since the start they talked about Alan still being stuck in the Dark Place and Saga being in the "real world" of Bright Falls.
I couldn’t finish the first game because the over the shoulder view was on the left side and that just felt too weird.

The characters aren't badasses like Leon so makes sense for no parry but ya just for gameplay a parry would have been kinda cool

The enemies and fights don't look like fun at all. Didn't like the first part so I will skip this.
The enemies zipping around looks cool at first, but it also looks like it's going to be annoying to fight them pretty quick.
