  • Here we are, the next installment of the Sword Art Online game series.
    I will be honest, everything beyond the Gun Gale Online arc is new for me. And it’s exciting! Never thought the day would come were I would be this invested in SAO once more. And considering that the writer is very good at setting up interesting ideas, worlds and settings I was looking forward to tread new grounds in the series. but consider the track record of the show and games ruining most of its potential I was also very cautious. Still I saw a slow but steady increase of quality as I continued through the series so I had some hope that Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris continue that.

      @MsSaskue360 I am well aware of the new game coming, but as it has yet to be released this is still the last one in the series be it only temporarily ;P the plan is that when last recollection is released the title of the video will change~

    I am still waiting for a game that will actually feature US, the created protagonist player, be the star of the whole story and not Kirito in a "sword art" setting
    The setting is perfect for a story driven player character, especially if we start it again from the Aincrad arc where we fight alongside the original cast(Kirito and his group) but also have OUR own original cast of characters and romance(just like Fatal Bullet) I mean, make us a former member of Laughing Coffin for an added plot twist or something along the line and not follow the abrupt end where Kirito fought the last boss and let us instead finish the whole tower.
    And for additional unique skill set, if Kirito has the Dual Wield unique skill, give the player character the unique skill of Weapon Transform where we can use all kinds of weapons(something like what Gilgamesh did in Fate CCC or Momonga fight with Shalltear from Overlord) with its own unique skill tree of weapon arts.

      For real. I want a SAO game where I feel like I'm actually playing SAO. I mean, I totally understand that SAO is just kind of a 'parody' of basically every MMO ever, and I could just play an MMO. But, I don't know. I'd personally love a single player game, designed to look and feel like an MMO, within the SAO world.

    • @stvmegawat
      @stvmegawat ปีที่แล้ว

      Go play SAO Integral Factor. It’s a mobile game but it follows essentially what you’re asking for. You go through all 100 floors (sort of) of Aincrad. Sort of due to them skipping a good majority of floors but they focus on a good few at the start then start skipping.
      They introduce a new character as well named Koharu who is basically your characters love interest as you and her get married similar to Joe Kirito and Asuna did.
      The game story wise is okay. Not the best. But it’s okay. It kinda leans on a little gameverse stuff due to Leafa and Sinon being in Aincrad. But that’s forgivable.
      The main issue you might come across is the Gacha aspect for skills which are highly needed for you to feel strong in the game. But honestly that’s about it.

    So... what I'm picking up from this Review is. "It's super bland and kinda boring as an actual game, but...hey, the story and dating sim side of it is neat."
    I just wanna play a SAO game where I get to exist in the world of SAO, and play the game as if I were actually playing SAO. Is that too much to ask?

    • @GreiratEinzel
      @GreiratEinzel  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @txfnero to a degree more or less yes. the feeling of playing a SAO game were you exist in set world is there but not in the extend I, you and many others would like to see :/
      I would say the closest we get to that feeling is in Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization & Fatal Bullet. the later one is however not in a fantasy setting and Realization also has its issues. but if you havent check them out I recommend doing so. its not exactly what you seek but it comes closer to it than most SAO games.

    • @TXFDA

    The games on sale for $26.24 (deluxe edition) gotta ask should I get it? I'm a semi casual fan played a majority of the games, re hollow fragment, hollow realization, bagel bullet and enjoyed them. Just wanted to ask another's opinion since the game has very mixed reviews to say the least.
    Edit: For Context I own 99% of the Sao console games but I haven't really 100% most of them and I've only beaten around 2ish FB and Hollow Realization.

    Kind of unfortunate this video was made after Last Recollection was announced. But nonetheless I enjoyed the review. When it comes to my own opinions of the game, on paper it’s kind of what I wanted from an Aquria developed SAO game. In execution it left a lot to be desired and as a result it left me very disappointed. I can see bits and pieces of a good sao game in here. They’re just buried under a pile of jank and poorly executed ideas.

    hmmmm... I might revisit this game one day, I was turned off by the intro since I was thrown right into one of the anime's late story boss fights which the game seems to have used as a tutorial section and then got thrown again at an earlier time in the alicization arc, so it was a jarring experience, then I had just played Tales of Arise and Genshin at that point which had very fast and fluid combat systems, so the early game combat of this game just felt so sluggish and unresponsive in comparison, maybe it will change later in the game but I never got the chance to see because I dropped the game after around an hour....

  • @f.b.l.9813
    @f.b.l.9813 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    the only reason I play SAO games is because it's an Anime Action RPG with harem elements, so on that note, what games would you recommend that's an Action Anime RPG with harem elements? I haven't played much anime games, only Pokemon, Genshin, Tales of Arise and a few SAO games and so far only SAO games fit that niche....

  • @MinhLe19303
    @MinhLe19303 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I agree despite the SAO anime design, Lycoris and most SAO games in general actually adapt scenes and exposition more faithful to the LN, which the anime skiped and altered a lot, despite the alternate story. I believe example is another Alicization game in mobile, which retold the main canon story more similar to the LN. The original story in Lycoris isn't the best, as a lot of plot is rather dragging a lot without much meaningful interactions. The story surrounding Medina is rather poor and lack convincing, the new villain is kinda generic, a step down from original villains of past games.

    idk why they can't make a decent sao game. There are so many great open world rpg's, it's not a secret how to make one, they do have the money for it.

    • @GreiratEinzel
      @GreiratEinzel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly I wish they would not go the open world RPG route as that is a genre of quantity over quality. There for my preference goes to a more linear design. Thou to be fair I would already settle with a story that is not forced written with the Kirito perspective. We already saw in Fatal Bullet the big difference that made and how forcing the Kirito perspective ruins the fun.

      Depends on a few things, mostly what you want to get out of it. Game wise this is weaker than most other games in the series. But if you are fan of the anime and want a game closely following those events but slightly different/or want to see more of this particular world than Alicization offers what you seek. You could also opt to wait as a new installment is on its wait thou in this series a new installment doesnt necessarily mean a better or improved game. if you choose to buy I do recommend to buy it at a discount as it quite highly priced atm.
