Quite a lot of info here but I just want to correct some inaccurate/false/incomplete info.
1. You can't change the passives/actives that are attached to weapons or armor, they are tied to the weapon. The open slot on an armor is a slot for Incarnation which are items found from beating reborn clamp clusters or from grey chests that have enemies linked to them.
2. Skill connect was never executed in his video, when a skill connect is executed your character will flash yellow(Similar sprite to the blue flash at the end of sword skills, the blue flash is your window to execute another skill to connect them) and a counter(Once enough progression has been made) will appear in the center that indicates how far you are from Skill connect EX(A mechanic that works with Secret Skills).
3. Guard break was never successfully executed in the video. Guard Break can be done whenever an enemy glows blue and has a shield like object appearing on them. In many cases except a specific few exceptions guard breaking is beneficial as it interrupts the enemy if an attack is tied to the guard stance, even if not it raises enemy hazard gauge significantly.
I love how you held hands with Liena and Sinon stopped walking to look at you @15:12. I’m guessing she’s planning on telling Asuna that Kirito is cheating on her.
About number 18...bold of you to asume i have friends
Number 14 Character bonds: Those talk to your partner conversations actual increase affinity super fast and can get you the bedroom scenes super quickly. when choosing options the bottom right and left of the screen get filled in by a pink hue with hearts (left) and a yellowish hue with musical notes (right) when both these sides are maxed in increases their mood which gains you more affinity. the max i have had is 31 Affinity points from each conversation option when you get in close.
NOTE: forgot to mention that the conversation is a rhythm game and the heart beat at the top left will reward more affinity points when you pick an option while its at the biggest point
Still takes 1-2 hours unless u move to different spots
Thanks for the pro tips! When talking to allies to raise affinity, you can move closer for different dialogue options. You can get 30 affinity points for 1 dialogue option. It's faster than grinding finishers imo. I did this quick to customize tactics and I'm still in chapter 2.
This was very helpful, thank you! I recently started playing and was soon to discover that there are a lot of things they don't fully explain, as well as a slew of odd design choices. Some things, like no map locations for side-quests (where the monster is, or items you need to fetch) and missing icons for shops I can only guess are intentionally that way to make people explore the world. In any case, I'm enjoying the game so far and can't wait to dig in deeper.

I know this is super late but I discovered that when you're in combat mode (aka blades drawn) if you just sprint directly while not in combat the game will automatically put you in passive mode (blades not drawn, obv) without playing the sheathing animation, saves a bit of time when you're trying to get stuff done quickly, like Raid Dungeons for example.
One other tip ...Time of Day matters when turning in finished quest go to camp fires to change time of day to morning or noon to turn in quest to village NPC because some do not show up at night

For 14, try using the inputs when the heart in the top left is biggest, you'll get more affinity, and depending om what level his/her mood is (top right, increased with affinity), the better your options will be, just lean in closer with the right analog stick, once you get good at timing the 3rd level actions with the max heart size you can increase their affinity in no time.
I suggest to anyone playing any game like this, for the first hour just muck about with the controls. That's how I found everything although I missed generating elements which I didn't learn about until after chapter 1.
I don't think it was available to use in game till then.
But what do I know my dumb ass didn't know where the sword skills were till almost chapter 2 LOL
The only reason I got by with playing this game with minimal guides is because I've played the past two similar SAO games (HF and HR)
I can see how people could be confused because the menus are information overload.

Hi, how do you increase the affinity of normal people? There is this trophy:
"Neither a Test Player nor an NPC (Reach affinity rank 2 with 100 people)"
I noticed that speaking to us 3/4 times a green symbol appears on their head, but how do I know when it reaches level 2?
About 14 - bond affinity: move L Stick UP (Choose Approach) and your character will be near and new and better options to upgrade your affinity will appear. Sometimes +20, +27 or even +30 will pops up. You can bond your waifus very fast this way.
I try it but i just win 9 affinity points
@@s.bs.b5834 try, for example, Sinon with mood 4~5 near the Kirito's tend or near the fountain (north of the centoria). More mood = more affinity.

@@s.bs.b5834 try to approach even more. You can pat her head, aproach her, hug, poke her cheek and even more. Each character have a better place to do this, but near the Kirito's tend is a good place for all.

For skill connect, I am sure you can connect skills that are not in the order of lv1->2->3. I am just not sure whether you would lose some bonus if you don't connect skills in order.
Lretty sure certain skills are labled connect skills and finisher skills and as long as u don't use a finisher skill u can infinitely chain skills

Thanks for the video. I had several doubts:
1) I didn't know how to heal allies without using items.
2) I didn't know how to switch to the 3rd character manually.
3) I didn't know how to parry. The description on Xbox One said push LS, which didn't work for me.
4) You mentioned have a back-up save but when I go to one of those pillars and save it doesn't show me the file so... Are the auto-save and the manual save the same file? Thanks!
Can someone clear info regarding wayfarers, going into fields and inviting them to party also makes them available later for affinity? The 100 people trophy, i currently have 39(the heros included)
tip 11.(pc controls) how did you go into that slow motion screen where you can tell your allies how to attack? not the screen where you can tell them "never miss a chain opportunity" the one where you could actually tell them who to attack and an ability?

I see your frames dipping quite a few times. Anti cheat is causing alot of issues so if you can live without it disable it. If you select your option in the affinity gauge during heart to hear, do it while the beating heart is the largest. It gives you slightly more points.
im on pc and when i go to the heart special locations i have clicked every single button but i cannot start hear to heart minigame I'm in chapter 2-2 do i need to keep going till it unlocks or something
Does anyone know how to increase character traits in order to obtain the prize armor? I have Asuna's affinity at 100% and mood at level 5 but here traits arnt at 100 and I need those to get the armor! Any help is appreciated!
you probably figured it out by now but going into those conversations at point 14 is the way to do it. its very boring but there are 5 bedrooms scenes per character to keep you occupied while you do it. the quickest way to do it is don't go close and continually pick the first three options. affinity points don't matter so you can just pick the same option when the heart is at its biggest.
Aka Hollow Realization 2.0 on the highest dose of meth possible. Almost everything here is from that game except for a few new twist which is good. I'm still in Centoria and haven't learned magic yet. Anyway very good and informative review, especially about manually switching out characters on the field.
Please do a video showing the statues to unlock skill trees.( Like berserk or wessarath)

An issue with number 9 - Unstoppable (Chests):
Whenever a mob aggro'd me, I was unable to interact with the chest as I was being targeted by an enemy. Even a prompt appears in the middle of the screen notifying me so.

The point is to get it before you get aggro.
@@Omnibus4Everyone Can you elaborate how to do this? When I ran straight to the chest without fighting, the enemies quickly aggroed
Use the dark element sacred art as it will make u harder to spot by a couple seconds

I have a good question. Can you take a passive skill from another weapon and does it still work if you use another weapon? You can equip them with a different weapon but I don’t know if they work.
They work with other weapons.

on step 12 at 11:57. How do you go from hazard state to down so fast? I normally have to launch, fatalize and then down in order to get to that point

It states it quite clearly in a tutorial that the more powerful incarnations are "temporary".

Honestly I didn't know how to access sword skills till twards end of chapter 1... Was using sonic leap and vertical for the longest time... Idk how I missed it but the game was so boring and then I finally decided to look up "when do you unlock sword skills" thinking it was a progress thing.... Then I saw you just zoom out... I literally yelled at myself and shut the game off for awhile lol
Hey brother not being negative or anything but u have to have weapon proficiency at 500 to unlock some abilities and lvls of certain abilities IV been farming these lvl 45 salamanders in the desert really weak against Pierce best way to farm proficiency IV found.
@JustWoos well I started doing this at lvl 35 I'm now lvl 40 I gained two lvls when I liked the lvl 50 beast salamander thing this cinder bow is pretty awsome golden apple 40% more xp for 2 minutes
@JustWoos the golden apple is attached to the cinder bow as a combat u equip it and lasts two minutes to get the cinder bow you kill the lvl 50 beast on lower left side of map in deusoldort desert

@@Hoiru-san is from the starting area you go to the cook area and ask the npc to craft for you after she craft 4 times you get recepie and you can now craft it (appel chesse pie) is waht you looking formax hp 10% and affinity with women 30%

Sooo I tried playing online and I ran into some higher lvl people. Now i can continue thee story where I left off. It jumped me straight to the last boss. Anyone else had this problem?
they said something about that in the patch notes. and noted that people either shouldn't let the game auto-save you there. or if it does start from the chapter select save which is honestly bull. means you probably lost alot of progress

③ Choosing online multiplayer will change the progress of the main quest.
- When the host of the party is further into the main quest than other party members, the party member(s) has a chance for the progress of their main quest to change.
If the progress of the main quest shown in your game is further than it was previously, please do not save the game and restart your application.
*Moving to another area will save the game, thus we do not recommend doing this if the progress of your main quest has changed after playing online multiplayer.
*Please note that if you happen to save the game, you will have to load from the chapter save data.
*Temporary solution: Please only play the online multiplayer mode after completing the main game or please wait for the release of the patch planned for late July.
should be fixed in this coming patch. You can only join with the same progress or lower.

So I think they patched the chest one there’s like a barrier on the chest and requires you to clear the area first
Varies by chest, some are sealed by a nearby powerful monster and some aren't, but have powerful monsters nearby them to discourage you.
Is this game worth it? The last few sao games did not seem all that great. I bought fatal bullet since it was on sale

After delving into the questing system for online. Found that ALL missions give both players experience; not just your own.
But if your friend does not have the quest you're currently working on accepted or has already completed, then they cannot help you kill or see the monsters you're fighting for said quest. My friend was smart though, and uses Silica a lot so he would just have her healing me or do it himself.

Chapter 1 is season 3 sao and chapters 2 onwards is an original storyline if u want there's a manga out that u can read based around this new story

Oh great😒, Another SAO game where you customize Kirito, instead of making your own character. Not worth it, and before you guys say anything, no it's not the same as making your own character. Kirito is a unique character and hero of the story, so customizing him is so dam stupid.
