Yeah for sure And not just because you don’t just do a simple shoulder mount when you get one of these but also because of the way it’s colored and the white is mostly at the rear end of the deer you wouldn’t be able to tale with a shoulder mount or probably even a half body mount that it’s a pie bald..
Last year my kids had a 30% piebald fork buck in their sights four different times on different days. Passed on him hoping he would grow up. We last saw it in late doe season so it survived gun season. We have been out many times this year. Did not see him once. It would have made a great trophy, but still glad we passed on him.
This is flat out amazing....What kind of club you just joined. How many people have ever shot a mature piebald, let alone self filmed it! Congratulations doesn't even come close to covering it. Honored to have watched this.
This was an awesome hunt. Congratulation. I shot a 140+ piebald last year, thinking bad luck. Not at all. Shot a nice bruiser this year too. Great video!!!
Good stuff, just yesterday I shot an old 8 point at 32 yards, called my buddy to help me before I even went to check the buck out just to givem time. I told my buddy he seemed a little different but wasnt sure and we went over to em and he told me, "Dude you got a piebald!" I was excited but at the moment I had never even heard of one or let alone seen one before, we showed it to a fee more buddies I couldnt believe there reaction lol it's real damn cool, some of these guys have been huntin for 40 plus years and have never seen one in the woods. It's the first deer im gettin mounted, the rest of em I've killed over the years have just gotten euro mounts, but I figured this fella deserved it for sure. Very different then this guy, mine has a wide black stripe down the middle of his face and a white stripe on either side of it that goes from his snout, up and around his eyes, and white patches all around his shoulders. Very cool buck, my buddy said hes atleast 6 to 7 years old based off the grey around his eyes, his teeth all wore down to the gums, and his rack bein a touch small for his body size. Definitely a hunt I'll remember, I actually was hunting a micro plot 20 yards from my house on about 1 acre of land. Spent some of the summer finding the ideal spot and shootin lanes, cleared it got the plot goin and built a littler blind from 2 pallets I spray painted and a folding chair lol. Brushed it in against a hillside and just kept track of movement there until it was time. Craziest part about it too is i had over 2000 pictures of deer on that spot and probably 7 or 8 different bucks that had been hittin it, but the mornin i got him was the first time seein him. I had zero pictures of him and he just happened to walk in.
That is as prett a buck Ive ever seen.I dont know if I could kill it or just film it..Hopefully he bred a few does before his death to pass on those cool genetics..He is a Hoss.. A Monster. Congrats my friend..Happy For You.
I'm right there with you brother, I would've taken the chance regardless what kinda luck I'd have and if it's true, look at what brought it to you, he is an absolute beast!! Congratulations and stay safe!!
Really great buck.Sometimes it just takes a little calling to get there attention.calling works for me a lot in the right conditions for Bucks and Doe's. Nice job stopping him at the right time.
Back in the 1970's I shot one similar in Mississippi, looked like a pinto horse. He was bedded down when first saw him and thought he was a feed bag till he stood up. Game Warden came out to look at him because he was so different.
Congratulations on a old monarch of a buck. That’s what people told me and my dad. He killed a old 6 point piebald and I killed what I thought was a albino doe it turned out to be a spike. We haven’t had any bad luck and we both have killed mountable bucks sense then. So don’t believe the hype.
Huge fine in okla. If u kill one not sure why anyone would want to take one of these rare deer... I've been archery hunting for 30 years and I would have to let him walk
It’s not like it’s gonna live forever,, deer have short lives anyway…. It’s real manly of you leaving a comment trying too make someone feel bad about something there super excited about genius
I've been lucky enough to kill 2 piebald 4 years apart 200 yards apart! I thought the first one was a big goat at first then I realized what it was and shot! Second one I spooked and shot it jumping a ditch 30 yds away. Have both full tanned hides with the head attached like a bear rug. Beautiful buck in my home state! 🇺🇸🦌
Pie bald coloration is due to a recessive gene that weakens the heard and they are prone to a host of birth defects including blindness, deformation and short lifespans. Its not an albino which is actually a pure genetic trait.
I think Albino & Pibald Deer should be illegal to take in EVERY State. I know me or anyone I hunt with wouldn't take one, I'd just be grateful I got to see such a rare & beautiful Deer in person. And it's Definitely a thing that some say it's bad luck to take an Albino & a Piebald, NOT just Albino. Native Americans would never take one of these Deer, they saw them as what they are, Special. And passing on a Deer for them meant you & your Family might go hungry, and now all you'd be out is a Mount & a Video to show off. Not quite the same is it...
That is for sure a FULL MOUNT BROTHER. Great buck and BAD ASS
Yeah for sure
And not just because you don’t just do a simple shoulder mount when you get one of these but also because of the way it’s colored and the white is mostly at the rear end of the deer you wouldn’t be able to tale with a shoulder mount or probably even a half body mount that it’s a pie bald..
I would except a little bad luck curse for that deer. Once in a lifetime buck
You mean 5 lifetimes
Maybe don’t go off murdering rare animals, like, why can’t you leave the rare ones alone
@@carpenterthehivewing if God blessed him with a once in a lifetime chance then I'm gonna take it

@_ NEGAN _ LOL good one. Perhaps I overshot that one a little. Still, it is a rarity.
It's called pay per buck.
Wow! What a Beauty! I am in Maryland and just got a big 8. And I have MANY pibalds on my cameras! Maryland is full of these pibalds!
Maybe you can bring some over to Michigan! 😂

Awesome buck and shot! Congrats bud!!
Congratulations!!! Awesome deer and amazing shot!!!
I'm not big on watching bowhunting videos but I liked this. New subscriber now..
Phillip did an awesome job self filming! Thanks for the support.
Piebald deer are protected in Oklahoma. That is a beautiful animal.
They shouldn't be. They're a recessive gene animal and weaken the heard.

Congrats Phillip
That's awesome congratulations
Nice buck congrats , never heard that about piebald only albinos.
And there is melanistic as well. In Pa seen 2. They are dark gray in color. It’s pigmentation and genetics I assume

Amazing, congratulations on your work brother. 👏 👍
I hope that big boi done some breeding. 🙏
A piebald deer is about a 1 in 59 genetic mutation in deer however that ratio isn’t set in stone so it could be more or less rare
Good shot 🦌🦌
Gorgeous

Do justice,full mount,congrats
I am confused...I am suffering from deja viu (sp.) as I have seen this hunt on TH-cam but had another downloader...
Man does the area where you guys hunt just have a lot of piebald or did you just get lucky?
Piebald is a fur mutation not a genetic or type
@@Oak_Ridge-Outdoors ooooh
Congratulations Phillip on a rare a beautiful pieabald buck! A dream buck for sure, great character on the antlers too! What he score?
Thank you Joseph! I'm not sure, never even put a tape on him
Might would of been a good idea to let it spread those germs around little more. Imagine a whole herd of pieds walking around!!
It was kind of funny when his tongue was sticking out
Just seeing it would have been enough for me. I would not have shot that deer. Let's let god decide if it was right or wrong!
Very cool vid 👍

I know someone who killed a Piebald Buck. Within a year his trailer burned down and he was divorced

Do you hunt your pecan orchards? How do you attract deer to them?
What broad heads are you driving them with
How in the world does he kill that in Maryland

Awesome Buck, no Doubt I would have shot it! They say it's Bad Luck to kill a Albino. 👍🦌
Please
Nice buck I hope I can kill one one day I only killed a spike with one antler
Lol I just shot my first deer last week a doe
You put a crater in his belly
Nice hunt, but personally if you get the chance at seeing a piballed anything I’d just leave it for the next person to see, it’s a rare thing to kill

Poor deer(buck)🦌😇😢
I think you should work on your grunting 😂😂

im pretty sure its if you shoot a Albino its bad luck
I felt a little bad for the deer though
he was a bronze tho
U really wrong u can’t shot hunters with piedblad so state law I will show warden game or wildlife u going jail prison

Nothing bad luck about it ..... its only bad luck to shoot anything albino only
I don’t understand how a piebald would be a curse isn’t it super rare?
I'd be laughing if you got bad luck!
