I've been using for 3 months. Big initial hair shedding that can be intimidating but now seeing the results in new growth. My hair line is proceeding rather than receding!
I have been using topical minoxidil 5% in liquid form once a day for almost a year. I am a menopausal woman and noticed my hair appearing thinner in my late 40s. I didn’t have any bald spots but the baby hair area above my temples showed scalp. I didn’t notice any significant shedding when I started. I first noticed about three months in my temples looked fuller. My hair feels thicker now and my hairdresser has noticed. My terminal hair length is also two inches longer now (long hair is part of my identity). I apply enough to cover my full scalp every night with a dropper and massage it in. My hair doesn’t feel greasy in the morning, and after a few days it feels similar to having dry shampoo in my hair. I have had slight scalp flaking, but not enough to be noticeable to anyone else, but I think if I washed my hair more than once a week I wouldn’t even have it since it’s only toward the end of the week that I notice it. It’s actually very inexpensive online at Costco. I’m happy with my results and will continue to use it.
My husband took oral minoxidil, it caused him to have serious heart issues in 6 months of taking it. He stopped taking it and luckily he didn’t have long term damage. After going to the doctors and learning more about it, it can cause heart failure. So I would never advise taking it through a company like Hims or whatever but managed and taken under the care of a doctor. The reason my husband didn’t go through topical route is because it can be extremely deadly for your pets and especially cats. So if your cat likes to get on your pillows or in your bed, it can get on them and then they can lick themselves. So just do your research on that and be very careful with your kitties ❤️
@@ambergerhelper7852 agreed! I’m not saying people shouldn’t take it, but because of the risk to the heart, it should definitely be managed through a doctor. Best thing I ever did! My hair is coming back all over and I am truly grateful! More people need to talk about this! Thanks Dr. Dray for all you do!
I used topical for 4 years with phenomenal results. Now, I've been on pill form from my Dr. for 6 months and seen further growth. Not one negative side effect, just hair regrowth. My problem, along with what Dr. Dray said, was that as my hair grew thicker I found it more difficult to get it on scalp. Also, taking systemically ensures I get even amounts all over. I also couldn't use topical 2x daily as it made my hair very greasy, so I couldn't use it in the morning prior to work. I've used this, along with Finasteride, for 4 years plus, and literally only side effects have been increased self-confidence that has come with getting my hair back. Truly has been life changing. Thank you, Dr. Dray for this as using your skincare advice as well has taken 10 years or more off my look, according to most. I'm a 38-year-old male, and I don't understand why one wouldn't want to look younger longer and the boost in esteem that comes with that. Not for everyone, as she says, but I'm so grateful for this and what is "naturally" out there.
I'm at the end of my third month on oral minoxidil 1.25mg with no side effects other than new hair growth on my scalp. No shedding. I was originally using topical minoxidil with great results however I was tired of having hair that always felt oily.
@@jed19111955 I know this is going to sound crazy, but my point of reference was I didn't want to be able to see my ear anymore when looking at the side of my head when my hair was down. And I can't. I would say it took a good year before I noticed anything but my hair and nails have always grown slowly, even with minoxidil and finasteride.
I am thrilled with the results of taking the oral minoxidil pills. I tried the topical minoxidil and it never seem to do much for me. I’ve been using the pills for about a year now and my hair is growing so well. I have not had any bad results from taking the pills other than a little bit of peach fuzz on my face which I shave off a couple times a week.
I have fine thin blonde hair but lots of it. Once a week, I use Moroccanoil Clarifying Shampoo & condition the ends. So much volume without stripping highlights.
Excellent information. Thank you! I've been on oral Mixodil (2.5 mg) for about 3 years now. I can't say I've noticed a massive difference in my hair, yet I honestly do believe it is helping me KEEP my hair. I've had thin hair my entire life, and nothing really has shown extreme improvement. However, I do believe that oral minoxidil, along with HRT, is a good combination to combat hair thinning and loss, as we naturally decline in estrogen. Thank you for this segment.
A good scalp massage not only helps with the blood flow of the whole area but it is also relaxing 😊❤. It alleviates and helps to let the stress of the day go away (at least for the duration of the massage 😅).
Dr. Dray! Been waiting on an oral minoxidil video, this couldn't have come at a better time. I recently started it in combination with LLLT and Dutasteride, hoping to yield some great results in the coming months. You Da Goat!
The topical stuff worked really well for me EXCEPT it made my head so itchy I looked like I had fleas! I didn't know there was a pill version of it. Definitely going to ask for a prescription..thank you!
Hi Dr. Dray - thanks for all your videos, including this one! You have so many videos out there I thought I would just ask the question - do you address Finasteride off label for women for hair grow growth? I know it’s approved for men. However, I have heard that some doctors do prescribe it for women.
I've been taking oral minoxidil for 7 months. For me it started working immediately. Hair on my head is going strong. However, I had lazer hair removal on my legs and the hair has grown back. Along with the facial hair growth. I have to wax every 3 wks. For me it's worth it.
I use 5% liquid topical 2 x a day. I find it easy and actually almost acts as a styling aid for me. It’s been 11 months. It hasn’t worked as well as I would have liked, but it has helped with some regrowth and stopped any new loss. My bald spot started when I was in my late 30s and I didn’t start minoxidil until 59 so I wasn’t expecting miracles. Overall I’m pleased with the incremental gains and will continue.
Oral Minoxidil always carried the risk of heart failure and it's not dose-dependent. Always a risky play, but I understand that low dose oral minoxidil is safe for most people.
Every prescription is a risk:benefit assessment. Every drug has side-effects and toxicities - acetaminophen can cause fatal liver damage if it's misused. Careful risk assessment is required when starting any medicine. That's why many of them are only available with a prescription.
@@sweet_ume3902 Yea, for YOUR HUSBAND, but this has been used and effective for the majority of ppl. Medications and medicine whether prescription or OTC affects everyone differently. Which is why going through your physician is recommended for anything you take bc you also might have underlying issues.
More people went to ER in 2018, I believe, from Vitamin C overdose than Steroid related side effects. Let that sink in. No, obviously not saying steroids should be taken without the care of a physician. Rather, EVERYTHING carries risks. Each INDIVIDUAL must, with their Dr, weigh those risks with the benefits they're hoping to achieve. For me, this has been life changing and constantly getting blood monitored and always great across the board. Not for all, but the benefits are certainly worth the risks for me. Just my two cents and am not trying to start any debate or arguments.
Dr. I tried topical Mionxidil many years back, but I developed contact dermatitis. My dermatologist said I couldn't use the topical, so I continued 1% Finasteride and had, over time, a very good response. Two years back I began taking oral Minoxidil, and over time, I have improved hair growth. I use a half 2.5 mg pill, and I don't have fluid retention. I had slight fluid retention with 2.5 mg. I don't seem to have any side effects with 1.5 mg. Minoxidil. I do take 15 mg Prednisone every other day, so this interferes with Finasteride and Minoxidil, and I take both at a time of the day when the Prednisone has reduced in my system.........this works for me.
Happy Thursday, Dr. Dray ❤ thanks for your video ❤ I’ve done both. Oral minox for 6 months and def helped w shedding and new growth. Admin topical too, it is hard to stick w it like you say AND it does build up and cause for me, scalp irritation.
I took oral minoxidil for a month and despite taking spironolactone, my swelling due to existing condition lipedema got aggravated, I gained not 1 or 2 but 15 lbs in a month. Then I talked to my dermat again and switched back to topical minoxidil. That one month of oral minoxidil however made my hair look so thick and dense, next few weeks i saw thick hair growth though 😂 on my arms and it got ok subsequently after i left oral minoxidil
@@jodyfro1312 within a month of taking oral minoxidil, I noticed super thick hair growth near my forehead, cheeks, jawline and eyebrows, arms and legs, it was so pronounced that everyone in my family pointed that out. Once I stopped, it took a while to notice Normal growth again.
@@kellyvendrasco1945 the hair growth on body is alarming with oral minoxidil. Am someone who is ok with body hair growth but for me as well, it was shocking. The hair on my arms were super thick and like standing at 90 degrees 😂. I was like, hell no ,I don't want this
I have used Rogaine for women off and on for years. I just started using it again along with the IRestore device. Keeping my fingers crossed. It is annoying. It makes my hair stiff and crunchy. I use the once daily kind at night and dampen my hair in the morning and re-blowdry the crown of my hair. But yes a pain to keep it up.
Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!
I wish those were more easily accessible where I live. Microdosing was my next step for my husband. He's 59 & dealing with lots of mental health challenges, possible CTE & a TBI that put him in a coma for 8 days. Unfortunately, I had to get a TPO since he's 6'6, over 300 pounds, and showing violent behavior, constantly talking about harming others. He's aggressive. To anyone reading this, if you're familiar with BPD, is it common to have an obsession with violence?
This is a great video! For my hair loss, I started with topical 5% Minoxidil, then graduated to topical 7% Minoxidil/Finasteride drops. Topical Minoxidil/finasteride made my scalp itchy and flaky and my hair sticky, so I began taking Nutrafol, oral finasteride and oral Minoxidil. Hair growth and thickness and hair density have improved greatly. However, I increased my oral Minoxidil dosage from 2.5 mg to 5 mg. The 5 mg dose made me very nauseated, and I experienced a pounding heart beat, so I stopped taking it for about a month. Now I'm back on the 2.5 mg, hoping I don't experience the same side effects. Not sure what you think about Nutrafol. Any thoughts? Thanks!
After Covid pneumonia in 2020, I suffered from telogen effluvium for 7 long months! Thank goodness I started with a thick head of hair. Dermatologist said I lost 40%. Hair thinning the most in the front so started using Minoxidil spray 2x day. Initial hair loss freaked me out but being diligent, it came back with additional hair within 3 months. Luckily, I don't have to go to work so the spray making the hair wet isn't an issue.
For androgenic alopecia, I’ve been to multiple doctors, had many tests. I’m in excellent health. I have used the iRestore cap consistently x2 years, take Dutesteride, oral Minoxidil, Nutrafol, topical compound my dermatologist makes containing minoxidil, latanoprost & something else I can’t remember. All bloodwork is normal. I started HRT after menopause, but hair loss started before. I am not under a lot of stress & my diet is excellent. My hair is getting thinner & part wider. However, I have grown a lot of facial hair & arm hair. What am I missing?
I have been taking oral minoxidil since August and it’s been awesome! I have also been taking 100mg of spironolactone in the a.m to decrease the dht on the scalp. I haven’t noticed any issues, but do you think it is safe to continue to do this?
I use spironolactone bid 100mg...taken it for years worked great..then after a decade I started having more hairloss...this was after being on ozempic for 1yr. I lost half my hair. My dermatologist said he has recently had alot of patients telling him they were losing their hair on ozempic and tirzepitide...told me either I wanna lose weigjt...or do u want to keep ur hair? I take it for diabetes...only lost 20lbs in a yr...bit lost half my hair. I stopped ozempic..im on .25mg of minoxidil now...and I'm using the spironolactone along with the 2% foam in my thinned areas..i now have alot of new hair...some of it is 3 or 4 in long...im so happy n excited...my insurance covers both meds..i pay $1.80 per month...soooo worth it very Little shedding now in my brush....thought my curly hair is straiter and frizzy but this can also be from my hypothyroidism. .so i would say ask ur doc. I've had great results
I found your comment very interesting. My daughter has PCOS. She takes 100 mg of Sprironolactone per day and 5% Rogaine (with the dropper) twice a day. I notice her hair has gotten thinner in some areas. I take Ozempic, just for weight loss, and have lost only 3 lbs in a year, yet my hair has gotten thinner. Good to know the Ozempic causes hair loss.
spiro works well for hair loss, but losing a lot of weight can cause excessive hair shedding..oral or topical minox can help get the hair back into the growing phase so the shedding stops
Started oral minoxydil (through Alloy's online prescription service) just a week or two ago. As you would expect, it's much too soon for me to have noticed any effects or side effects. I also ordered the Irestore Pro laser helmet, but I haven't yet received it. Previously, I used the HairMax Laser Headband, but I wanted an upgrade.
Topical was too messy and greasy for me, I didn't stick to it for that reason. I am currently taking spironolactone and finesteride and seeing results but I intend to ask for minoxidil by mouth at my next visit.
I didn't know it it toxic to pets! Why Regaine/Rogaine's manufacturer doesn't let us know?? One more reason to quit. I've been using this product for 8 years. Helped a bit to regrow my thinning hair. I was terrified what happens if I stop using it. Now I had enough and trying to come off, using the last bottle less and less frequently. I haven't noticed any changes so far.
I’ve been on oral for a year. I had sepsis and almost all my hair fell out. I have hair growing EVERYWHERE now. I’m also have high blood pressure so I take two a day. Also I’m on dialysis and it’s ok!
Most private insurance in Canada covers Loniten (minoxidil) 2.5mg. 90 pills for around 15$. A study by Antonella Tosti shows that dose between 2.5-5mg was beneficial for men. Yay. Used to get oral minoxidil compounded but was much more expensive and not covered under policy.
I took it for 2 months, but it grew hair all over my face and body. I’m a female, and it’s not a good look. What do you suggest to deal with all that body and facial hair?
Its not bad. I was even losing eyebrow hair and that has grown back just like when i was young so it’s good if you have overplucked your brows, but otherwise you will have to groom them a bit more. I definitely have more arm hair stubble but i just shave it anyways.
Yes I have but the results for me are so fantastic that I just did micro blading! I probably am the only one who really sees them. Around my upper lip and chin. I’m naturally dark headed. Another dermatologist suggested just taking it 5-6 times a week. I’m doing this now. I’m in my third year. Just be aware that the shedding can be very frightening. My dermatologist warned me otherwise I would have stopped. Good luck!
@@jaa9228 I have not had any body hair growth at all. A few extra facial hairs that are easily plucked which are not bothersome at all. For reference I am taking 1.25mg for 3 months and the new hair growth on scalp is pretty amazing.
I took oral minoxidil for a few days and hat to stop. I deal with dry eyes and oral minoxidil made my eyes worse. I have taken topical minoxidil for several years, and it doesn’t make my eyes worse, but it does make my scalp itchy.
Has anyone tried this after chemotherapy? I'm still losing hairs in larger amount after chemotherapy and using cold caps. I managed to keep about 50% of my hair because of the caps. Luckily I had thick hair so I had plenty of wiggle room. But now 4 months after I was done with chemo and I am still losing full strands of hair in larger amounts than normal. My eyelashes and eyebrows also waited until two months after I was done with chemo to finally all fall out. It is taking my eyelashes forever to grow back and I would really like for my hair to maybe come in slightly faster than it's coming out or at least halt this extra hair loss. Will these pills help me possibly?
I’ve been taking oral minoxidil for a year. It works great for me . I take a very small dose . I tried topical. It’s too messy for me to use every day. I have long hair and it made it look greasy .It took 3 months to stop shedding and see a difference.
Currently using topical minoxidil foam and it's such a faff. Most of it ends up on my hair and fingers rather than my scalp. I would much rather take a tablet!
Buy an oil scalp applicator. Warm up the foam in the cup of the container (just put the container in another bigger container with hot water) and than put it in the applicator. Be quick though, as the liquid foam slowly transforms back into its foam form.
I used Minoxidil for over a year 5% once a day. Then it started irritating my scalp. If you stop using it, the hair shedding cycle just doesn’t stop. It’s scary! Getting ready to try finesteride orally.
I just started a quarter of 2.5 mg. I suddenly got a spot on my scalp by my forehead that looks like scalp psoriasis and my scalp itches at the nape of my neck. I wonder if it's connected? I've been using the topical 5% foam for about the last 9 years.
I used the foam faithfully for about 8 months. I only experienced shedding - no growth. I wanted to keep trying but I was afraid it would just take all my hair out.
I have used (here in Brazil) both forms for my alopecia aerata and ended up sticking with the topical one because of the overall hair growth stimulation of the pills over the rest of the body, spetially because I have gone trought laser shaving. For women its a pretty anoing side effect, in my opinion.
This is great information… But keep in mind that anyone with high blood pressure or any cardiovascular disease not to take oral minoxidil. In addition, any patient with pheochromoctyomam renal failure, any history of cardiac disease (ie atrial fibrillation, heart attack ,or heart failure) should not take oral minoxidil.
Hi ❤ dr is it necessary to get bruising after microneedling for acne scars? Bcz i got bruises on forhead although i have scars on my cheeks but i got no bruising there, I'm concerned as if procedure is not done properly
I'm interested in oral minoxidil because applying topical foam twice a day is a chore. However, as a woman, I'm not willing to risk hair growing all over my face. I can't do it.
Taking oral minoxidil may not cause excessive hair growth on your face. Not everyone experiences that side effect. I've been on it for months and I have not experienced this. Only more hair and longer hair on my scalp. Hope this helps.
I’ve developed permanent heart and blood pressure issues since taking it, however I had around three other potential causes to it, that could have contributed to it. Using topical now
I been losing hair since 13 and covid made it worse cuase of stress and now its just falling out more and more I have a 2 bald spot on my hair line, I been looking for something to helo but I heard minoxidil make you shed for some time before it works 😔
a while back, i hit a point where i felt like everything was out of my control. i kept wondering why other people seemed to get what they wanted while i was stuck in the same place. then i came across this book called Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane. i wasn’t expecting much, but the way it explains the connection between your energy and the life you create? it blew my mind. it’s not just a book, it’s like a blueprint for turning your life around.
@DrDrayzday - question, do you find that “fixing” your scalp health is helpful? - quick backstory, my entire life I struggled with flaky scalp and even prescribed shampoo only helped for a couple days at the time. Having curly hair means 1) I can’t wash every day, 2) I MUST leave in some kind of product in it. I found this brand that had scalp in mind, and uses no coconut oil which is super common in curly hair products, and I have to say it has done wonders for my scalp, in conjunction with Nizoral and my own prescription shampoo. I’m hoping this will be helpful for my to regrow some hair, as I really don’t want to take oral minoxidil (I’m already a hairy body person and don’t need that kind of grief!) Also, is The Ordinary hair density drops helpful?
Do you still get the increased shedding phase if you have already been using topical for a few months? Seems you shouldn't but I wanted to double check since I'm soon seeing my doctor and wanted to discuss switching to oral. I've got 2 dogs that are my heart and I wouldn't want to cause them any issues.
My exact worry - 8 months on 5% rogaine dead shed was long but I understood this only meant the product was working and new hairs will come in once the old fall. I’d say I noticed a big difference after 4 months. My hair was growing fast and the new hairs seem stronger and thicker. I’ve been pleased with the results. I am worried if I add the oral pill I’ll have to deal with another major shed which I’m not prepared to deal with especially after all the effort in the last 8 months
I might check Dr Dray's videos on fuller eyebrows as well as her video on the ordinary product for them from the past year. There are some lash serums without prostaglandin that can help with eye lashes. She also has a video from a couple years ago on why she doesn't recommend minoxidil for brow growth.
A lot of people are non-responders. They simply don't have the enzyme to make it work. Applying Tretinoin before Minoxidi can help with it apparently, but I've no personal experience.
Have used topical minoxidil and it's def awful as it makes my already thin hair difficult to style and look good. And, mine was only prescribed for once a day uh oh

The topical stuff worked really well for me EXCEPT it made my head so itchy I looked like I had fleas!
I didn't know there was a pill version of it. Definitely going to ask for a prescription..thank you!
Since it’s a vasodilator, would it be advised against for those with rosacea
Happy Thursday Dr Dray so excited to be here i live for this❤️
Morning!
In 6 months it gave my husband heart palpitations
@PeterH-be1xe Oral Minoxidil has a black box label on it. It's potentially deadly regardless of use. These are just the facts.
Happy Thursday, Dr. Dray❤
Dray ❤ thanks for your video ❤
I’ve done both.
I was wondering if I would end up a fur face if I take the oral. I’ve spent too much on electrolysis for that noise.
What strength were you on?
I would love to take Oral minoxidil for my Androgenetic Alopecia but have been on Spironolactone for my Hirsutism. 😓
I was like, hell no ,I don't want this
A very informative video! Thank you! ❤️
thanks for watching

Thanks!
Oral Minoxidil is a life saver. My cousin also started around 4 months ago and she started seeing a difference in 3 months.
Hi Dr Dray please can you review MSM topically applied on scalp for hair regrowth. ❤
Happy Thursday Dr Dray…see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Good morning Dr Dray ❤
Happy Thursday!
Hi Dr Dray, can you please do a video on grey reversing supplements? And ppd carrying hair dyes and contact dermatitis it can cause? Cheers
I have age related thinning of the hair. 59. Nothing major but I miss my full hair. Would oral minoxidil help to thicken it up?
Started oral minoxydil (through Alloy's online prescription service) just a week or two ago. As you would expect, it's much too soon for me to have noticed any effects or side effects. I also ordered the Irestore Pro laser helmet, but I haven't yet received it. Previously, I used the HairMax Laser Headband, but I wanted an upgrade.
You will love it! I notice a big difference
My hair is thicker too
I just started this! I’ve done the topical for years. 💙
What made you switch from topical to oral
@@manthanmehta-q6g I was just tired of doing the application and luckily I have health insurance and it’s cheaper than buying the topical 😊
which brand?
Did you get the shedding ?
Can this be taken with spironolactone if I already have lower BP?
I’m not willing to deal with constant shaving.
For the women that have taken it: have you noticed any body/facial hair growth? How bad was it?
I been using the topical but it’s been causing facial hair 😭😭how do i prevent that ?
I took oral minoxidil for a few days and hat to stop. I deal with dry eyes and oral minoxidil made my eyes worse. I have taken topical minoxidil for several years, and it doesn’t make my eyes worse, but it does make my scalp itchy.
Very helpful thank you!
which one do you recommend? my endocrinologist wouldn’t prescribe me it ☹️
Has anyone tried this after chemotherapy?
Would this help with regrowth from Trichotillomania?
Hi Dr.Dray,
If you are a non responder to topical minoxidil because of daily aspirin use, would taking oral minoxidil likely be the same?
Currently using topical minoxidil foam and it's such a faff. Most of it ends up on my hair and fingers rather than my scalp. I would much rather take a tablet!
Consider applying it with an eye shadow or foundation brush so you can really get it on the scalp and it thankfully won't get on your face. 👍
Buy an oil scalp applicator. Warm up the foam in the cup of the container (just put the container in another bigger container with hot water) and than put it in the applicator. Be quick though, as the liquid foam slowly transforms back into its foam form.
Is there a lot of shedding in that phase? I already don't have much hair and I'm super scared of the initial shedding process
Second comment❤
Happy Thursday dr Dray.
Is rosemary really works for hair?
see my video going into detail on the limitations of the study that people use when they talk about RO
Hi Dr. Could you please do a video on DNA repair enzymes? I feel like I should buy them, but can't really afford them, thanks so much! Cristina
I saw 2 study s Minoxidil orally could probably affects your collagen level in the skin negatively. What do you think about this subject?
Interested!
Will your hair start to immediately fall out when you stop it?
Dr Dray, could you please make a video about skincare while pregnant. What active ingredients can still be used? Thanks.
i have several videos on pregnancy skincare in a playlist
Will oral minoxidil help with androgenetic alopecia if you've had it for years??
I tried oral minoxidil I took it before bed like suggested and I woke up to my eyes super swollen. It scared me.
can I take oral minoxidil and topical for my beard?
I used the foam faithfully for about 8 months. I only experienced shedding - no growth. I wanted to keep trying but I was afraid it would just take all my hair out.
I have used (here in Brazil) both forms for my alopecia aerata and ended up sticking with the topical one because of the overall hair growth stimulation of the pills over the rest of the body, spetially because I have gone trought laser shaving. For women its a pretty anoing side effect, in my opinion.
Thanks Dr Dray, I just started
thanks for watching
This is great information… But keep in mind that anyone with high blood pressure or any cardiovascular disease not to take oral minoxidil. In addition, any patient with pheochromoctyomam renal failure, any history of cardiac disease (ie atrial fibrillation, heart attack ,or heart failure) should not take oral minoxidil.
I take oral minoxidil with no side effects. My dermatologist wants me to use the foam while taking oral. Does that make sense?
Hi ❤ dr is it necessary to get bruising after microneedling for acne scars? Bcz i got bruises on forhead although i have scars on my cheeks but i got no bruising there, I'm concerned as if procedure is not done properly
I'm interested in oral minoxidil because applying topical foam twice a day is a chore. However, as a woman, I'm not willing to risk hair growing all over my face. I can't do it.
Right. Nothing is worth that.
foam did not work for me neither. but liquid form works just grate, especially by Galderma.
also Nioxin serum with caffeine really works
Taking oral minoxidil may not cause excessive hair growth on your face. Not everyone experiences that side effect. I've been on it for months and I have not experienced this. Only more hair and longer hair on my scalp. Hope this helps.
I've heard of folks who do experience hair growth but they just opt to shave it.
@@jujubeeens It does, thank you. I really would prefer a pill over the foam, I was just so worried about excessive hair growth everywhere.
I’ve developed permanent heart and blood pressure issues since taking it, however I had around three other potential causes to it, that could have contributed to it. Using topical now
Will oral minoxidil cause other body hair thicker tho?
I been losing hair since 13 and covid made it worse cuase of stress and now its just falling out more and more I have a 2 bald spot on my hair line, I been looking for something to helo but I heard minoxidil make you shed for some time before it works 😔
Gave me heart palpitations when I tried it a long time ago. I wonder if it’s changed now to stop that side effect?
Is it true it causes weight gain?
I use saw palmetto supplements and biotin ❤
Can hair growth serum cause acne?
I've been using this for 6 months on my eyebrows but it's not helping to grow them 😢
Have a great Thursday!
You too!!
If youre doing topical Minoxidil and switch to oral will you restart as in will i have a shedding phase again?
Dr Dray, when you wear hair laser helmet, do you find LED lights too strong for sensitive eyes?
Some folks wear goggles when using LED.
a while back, i hit a point where i felt like everything was out of my control. i kept wondering why other people seemed to get what they wanted while i was stuck in the same place. then i came across this book called Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane. i wasn’t expecting much, but the way it explains the connection between your energy and the life you create? it blew my mind. it’s not just a book, it’s like a blueprint for turning your life around.
If you switch from topical to oral or vice versa, do you lose the progress you’ve already made?
@@EasyKiwi111 I too had this concern. However, when I switched from topical 5% to oral 1.25mg 3 months agoI did not experience any shedding.
I’m hoping this will be helpful for my to regrow some hair, as I really don’t want to take oral minoxidil (I’m already a hairy body person and don’t need that kind of grief!)
Also, is The Ordinary hair density drops helpful?
Dr Dray has a review on the ordinary product. Also, if you do a search like, dr dray scalp health, you'll find videos.
Nioxin serum really works
I've seen Dr. Jenny Liu talk about that especially when she was dealing with post-partum hair loss.
I take oral minoxidil and am loving my results.
My hair is falling, seeing Dr. Next week. Did you find yourself growing hair somewhere on your body?
Does oral minoxidil help with eyelash and eye brow growth?
I might check Dr Dray's videos on fuller eyebrows as well as her video on the ordinary product for them from the past year. There are some lash serums without prostaglandin that can help with eye lashes. She also has a video from a couple years ago on why she doesn't recommend minoxidil for brow growth.
I've just switched from topical to oral minoxidil with my derm, am I expected to see shedding again?
@@SwobodnyYT I haven't experienced any shedding since switching 3 months ago
I did not respond to Minoxidil topical and my dermatologist had me try it in liquid form. That did not work either.
Still sick...imagine this works wll with the Omnilux! 💜💜💜
