And as we all know, Mark's surname, 'Lamarr' is French. It's actually a combination of two words. 'La', meaning 'the', and 'Marr' meaning 'fifties' - 'the fifties'.
This isn't true, "The Fifties" in French is les années cinquante. There is no Marr in French. It could be from Marron (brown) or maybe Mar short for Mardi (Tuesday) but in French all days are masculine and La would infer feminine. I was thinking maybe a reference to Marr (Johnny) who is sightly older and whilst it's not impossible that Marks parents were somehow influenced by the 2 year old Johnny at the time to honour the toddler, it seems unlikely. Never mind the fact that Mark is really Mark Jones and Johnny is really Johnny Maher. However as we are talking stage names, it's possible the two met or became acquainted in later years and discussed this at length. We'll probably never know. Anyway I just wanted to prove you wrong because I enjoy doing that in the most straightforward and pedantic way possible. As your humiliation is complete I suggest you don't reply and I think everyone would probably appreciate you taking the time to just think about what you did.
Mark showed how to keep his own character amongst two who would try to knock him off his perch. Love Vic n Bob but love Mark for staying true all the way through. A real comedian who knows his own worth.

God i love this show so much!!!! mark's humour is absolutely timeless, i could watch his work forever
If only they recorded this on film. HD shooting stars would be on Netflix for sure
I think the studio recordings were much higher quality. In the 4:3 era, the output would be reduced to 576i/p for transmission and VHS/DVD production.
I gave up on Netflix ages ago. Don't regret it.
