I salute the people of Ukraine as I listen to different versions of the Ukrainian national anthem very day. It is very beautiful as was your land before this most cruel & inhumane invasion reduced it to rubble. It is my fervent wish & prayer that your land will be beautiful again when peace prevails. Your President is such an example of true courage & statesmanship leading his brave citizens whose wish is to live with democracy & in peace.

I am not sure if any of you watched, or are even a fan of Babylon 5, but I am. What is occurring in Ukraine reminded me of a scene from Babylon 5 when the Narn planet surrendered to the Centauri and G'kar the Narn ambassador was removed from the council now that his planet was under Centauri control. Ambassador G'Kar said these words, "No dictator, no invader, can hold an imprisoned population by the force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power, governments, and tyrants, and armies can not stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free." (G'Kar, The Long, Twilight Struggle) And from the point of Ukraine, we can replace "Centauri" with "Putin/Russian government".
