Wow! I didn't think my comment would get into a video. Well since you put me into the Video, I feel obligated to mention my progress. I've finally beaten Uber Maven and Uber Sirus, and reached 38/40! Uber Exarch is still too much for me for now. Again, thank you for this series of videos! This is the best build I've ever played!
I went immediately back to the computer to get the two jewels- 29 div total. Will be farming Delve and Essences tomorrow😂 to get all that back for rest of build. Thanks for the tip! LOVING this build. Just a casual old lady gamer that doesn’t want to be POE expert but loves the game. And this is the easiest build I have ever done. Thanks for all your work Ziggy! Hi to Amie and the bairn (she is beyond adorable).
What will farming essence do for you i farmed 2-6 1-2c essences per map that’s like 5 div in 300 maps profit I don’t understand why anyone thinks essences are good.
@@gr33d72 how are you confused? I explained it you can go on maxroll and follow essence guide the entire league and youll see they arent worth anything
@@AzSa5z1nyou weren’t spec’d in properly on the tree if that’s the case. And you weren’t using remnant of corruption on MEDS essences. I would encourage you to look into it and try again, I made over 10div with 2 very casual days of farming, maybe 8 hours total play time.
Ziggy, you were the first content creator that i've checked when i got hooked to PoE back on BETA time if i'm not mistaken and you've since been one of the most enjoyable to watch! What a master class of a build! I'm pretty sure that's more in sintony of what PoE 2 will fell like! Great build, Great content, awesome video. Thanks!!
I especially love that your guide came in 3 weeks in after two of my builds weren't excelling quite as much as I wanted and were like "here's this super easy build to start for extremely cheap in this league where currency is plentiful but i'm not going to assume you found much", I'm not a beginner by any standard as I try to pob my own builds and have 4000 hours, but in SSF I still haven't gotten all four of my voidstones and am farming up to be able to kill uber elder and maven on single invitations. It's very appreciated to have stuff that takes so much time to explain synergies and ways to enhance gameplay. Thanks a ton ZiggyD, and great interview with Jonathan too.
This build is fantastic and im glad I chose to give it a go. Im around the 10div budget area and it feels really nice in general play, T16 and normal bosses feel really nice.
I havent played in almost a year, and FINALLY I SEE A GREAT CREATOR BUILD AN UNLEASH ARC TRICKSTER!!! I did one myself a while back with Unleash Arc + Galvantic Field and it was quite nasty, especially for Delve. It is just really nice to see someone finally make an improved version of something similar I had done in the past. This + FrostBlades are my fav.
Thanks for sharing the build. I started playing this league in trade once I saw your first video and have been playing better with this build than any other build I've played before, and I'm really enjoying it. I made the ring, but haven't invested in any more major upgrades, I need to cap spell suppression, but I don't die that often, and I don't really know what my goal is right now. I've been playing with harvest, which is kind of the opposite of the recommended content for the build, as well as speccing the atlas tree for Maven witnessing and map drops from bosses for guardians/elderslayers/synthesized maps/invitations. I took on Maven for the first time with the build and the only time I was in danger was the memory game, and I missed the first callout because I didn't realize it was happening in the last phase. I took out all the shaper and elder guardians deathless and elder deathless too (but I've been able to do that since about 3.4 or 3.5), and died only once on Shaper because I accidentally triggered a void pool beneath Zana's safe space for the bullet hell phase. I know I'll want to play this again, but I'm wary of trying to start with it in a new league because of the potential for the wildwood specializations to go away, and the need for gear to get all resists being really limited. I want to try how this feels without unleash and arc of surging, just arc, to see how it clears in general because in theory it should still be good enough for most parts of the game.
Very much enjoyed this series from you. It's cool to see the build actually go through multiple stages in real time and actually go through a reasonably affordable one at that - unlike how a lot of builds are stated as affordable, but use undervalued and rare uniques that skyrocket in price the moment the video comes out because there's not enough supply for the new demand.
I've been using this build since you first put out the video, farming Ultimatum with it. With enough investment (arround 120 div for what i found) it can do T16 Ultimatum easily even with the rippier mods other than "cannot evade monsters attack" and oneshot the trialmaster when i see him, skipping his 2 timestop phases instantly. Pretty insane and good feeling too during ultimatum since the mechanic itself force a more mobile/less attack spammy playstyle, the seals have time to accumulate during movement, cleaning all the monsters in 1 hit when needed. Honestly one of my favorite non-dot build, i cant thank you enough for putting that one out there ZiggyD!
Ya i want to thank you. Picked up this build and having the upgrade path really helped me unlock simple div farming. Love the fast moving speed, dont know if i can go back to walking slow.
I love the idea of 3 tiers of builds. I've played off and on for a long time, but I feel like I've not learned how to go from the 10 div version of a build to a high budget version. Presenting the differences between 10 & 100+ div versions is just what I'm looking for.
Thanks for the content ZiggyD! I tried SSF version based on you and Jungroan's video, it feels great! I agree with you, it's not good for big pack clear, but really good for boss rush and legion
I love arc and this inspired me to make a second character for the first time ever in a league and its been awesome. I agree that the brands really feel bad sometimes when it just saps your mana but most of the time I don't even need it. Easily farming shaper fragments and shaper so I can try unlock that hideout
thanks for this build of yours sir, I followed it and I was able to progress so much. I made few builds before this, and all of them are stuck at lvl 80-83 because they died so much on a lot of types of maps, losing so much exp that they are not able to level up, I almost think of quitting POE HAHA... But now using this build, I was able to reach lvl 90 and able to clear T16 maps (not that juiced yet though) xD ( POE newbie here )
Hi @ZiggyDGaming, This build is very cool and I enjoy much journey from 1div to 10div+ version. The balance between offence and defence is great in all version which allow very pleasurable progression. Combining this with delve/essence guide + creating alva temple allow me to put ~25 div into build (without solding old parts of the gear). For me It will took a long to hit that ~100div version (which price would probably explode), but it will be nice adventure. Thanks a lot for sharing this and breaking into affortable budgets with guide how to earn that. P.S. I still remember your Lighting Strike build from times when there was no Dominus in POE :) Good to see you again. Hope you will smile during reading this comment. Have a nice day.
From the patch notes: "Fixed a bug where the split beams from Arc of Surging could target the same enemy." Does that eliminate the boss-killing power of this build? Also: "The Ralakesh's Impatience Unique Boots no longer provide 30% increased Movement Speed."
i played so much last league because I had such a good leaguestart in frostblades and its infinite scalability. Things didnt work out this league but maybe i give this a shot? This seems perfect for what I love in a build - scalability. Charms seem almost as cool as tattoos
Jung! Thanks for the inspiration on the build, I stole your tree and concept when I initially started with it 😄. Flasks all have charge on crit and while it's not perfect uptime it seems to get the job done. Tbh I don't rely on them too much in boss fights, nothing crucial is on them really. Helps that we kill bosses so quickly too. Only time it really became an issue for me was Exarch ball phase, which need better flask management or they bonk hard. And thanks for the heads up on the projectile spell thing, I fixed it for the PoB link. New numbers for phys max hit at 27,300 (45k/57k/47k for ele). So not quite as crazy growth from 10d to uncapped as I thought haha still a solid improvement, esp on phys.
For those interested look at Jungs setup on his channel for a flask sustain option - I opted to not go for it and got damage from the legion jewel instead to offset not going assassin. And I really wanted to run Gravens belt for the damage and the insane recoup (instead of the micro-distillery). th-cam.com/video/inaiWCE8AGw/w-d-xo.html
Yeah, I was throwing all my DIV into kinetic bolt and got tired of dying alot. Switched to this on your 1 plus -DIV budget and bam I am like this is so much smoother and way tankier.
Just use penance brand of Diss. It's a minimum of 3x dmg increase. Which is permanent, not situational like AoSurging. No waiting for chains, And it's AoE. Which means unlike AoSurging it won't waste a 40million hit a on a white mob w/ 2k hp. Which then leads to waiting for arc-chains, and then maybe hydrosphere needs recast. Honestly AoS is too janky for me.
@@charlespanache7047 actually i am near 100% the same build with ZiggyD and i really enjoyed the awakened unleash and lvl 21 arc power spike. Will try penance brand whenever I want to try another since I am still fairly new to the game.
I am running this still on about 3 divines and a excuse my french "FUCKING FOURLINK" and just blasting through most of the content the game throws at me without much issue. Thank you so much Ziggy :)
Pretty much every caster skill I had my eye on at the start of the league has turned out great this league. Penance Brand of Dissipation, Cold Snap of Power and this, though I haven't played with this. I've seen some fun stuff with the new Frost Blink that I haven't actually played with either. I've only played enough to get my Penance Brand build to a few Div and just got the currency yesterday to play with the cold snap build I want to try now that it's clear Penance got nerfed for mapping and buffed for bossing. I might even put enough hours in to do some ubers for the first time since Shaper and Elder were new. Gotta do what I can in this feast of a league before the inevitable famine follow up league. Which means this is probably my last league before PoE2. I think the only thing that could pull me back to PoE1 for another league is major QoL improvements like auto-pickup of currency straight to stash (at least half the clicks in the game), keeping the Affliction league ascendancies or merging the best parts of each into a single general ascendancy, or a campaign skip.
Really loved playing a slightly modified version of it , although i pivoted into penance brand with it around level 98 because arc isnt a "gloves skill" as shaper gloves have bad support for arc , faster casting doesnt boost unleash damage so best case scenario is +3.5% crit and 70-90% crit multi while penance gets good damage from faster casting , can use the veiled prefix +2 AoE and can even use duration and aoe corruption +2 . So it was just impossible for arc to compete with a possible +6 penance with one more support gem. And I am adamant on keeping the empty chest , I have some more upgrades to go through since I just switched but i'm sitting at 8500 ES with 25% phys taken as chaos and taste of hate and running call of the void for further tanking as penance easily 30% chill anything with it pinnacles included (will see if it chills at 30% ubers too once i'm level 99 , I'm at 50% xp dont want to risk it rn , level 99 I can get lethe shade without losing much ) and i'm running ultimatum a lot because loot when you do any mod with all specced is pretty nice in ssf and brands are just mechanically better for ultimatum : drop 7 brands (took +2 matery solely for ultimatum will regret that mastery for ubers to grab lethe shade) and while I know 5300 ES is still tanky on this build its affliction league I want to play with oath we wont have it next league , can probably reach 10K ES if I craft some more. all in all thanks for giving me the idea of trying it on trickster its been a blast
Im trying to make in my head similiar build or you gave me some idea - its hierophant with acranist arc brand or storm brand - ralakesh, Maiven belt on power charges and doryani prototype body armor CI version with aurora//a bit manastack for CI // may be guardian ascendancy - add armor equal to reserved mana and gain es from reserved mana + may be 2 split personality on ES and mana(have to be cheap - 35-38 point each) ,1 expensive ventor with - lightning res etc. In theory its should work great if somehow to do max block(glancing blow is optional). Brotherhood amulet so we will run also max frenzy which is good for brands(cast speed, not only damage)
Correct me if im wrong but 3:59 in the video forward. you talk about ghost reaver and you getting 1600 shield recharge along with the leech... but the reaver says, energy shield no longer recharges... making that stat completely void right?... meaning you only leech energy shield with this now.
@ZiggyD did u consider implementing Deodre's scorn into the build ? I think it might be the nice idea (200+ ES if corrupted can give +1 power charge +4 to all curses gems in total) - might give crazy dmg if u hit 8+ cursed enemy ?
I love this build, feels so good. Sure we have the brand build, but the arc surge have a larger chanse to stay for next league. Pennance brand got ZERO chanse to stay as it is now. For maps im using just 2x Oblitiration.
4:00 huh isn't ghost reaver mainly to be used if you using ATTACK damage leech ? if you are using spells which in this case you are (arc) then grabbing light eater was more than enough leech for the ES
Looks very interesting, I wonder if I could make this work on a witch, be it life or ES based... Will think about it. Definitly a cool shell, thanks for sharing
Could you tell me what are the cosmetics you are wearing> I'm doing this build and having a good time, but I'm new to the game and don't really know hot fo find the skins and stuff haha
Any tips for aiming the hydrosphere? I'm liking the build and the concept but i struggle killing bosses (even 1 wisp empowered map bosses) because my arc keeps targeting them or some random minion instead of the hydrosphere
Can I ask a noob question? Why not go assassin since we are charge stacking. I didn't want to deviate from the build since it was working so well but it seemed to have a bunch of juicy options. Also maybe it would be cheaper for trickster forbidden flame set up?
Assassin's a lot of damage but you lose a ton of survivability and comfort. If you go assassin get a leech or recharge trickster forbidden jewel set. Jungroan played it as an assassin if you wanted to compare.
About 20 Divs in with your build, never felt so comfy, never went that far with the game (killed my first exarch!) for casual poe players like me this was/is the best build so far. Sooo tanky, you can play relaxed, talk with people listen to some podcasts. Clear might be not what you can do on TS but you tough as nails and can just stand and take hits. you do all t16 maps apart from ele reflect (or you could with eg. swapped charm).
Would you think this concept would work with Snipe and Split Arrow of Splitting? I know it wouldnt be as smooth but im curious if the splits could do a big shotgun
Now invest couple hundred Divines more. :p Mageblood and some other items will go long way. This unique belt is great, but not necessary for the build. How is it for mapping? It loses to Penance Brand in damage and QoL, but clear is superb, right? Or this arc doesn't clear well?
Arc is for one shorting bosses but it does things like essences and boss rushing very well. It's not good for whisp juicing in t16 delirium maps for example. Mageblood is always an upgrade but gravens is very very good!
Cant you bypass the whole unleash and hydrosphere dynamic by using something that lets you target minions and using dark marionette spectres? That would bypass the 1 second cooldown and awkward gameplay. I could swear there was some item or jewel that lets you target minions to damage them, but cant recall what it was for the life of me.
I do know Jungroan's video is about a month old, And i can't find anybody prior to him. Idk why he decided to upload a jank build that excels at nothing WEEKS after the community figured that out, (look at how people are using this skill).
Mageblood is probably still an upgrade when you gear around it but graven's is really very good so it's not as big an upgrade as it is for most builds.
Hydrosphere and arc of surging gameplay is a little higher physical skill complexity than other builds like penance brand but I think the upsides and power easily outweigh that issue and I've had a lot of newer players run it this league to great success.
Trust me PoE always has more things to challenge you. Deep delve, tier 17 valdos maps, high end crafting, and working on new builds and goals. And it's a decent challenge and accomplishment to get to the point of insta killing ubers, even this isn't fully at that point yet (even if it's getting close).
Yes, but i'd strongly suggest against it. Arc of Surging is purely a single target skill and i mean SINGLE. no adds, etc I swapped from surging to another skill, bc simply put Arc of Surging excels at nothing. The clear is absolutely awful. Group play? Forget about that since the auto-targeting of Arc means most of your hits wont even go toward the hydrosphere. Bossing? Sure, but Minotaur kept spawning Golems, which my arc of surging would hit and basically made the fight last 5-10x longer than "normal". Imo if you have the "skill" for Arc of Surging+monitoring and keeping Hydrosphere up, you more than have the skill to play a better skill. Sure the burst damage is nice, but that's literally the only thing going for this build. For reference I swapped from AoSurging to PBoD and it tripled my Dps ( triple single target, AND i can have the same dps up on 2 other targets) cut my invitation farming to about 20sec an invite. For Arc, depending on what the bosses summoned could go from 30sec, to 4minutes. Not to mention if they have Energy shield you must CONSTANTLY focus them or they regen. IMO it's a good skill, but easily out-classed by better skills. Also if you dont understand how to "abuse" hydrosphere ( which the entire build revolves around) it's honestly an F-tier skill.

So it was just impossible for arc to compete with a possible +6 penance with one more support gem. And I am adamant on keeping the empty chest , I have some more upgrades to go through since I just switched but i'm sitting at 8500 ES with 25% phys taken as chaos and taste of hate and running call of the void for further tanking as penance easily 30% chill anything with it pinnacles included (will see if it chills at 30% ubers too once i'm level 99 , I'm at 50% xp dont want to risk it rn , level 99 I can get lethe shade without losing much )
and i'm running ultimatum a lot because loot when you do any mod with all specced is pretty nice in ssf and brands are just mechanically better for ultimatum : drop 7 brands (took +2 matery solely for ultimatum will regret that mastery for ubers to grab lethe shade)
and while I know 5300 ES is still tanky on this build its affliction league I want to play with oath we wont have it next league , can probably reach 10K ES if I craft some more.
all in all thanks for giving me the idea of trying it on trickster its been a blast
Oath with empty chest is very juicy, nice modified version! I know a few others who have pivoted to penance with good results.
Hey Ziggy thanks for the awesome guide on this build. I had a question, how do you have the raise spectre auto cast?
If you can deal with the smaller AoE, I recommend using Bane of Condemnation to get rid of the curse effect debuff the regular Bane has.
Awesome Work...👍 I don't Like the hydrosphere aiming...but that's my Problem.
Might try out have coule mirrors to spare.
Might try this next league
Also my perfect marionettes keep dying so i have to reuse wrath constantly
How do i meet stats requirements for gems such as Punishment or Grace, i'm trying this build in 3.25 Kalgur's League.
That build looks really nice, sadly i bought a mageblood to transition in a cool build. Is there any use of it in your build?
Gravens is really good but mageblood is *always* an upgrade so go for it! It sell it and pay for the whole build! Haha
Can you provide a leveling guide for this build? It will helps new player to try this build, thanks :)
1 div video has the leveling advice in its pob if I recall. I used leveling unique set for this one (CI / crit leveling)
Would you think this concept would work with Snipe and Split Arrow of Splitting? I know it wouldnt be as smooth but im curious if the splits could do a big shotgun
Have to test if it works with hydrosphere the same way before you get too excited.
What perplexes me the most here is how do I set this up on SSF.
You can "bootstrap" it with just ralakesh boots. If you find a pair of them then go for it! But like always with ssf you play what you can find.
When I saw that 50! I was like.... wait a minute, hold up. factorial?!
3.24.0 - Build Dead
Fixed a bug where the split beams from Arc of Surging could target the same enemy.
was this inspired from jung?
I do know Jungroan's video is about a month old, And i can't find anybody prior to him. Idk why he decided to upload a jank build that excels at nothing WEEKS after the community figured that out, (look at how people are using this skill).
the bane of condemnation doesn't have the reduced curse effect on it which is nice
Yeah it's suggested in the notes but it does have a tiny AoE so hard to aim and not good for packs. Good for ubers.
Bane of Condemnation doesn't have the less curse effect modifier ;)
Does this still work in 3.24 without the afliction stuff?
Is losing Graven Secret for a MB a deal breaker with the absorption charges? Or can it still work?
Mageblood is probably still an upgrade when you gear around it but graven's is really very good so it's not as big an upgrade as it is for most builds.
Hi,noob question do we cast bane and other curse gems manually?
Bane applies all linked cursed so you only need to cast that!
Would you say this build is too difficult for a new player? I mean as how it plays compared to other classes and archetypes?
Hydrosphere and arc of surging gameplay is a little higher physical skill complexity than other builds like penance brand but I think the upsides and power easily outweigh that issue and I've had a lot of newer players run it this league to great success.
With so much power charges, would slotting in a mageblood be an actual downgrade to dps due to losing the alternate charges?
Not quite a downgrade but gravens is so good that it's not the mega upgrade it usually is.
You'd lose +1 max power charges which is a pretty big dps drop
How did u craft the ring?
can you clear with a normal chaining arc, with perhaps a chest swap with other gem types?
You certainly could I didn't find it necessary and for speed clearing weaker content 20/20 Vaal arc of surging was best of both worlds
what is the specter that ziggyd is useing?
Dark Marionettes for wrath with guardians blessing
"I feed off your feedback." - Oh no, feedback loop incoming xD
Can i use MB on this belt?
Ruthless variant pob? Please XD
once you oneshot everything. what is the challenge in the game?
Trust me PoE always has more things to challenge you. Deep delve, tier 17 valdos maps, high end crafting, and working on new builds and goals. And it's a decent challenge and accomplishment to get to the point of insta killing ubers, even this isn't fully at that point yet (even if it's getting close).
GJ
How come your wrath isnt active all the time?
It's on guardians blessing and activated when needed
Challenge: do a slayer version.
Is it viable for the next league if no nerfs?
I'm curious too as I planned this build for this New season.
is the build still viable in 3.25?
I didn’t know that skill shotguns
How good is this build for Delve?
Decent for regular delving, will fall off hard in deep delve (800+ depth) as those need high sustained DPS when mobs start getting billions of health
is this 3.25 viable?
Still viable in 3.24?
I played this and felt like cheating. Now I'm playing a melee char and is pure pain.
Aaaaaaaaand they're 70div each. Double mageblood price yeah no.
1000 d next ?
@ZiggyDGaming I think TH-cam has spam filtered my comment, would appreciate if you could unblock it :)
I couldn't see it in the approval que on my end sorry
Console player cannot target hydrosphere , so sadd😂
😭 pretty rough
Is this leaguestart viable?
