we just need a bf3/4 with bf1 gritty atmosphere and we are all happy. thats all we want genuinely. we dont want cringey women soldiers with robotic arms. we want authentic soldiers that we see in the real world.
it aint hard to make a game that we want but we all know why they arent allowed to make the game that we envision.
all you gotta do is watch bf3 gameplay to realise all the little details that we miss. those little details add up to the whole experience.
And then you’ll be bored of that game and be complaint after a couple of weeks or months.
The problems with BF2042 are not because they have women in the game, it’s arguably the maps primarily.
@@jonathanmarkham1998 No way. If they make a proper "next gen" Battlefield game that is very similar to BF3 & BF4, the gritty atmosphere, sound design, ect. How would you get bored? The main problem with 2042 wasn't just the maps, it was mainly its core design. Specialists.

@@TheBrokenMachine my main concerns are map designs (with 2042 post launch they proved they can do a good maps but not all of them have a good flow) and infantry vs vehicle balance. I dont wanna be stomped by vehicles.
I would recommend see it when the game releases do not get fooled by this youtubers hyping and glazing this remember 2042.

I would love to, but this will separate a lot of players especially players in poor 3rd world countries (let's just say SEA), it ends up with matchmaking taking forever and all of the community servers play only base maps.

I’m 26 now and having played since the launch of 2042 , for me it’s vital that they go back to the roots… I used to get home from secondary school and love playing bf3 and bf4 and bf1 was also really great, here’s hoping it’s good

Honestly anyone who says that they're hyped for the next Battlefield is either delusional or an industry plant. NO PREORDERS, don't listen to Tom Henderson, etc. Keep in mind if you're on console you can only play for 2 hours before you lose the ability to get a refund, and that includes early access playtime.

Concept art certainly reminds me of the atmosphere we saw in Battlefield 1, the grittyness of it all. With that art style in mind and a modern setting! I think this could be a return to Battlefield basics!
I really hope it will be a very serious, heavy, dark and masculine game this time, kind of like bf1.
I have nothing against female characters (bf1 also has them) but you know what I mean.
By being taken seriously, I mean a grounded military shooter. I have no problem with female characters in almost any other genre.

Besides the setting and the reduced playercount to 64 they NEED dedicated servers and a "rent a server program" as well

I pre-ordered 2042 and swore to myself to never ever do it again. Hopefully they`ll safe the franchise. Would be a shame otherwise.

Firestorm was the only br I actually enjoyed playing. BF is quite capable of bringing greatness again. Also, not bringing back cheesy specialist is a great move imo

A lot of content creators also said 2042 was good after it's beta. Remember to wait at least a week after release to see if it's gonna be a good game

I cant wait! The team back together. Broken, Stod, Westie and Jack. Sprinkle in some Tactical brit and its on! BF was my main but waned after BF5. Played 2042 because I was hopeful, but my hopes are high for this.

I think they definitely need a solid multiplayer first and foremost. However, I would like to see a return of Firestorm, maybe a Firestorm 2.0? I am super hungry for a proper next gen Battlefield game similar to BF3 & BF4. Delta Force is coming and that will probably hold me over for the time being. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it's difficult not to.
*Actions speak louder than works* EA DICE can make a game sound pretty, which so far it sounds just about what we want, but that's where they get ya. We need to keep our expectations at bay and wait for when the proper reveal happens next year and we see gameplay!
I would love a mode where there is a firestorm in one side of the city, eating houses and forrests.. bringing players closer together or dividing the map and making/forcing new flank routes and so on. In the water, in the ground in the trench etc.. ❤ i have my hopes high, because life without hope is...hopeless 😊
BF4 I was able to carry around c4 as a sniper. Able to take out people at range with the sniper rifle, my secondary weapon used for close combat, and c4 for vehicles. I want that back. One man army essentially.

Our family loved playing BF4 together, all great maps Golmud Railway, Zavod311 especially. Hopefully we can earn rifle attachments and do missions to build up our soldiers. The only thing that was out of sink was the helicopters and jets... they were too easy to fly in tight spaces, thru buildings etc. also too invinceable to damage... railing on a helicopter rotor at close range? Its going down! 🤔🤔🤔

I've played nearly every bf from day one. How come nobody remembers the greatness of bf2 lol. I'm all for bf3/4/1/2 combined. Some of the best ideas that werent fully realized yet in 3/4 were in 2.
Its actually kinda scary hearing the developer who was the main guy behind todays Arcade FPS games is saying out loud what the Battlefield Community has been shouting from the rooftops since BF3/BF4. He said that the peak was the BC2 - BF4 stretch.
And thats practically gospel to the BF Community.

The article didn’t say anything about bf1, dice is embarrassed it can’t recreate bf1, the next battlefield will be disappointing if that’s the case. Bf1 is the needle that pointed in the right direction on the compass not 4 and 5 battlefield. Hope I’m wrong

Cross platform please. Playing on xbox in New Zealand with really only Australian servers. Player base can diminish pretty quickly.
All sounds great. Good out of the gate is the key sentence for me. A strong launch is crucial for any game. A poor first impression can be detrimental. If 2042 had been released in its current state, things would have turned out differently. It's much better than most people realize. While it may not have appealed to everyone, it wouldn’t have become the meme it did.
It's all about mechanics for me, I don't care what the year is, I don't care what the weapons are, I don't care where it's set, the mechanics between BF1 and BF5 were similar but different enough for a lot of people to love BF1 and hate BF5, if it doesn't feel good to play, forget modern day, nobody cares. I agree on the need for Operations, it feels like you're actually fighting for something, it needs balancing though, you're either on the team taking the map with ease or you're on the team getting dominated or it's a stalemate, but then that's often because players stick together and leave the sides of the map empty, some military tactics tutorials during loading would make a massive difference.

Modern era of course is great. No operators baloney is good. I want it to play mostly like Bf1. That's been my fav besides bf3 and bf4. The atmosphere in bf1 has been unmatched tho! We need a working game at launch with no bugs/issues to start with. Way more maps and better map design. A battle Royale could be great if done right! And yes they need to add a story mode/operations campaigns! Also, definitely expand upon Portal mode! And for the love of God, please Dice, add proper destruction back! BR is not gonna survive if the core isn't amazing. They need to focus on that first and foremost. Before Warzone was released, MW2019 was the biggest revolution in the Call of Duty status quo in its history. Brand-new engine, controls, shooting mechanics and so much more. That's what propelled the BR forward. The core was solid. They need to release BF6 as best as it can be, not worry about BR at all, and after the reception is as it should be, then they can build atop it.
