great video! just make sure to change the recording options in the camera settings next time, so that its in 1080p 60 in 16:9. You can even bump up the bitrate and remove meta's pesky auto stabilisation which essentially just crops the image.
Its an extremely good product for the price , with the new chipset games can render high enough to look about twice as sharp as they were looking on Quest 2

The 3s looks good but for another £40-£50 I might get a refurbished Meta Quest 3 with obviously the better lenses and resolution. Great review though mate. 👍
Based of the review I’m gonna say yes. Because the 3 allows you to see the room in full color to better avoid hitting things. Plus, the bulky controller with the ring around gets in the way.
for me if you have a quest 2 and all the games you play work fine on it then I wouldn't get this the bump in power is great but without the improved screens whats the point?
you assume that every game is rendered at the hardware resolution , but thats far from the truth , I believe there isnt a single game on Quest 2 that actually is rendered in its resolution , because the chipset it too weak , basically playing 480p games on a 1080p screen because otherwise the fps would be unplayable the Quest 3/3S has a way way stronger chipset , it can render it in full hardware resolution which makes games looks MUCH better , like I'd say about double as sharp and clear (if the game is optimized for Quest 3 , which sadly some arent) that is also the reason why Quest 2 looks better on PC than standalone , because PC can render the full resolution of the hardware

It's great for watching movies. If your into pink Floyd music there's a weird type of mind blowing vr movie, as well as a few vr animations, and vr museum/ sightseeing tours ( my favorite vr activity).

Been into VR since the DK1 in like 2012 and still disappointed with it. I just don't think it's ever gotten its killer app for me, outside perhaps beat saber. I just want a killer RPG experience (Shangri-la, SAO, Log Horizon) etc. Once I get that, I'm basically dead to the real world.
Wish it was 200 euros. They are selling 3S for 300, but that used to be the price of the base meta quest, before they bumped it up. I kinda want one, but I know the use would be very limited, like with my steam deck, like maybe I'd watch some videos while I'm laying down in my bed, but aside Beat Saber, I can only think around maybe 10 titles I'd be interested in. Also, I wonder, if they have a guitar learning app or something, because I know base meta quest 3 has a piano app. That alone would make me wanna buy.
The headset and META is a meh experience. There are only a few good games and none really have any replay value. META hasn't really brought anything to the table, most of the good stuff was started when Oculus was still a thing and META is just milking off of the previous content. I had the Rift, the Quest and now the Quest 3. VR is fun at first, then it gets stagnant. I enjoyed a couple things on META TV but then that got boring as well. Now my headset just sits. I feel the innovation was at its peak when Oculus was running things. Steam has a lot of good VR games and is pretty much the only reason I play it when I do.
Is your fault for not trying any new games 😂 I keep getting back playing the same games for 3 straight years. Is even better than when I first tried it because I actually tried other games

All I can say is I am happy for you to be able to mindlessly play the same crap over and over, but I can't. Most of it is childish and when you try to play multiplayer you end up with a bunch of kids who annoyingly think they are being cool by cussing, acting stupid and rage quitting.
I play prettt consistently. Always finding new games to try. Some are good for a short, some longer. But after I’m played out on one, I’m ready to go back to others I haven’t played in a while again.
This is really good, have the Quest 3 myself and I'm excited for more people to get their hands on VR! We need more people and players :D
