- Every morning I take my daily exercise walk, and it occurred to me that it's so pretty that I should film and share it with you guys. I hope you enjoy it and that you're keeping safe and well.

When you started reviewing motor coaches I had my doubts. I thought that that the interesting thing was the amazing engineering and design that went into these boats, but now it's clear...it's you. I've enjoyed every one of you videos, the kayak (I'm from the US) one was especially interesting as it took a turn from your normal videos. I know I'm just some guy from Utah, but please keep making content...you are EASILY one of my favorite presenters, because you are clearly driven by passion. Thank You.
You're very kind, thank you :)
Ariisgood Absolutely! Nick has tons of charisma. I even get in trouble from my wife if I watch his videos without her.
@@mattshaffer7699 Clearly a woman of great taste! :D
Start a walking tour. I'm sure lots would follow.
Hear hear
This video really shows that you’re just as interesting as the boats or the scenery you show us. It’s refreshing to see such authenticity on TH-cam these days, keep up the good work Nick! I wish you the best :)
I'm on a mission. I will not be deterred. I will view every Aquaholic and Motoholic video on TH-cam. And I will do it for you Nick. You deserve the support. Keep up the good work.
Go for it! 😃
"Just here is another place where you just have to stop, just for a minute, and take in the view ... " Nick Burnham, April 2020, Torquay, outside a Ladies Toilet. :-)
Hey, it's important to have a hobby! :D
I was thinking exactly the same lol
I did giggle at bit 😂😂😂
Yes - I thought the same thing
"If you're going to dream, then dream big, that's what this channel is all about" Well said Nick.........
Writing this for my mother who is 81 years old. She loves watching your videos. I put them on at night for her to watch. We live in Birmingham and my mother can't really get around now.
Continuation of video B. Yes Nick we returned several years later with a 18ft Cuddy and took her from Brixam to Torquay during our two weeks wonderful holiday. We subsequently lived in Gibraltar on a 36 ft sailing yacht where we became residents living and working for approximately 6 years. We now reside in Rivington, Lancashire, and enjoy our weekends driving our Mercedes SL350 , so you see Nick at 76 yrs of age we have something in common , and as a nostalgic I wanted to take the opportunity to say Thank You for being simply who you are,and for sharing your life’s interest ‘s and passions with like minded people. Barrie Owen? Graceland Drum Academy, if you wish to speak further !
Awesome! :)
Great video. Also one of my favourite walks. Very well made.
Also, nice bit of mixing with the waves audio at meadfoot. Good job. 😎
Nice video,I would happily watch more like it.
Stunning ! I will be back to Torquay soon..
I hope that Marianne had a full English breakfast ready for you Nick, when you came back home :) :) )
I expected to see Sydney Opera House, the hanging gardens of Babylon, or, at the very least, herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain....
This is Torquay, Madam! :D
Faulty Towers quote?
@@vitaliphotos Yes.
Dennis Moore: oh yes, I can hear John Cleese’s thinly veiled sheer echoing through it.
Oh that’s my favourite episode of Fawltey Towers!
Next stop ...travel channel :-) - thanks for sharing. Beautiful..
A joyous video, thank you. What a magical place. And a Wetherspoons on the harbour. What more is there to want? No, that's not sarcasm. If the Torbay Tourist Board wants to boost visitor numbers they should distribute this video far and wide. You can make as many of these walking videos as you like Nick. I'd watch them all as would many other people.
There is a new one coming soon!
@@AQUAHOLIC Good! Thanks in advance. Look forward to visiting one day.
We are so lucky to live in Torbay. I wouldn't live anywhere else.
Wonderful - you do these personal videos so well letting us in to share your world. Enormously enjoyable more would be good thank you.
Thank you!
This Mr Burnham was what dreams are made of! You can make this a series or a new channel and I would definitely watch! That 39 minutes flew by and I kept thinking that I didn't want it to end. There are nature channels that do not hold a candle to this. You are a natural presenter and that makes this experience so much richer. Very relatable, very passionate, and very enjoyable. Keep this up and you will get that home and the helicopter to boot!
You're very kind :)
Thanks for taking us along. Lovely scenery. Very tranquil. Your very grateful and proud of your city and rightfully so.
It's not a city 😂
My mother lives in Cornwall. This corner is just very special. I love being there and I enjoy every minute. I myself live in Germany because of my work. You have it really nice. I get a drink in the tea house in the haven,
That time again looking forward to holidaying down there this year
Roll on summer! ☀
Oh, Nick! You are taking me back more than 40 years.....
I was a schoolboy from Copenhagen DK back then, and my parents thought I should improve my english language. So I spent all summer living with the Fraser family at St. Margaret' Ave.
Best summer ever! I had my first shandy, my first beer and my first kisses from a lovely girl, Barbara! .....and we did more or less the same walk as you now did.
Thank you so much for a small trip down memory lane.....and keep on the good work. You are absolutely one of my TH-cam heroes!
That's fantastic, I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)
pinkze ( also a Nick ! ) he say " well done Nick, watched many times, really enjoy this, love your stories too ! I know you're probably busy but please - more walking ! I don't watch many of your boating videos, but don't worry I'll keep your views up on the walkaholic ones "
We did a couple more at the beginning of the year, but the truth is they do very poorly for views as it's really a boating channel so people want and expect boating. However Marianne's taken on the walking mantle on her channel, and I crop up in them from time to time so you might enjoy those. th-cam.com/channels/gmNkkDZxdUArD-oJh0vmHA.html
@@AQUAHOLIC pinkze he say " thanks Nick, I will do. Hope you are both well, take care. Check out this on my channel, probably not your cup of tea, but I would value your unbiased opinion. Thank you "

This tour reminds me in a small part of when my late husband and I were on honeymoon and we stopped in St. Kitts in the Caribbean. We went horseback riding in the rainforest and it was spectacular. About 4 hours or so total and we would stop and overlook the view and could see downward towards the Caribbean sea and it was truly beautiful. We always appreciated nature and spending it together. I feel the same kind of love that you have for your Marianne, especially when you say you want to have breakfast on the bench overlooking the water. Please enjoy each other always. Love is a beautiful event and always should be enjoyed. Hugs!
getting to see well presented video.of a cool walk with awesome views.that was very fun to see.
Really enjoyed this video love your home town would love to visit some day
My Dad did his National Service in Plymouth in the late 50s before moving to Canada, where I was born. We had a good life in Canada (with a few boats along the way) but when he retired he moved back and lived out the rest of his life in Torbay (just a few minutes walk from Babbacombe Downs. Ironically, I now like in the UK. I can see why he loved it down there so much and I have many happy memories of visits with him and having breakfast in the little cafe just between your friend’s Real Estate office and your old office!
Nice scenery there. Good place to walk around and go for a hike.
What beautiful scenery! Thank you so much Nick. I appreciate your eye for beauty and your determination to share it with us! BRAVO!
His way of even showing the yachts is a blessing.
Peter Powell, stunt kite, the dream machine of my youth, I checked on Wikipedia and sadly he passed away in 2016, what an amazing legacy, inventor of the stunt kite. Amazing.
Thanks for the walk, I feel like I cheated, 2nd for the day. I enjoyed it.
Take care, stay safe. 👍👍👍😎
Actually had a tear in my eye watching this video. Torquay & Torbay was the last place that we took my Nan & Auntie (her younger sister) for what turned out to be their final holiday together. The hotel right at the very start was where we stayed! Thank you for stirring up some very happy memories!
Forgot yesterday. Stompaholic ! 😆😆 Xxxx
Fabulous walk, I have always loved torbay going right back to when my grand parents lived there. Sadly just a magnolia tree and a blue plaque remains. Fond memories.
Your a lucky guy living in such a magnificent part of the country, so near to dartmoor and of course a spectacular coastline.
Love the videos too
At this point I'd happily watch Nick conduct a tour of a garbage truck, knowing he'd eventually lead us graciously to a magnificently designed 34m sanitary landfill.
Beautiful scenery, thanks for sharing Nick.
I've only ever been to Torquay twice; once as a kid on a family holiday to Paignton in 1982 and once last year to Plainmoor to watch my team against Torquay United. This has inspired me to go again when we're allowed out again.
nice beaitiful place....take care always..........
Wow Nick. What a lovely walk. Amazing views and vistas, and such a relaxing soundtrack. Bird song, and gentle waves. The headland at Thatchers rock !! I'd never leave. The peace and tranquility. The ever-changing view, driven by the wind and sea. A bench, a mug of tea. Pure heaven.
And how right you are. We are blessed to luce in such a beautiful country, with such walks and wilderness so close.
You are a lucky guy to be able to start your day in such beautiful surroundings. Thank you so much for sharing!! Xxxx
So, Sir Nick, first let me say that I pray that you are all tucked away sleeping peacefully. Even with what is going on we all have chores, so it took me a bit to set aside some time to watch this... well I will tell you... you never cease to amaze me with your videos. I'm just a nobody, but I will tell you just how much I love your videos; this should go up for a short film award. Absolutely beautiful and impressive. Cheers, all.
Jeff, from Pennsylvania, U.S.
What i love is that your a regular person with aspirations to enjoy the finer things, like most us. Or like my wife and I. We love going for walks, looking at scenery, talking about the houses and the like. Hope your staying safe and healthy
Thank you, you too! :)
Well Nick. Another excellent video. No, I wasn’t having chocolate, or relaxing drinking wine, I was in bed watching videos till I fell asleep. However, I started watching this video. You took me along paths and showed me parts of the world I will never see in person. You took to see some of the most stunning vistas on God’s great earth. I agree that you have been blessed with where you live, but you have in turn have blessed me by taking me along with you. You see, 15-1/2 years ago I was almost killed in a truck(lorry) wreck and am permanently disabled. I can walk but very minimally, and can only get around with 2 canes. So, this for me was a very enjoyable video, as I used to like to go for walks and going along with you was very enjoyable. Thank you so much
My pleasure BU.
Torquay could presumably be a heaven on earth...on my pilgrimage list! :)))
What a wonderful video, as much as I love your sensational boat videos, this is an endearing and intimate side to Aquaholic that I look forward to seeing more of.
Such beautiful vistas so eloquently narrated with the low morning sun giving such a warm glow to the journey. Much love
What a beautiful place. I got engaged over looking the sea at the Imperial hotel some 12 years ago. We haven’t been there since then, which is a real shame. When all this madness is over we’ll definitely be back. Thanks for bringing back the memories. A fantastic video.
Brilliant tour 👍😀💓
Lovely scenery Nick. You’re lucky to have that on your doorstep. Also, glad to see that I’m not the only lunatic out wandering at 6am. Under the current lockdown conditions we’re not allowed to stray more than 2km from home but I’ve managed to find new gaps in hedges and paths through fields that keep me within 2km but also get me my daily 10km. Stay healthy and safe man!
Hi Nick, it's so nice to see you doing well. Your video is fantastic. I felt I was walking with you. Very authentic! Thank you!
Beautiful place to live. Thank you for bringing us along.
Wonderful walk if tiring watching you gamboling up and down and around and about. Loved the walk then I saw your real love is expensive big boy toys. Thank you.
Just Amazing...!!! 👌👌
Brings back happy holiday memories in 70/80’s visiting Cockington with the Koi carp! Living in Western Australia feeling very homesick!,, Fantastic sir.
My sister is lucky enough to have a holiday home in brixham so i’m very fortunate to have spent some time in this beautiful part of the world. It surprises me that some people don’t realise how much beauty we have in our wonderful country Torbay being one of those places. Great video and thank you
Nice to see your surroundings and to see your very nice dream houses. Its a good thing, the ability to dream, as we dream of, especially, the Princess yachts you show us.
Thank you!
I’m sitting in my beach apartment in southern Spain I can here the waves as I watch your video I have to say I’m a little jealous. What a lovely video please do more. Keep well & safe everyone
It’s 4:30am in Portland, Oregon and I still haven’t slept. So, I’m relaxing in bed watching TH-cam and realize you’ve posted a new video.
Yippeeeeee a scenic video through the neighborhood. I too love looking at houses, envisaging which house I’d choose, as my forever home.😁
Stay safe and healthy. We all need more of your awesome videos. Keep rocking that beard.
Thanks, and you! :)
Loved it Looking forward to walkaholic
I’d forgotten how beautiful Torbay is, haven’t been there in 20 years. Lovely thanks
So beautiful, thank you for sharing, the sea looks so inviting for a spot of coastal sea kayaking.
Made me realise how unfit I am I was tired half way through hahaha.
I never thought someone filming and narrating their own brisk 40 minute morning walk would be interesting but that was thoroughly enjoyable, largely because you're such a nice guy.
By the way I worked in tourism for 30 years and have visited and lived in some of the most beautiful places on Earth and can say I've never seen anything to top what you showed us today.
Thank you.
Absolutely magical , hearing the birds too... best time of the day ..
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Fantastic! A beautiful morning for a lovely walk. Thanks for sharing your world, clearly means a great deal. And I admire your calm, easy narration and description. In today's world with all the angst that brings even before lockdown, nice to chill out a bit to this. Many thanks for sharing!
Well done Nick - you had a beautiful morning to really show off the gorgeous coastline -Hope Torbay Tourist Board follows you . Stay safe and look forward to your future boat reviews .
A wise man takes a stroll early in the morning... Walkaholic priceless
Thank you very much, Nick I spent eight weeks back in the 70s at Manor House up on the hill, in my free time I would watch the fishermen early in the morning it was a nice reminder of a lovely part of the world. More details walk around the harbour facilities and maybe the cost of moring etc
Barrie
What a beautiful part of the country Nick. Seeing them stunning vistas has cheered us up a treat, looking forward to the next walk!. 😉👍
Thank you for allowing us to see your beautiful area where you live and get to walk everyday. I agree the views are gorgeous. Thank you and keep safe :)
That was wonderful! Thank you for the tour! I enjoyed it very much and look forward to seeing more videos like this if you choose to make them. I am happy that you are in such beautiful surroundings during this pause. I hope that you continue to stay safe and well.
Thanks for taking us on a tour
Brilliant area! Love all that glorious scenery! And all these pathways are such a treasure to have and share! 👌💎👌❤️❤️❤️
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Doing more to promote Torbay than the local tourist board! Great walk!
Great video Nick. As a Brit living in Malaysia I really miss the English countryside. So this was a very pleasurable experience for me. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for coming along :)
I've just watched 39 minutes of a guy walking along a British coastal path with a GoPro in one hand and chatting about views and such. Loved it, thank you Nick..
Ah, that was great. You are a very good videographer and I very mcuh enjoy your videos. It was great to see your personality more.
I live near the tallest spot in Mid-Michigan,and thought the 20 mile view in 3 direction was something.I waved, but since I don't get up until the crack of noon,I think we missed signals.Thank you for such a wonderful tour,Nick. You truely are a blessed man.I'll look forward to more walkabouts. This was excellent.Very beautiful area for sure.
Loved this video. The scenerey has left me speachless. You are truly blessed to be able to walk there every day. No need to go to a gym.
Loved the humorous coments and the way you incorporated the music into the video. Perfect selection for this video.
Glad to see you in goid spirits.
Here in Brazil I have gone back to work. All employess wearing masks and had sanitizer. Plus have our temperatures taken every day. I'm sure your aware of how many buisnesses have closed. So you can imagine how happy I am to be working after 3 weeks of isolation.
Keep safe Nick. Looking foward to that video of you and Mariane (sorry if I misspelled her name) having that lovely breakfast.
Sacrafises pay off in the end. So yes I understand the route you took instead of going the usual way. It pays off in the long run.
Also great videograhy.
Wow,... stunning! Thanks for sharing Nick 👍
I loved this video Nick. As I do all your videos, but this one was comforting and therapeutic to see something different for a change. At present, we have been greated with 4" of an April snow this morning here in Rhode Island, USA. Stay safe and healthy 🙏
Such a scenic daily walk, beautiful views like that should be appreciated, and it is wonderful for you to share it with us. Thanks Nick
I’ve watched just about every yacht video Nick has made .I have to say this is now my favorite video on his channel. I’ve come to realize that boats are not the only reason I watch. Keep up the good work
Thanks, Nick, that was spectacular.
Oh!! Nıck, absolutely fabulous 🎉so peaceful with amazing views😮! Thank you❤
Spectacular scenery indeed. And a lovely tour through all the stunning vistas. You live in a beautiful area and it is great to see you enjoy it so much.
Glad you enjoyed it
Superb.
What a fantastic way to start your day.
Water lapping at the shores is such a relaxing sound.
Absolutely beautiful, love the calm of the morning before the world wakes up, what a magical place we live in when get wake up early to see it.
Absolutely loved this video Nick. We have visited Torquay pretty much every year since I was born and it never grows old. Looks like our holiday will be cancelled this year but can’t wait to return and walk this route!
Excellent walk and talk. More please.
Beautiful town Nick! Love the personal videos, keep em coming!
Really enjoyable and really the full Aquaholic tour.I initially watched this on my ageing budget laptop but over the weekend invested in a £299 budget 4k smart tv.The difference in quality and detail is amazing , I still have about 15 minutes still to go of this video which I will watch shortly. After that I think I may have to rewatch the Aquaholic back catalogue to see all the small details I probably missed first time round !
Enjoy! :)
I'd have to say that was one of my favorite videos from you. Now don't get me wrong I love the boat tours without a doubt but this was very peaceful in a rough time. Thank you for that. Keep'em coming Nick.
Thanks for the memories Nick.😁 I left NW England (Preston Lanc.) in 1953 with my family emigrating to Canada as a young lad. I have only flown in & out of Heathrow to & from the Med. since. Nevertheless I can still remember the smell of the freshness in the air after an English rain or along the seaside with crashing waves. I guess those things are engraved forever & flood back during unexpected moments. Well Nick you provided such a moment & although I have travelled to many places in my life & love Canada as my home, I guess an old adage of ‘taking the boy out of England but never taking England out of the boy’ applies to me. Keep safe Nick with your family & God Bless.
That really is a stunning coastline, Nick and the sea was like glass. Thanks for bringing it to us.
Thanks for sharing your morning walk. I actually followed along on Google Earth as you were walking. Great way to get an idea of where you were and the route you took. I look forward to you doing more of these in the future. Thanks again!
Another great video Nick, done in your usual professional and natural style. My first holiday with my wife before we were married in 1963 was in Torquay and we both fell in love with both the place and the people. We returned two years later with
Love you. Love the vid. I'd love to see more. What a blessed life. My official guess on the strip is lawn bowling or shuffleboard. I was following your path on Google Earth and I saw a series of them at Walls Hill as well (?) right before the gorgeous Babbacombe view. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing all this. Amazing!
What a fantastic video Nick. I enjoyed that so much. It was lovely to be able to see the coast at a time where we are unable to visit ourselves. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. Looking forward to seeing more and ultimately getting through the tough times. Stay safe and take care.
Cheers Nick, thanks for the content!
Thoroughly enjoyed joining you on your walk this morning! Thanks for taking us along.
Sir
What a beautiful life you have
Thanks Nick, I enjoyed your walk.
