I just passed the Part 107 today got a 78% and i feel down after studying a month.im not to happy with 78% but on a positive note I don't have to pay $175 again and hey my wife keeps telling me you passed thats all that matters.
Great video on all the logistics, exactly what I was looking for. A lot of videos out there on how to study and pass the test but none on the basic steps on how to start the process. No more excuses, time to get my 107. Thanks man

I don't like that the test costs so much and you have to go back every 24 months to take it again. Plus, there really isn't a good standard study guide, so the FAA needs to do better. It's almost like they don't want you to have it.
thank you for the motivation! was in the same boat, bought my drone a year ago, flew it a couple times and got paranoid i was doing something in violation every time for just lack of knowledge and knowing i couldnt make money off of it was annoying. I underestimated the difficulty of the exam and realized that the day before. Quickly went home from work and crammed in 10 hours of studying and practice tests. Passed with a 70! That part is on me for sure, but just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to go through the process. I appreciate you.
Great video. I'm a Private Pilot, working on my Instrument and Commercial. It's nice to know that the drone license is similar to information needed to know as a pilot in terms of weather, METAR (it's pronounced ME-TAR), TAF, airspace, etc. Thank you for this... My boss at my new job needs a drone pilot, and offered to cover expenses for me to learn it. I got 2 months. But damn, Step 3, there’s like 12 chapters in this thing. 7 days seems, oof. Luckily, I got more than 7. That, and it’ll really make a good impression for my employer if I say, whatever you want me to learn how to do, I’ll do, and then I turn around and actually walk the walk to match the talk. I’m certainly trying. Wish me luck.

It's a requirement that I have it within a year at my job. My manager did not sell it at all. She basically demotivated me and now I'm here, half a month away from needing the license. She said things about "it's hard" and the hard part is the "charts", etc. She promissed to share study material and has yet to send anything.... And then she says thins like, "get your license so I don't have to fly the drone anymore." BRUHH!!!!! Alteast the study material seems interesting. Thanks for the video, it came at the right time. :)

Do all faa uas rules apply on Native Americans' reserved lands ( aka: reservations ) ? ... I personally don't think so. ... And the Dakota Sioux just recently won back their lands from the state of Minnesota.

For $47, it is great but simplified material. Be sure to delve into the support materials they provide as well.

Followed your plan, passed on the first try. I think what helped me and probably others, is the concept of setting the time frames you suggested. I got me to quit hem-hawing around and just do it. Thanks.
Dang, maybe I'm too hard on myself! I've been taking the study course through pilot institute and just now finished it after about a month (that's with days here and there of not studying and digging deeper to make sure I understand before moving forward) and I still feel like I need to brush up on a few things before I schedule it! I only missed 3 on the practice exam though, for a 95%. I'm gonna register and schedule tomorrow! (I've been hearing that it's taking months to get the card in the mail, though! I guess the FAA is getting backed up)

Not if you are flying recreational and the weight of the mini 3 is under the limit. However, there is a new requirement to pass a minor test to fly recreational. Good luck
