"You Can Dance" album came out when I was 16 years old. I bought the cassette tape way back in 1987. There was no social media nor the internet way back then.
By the late 1990s I stopped buying her albums. The only new ones I have are the Celebration CD, Rebel Heart CD(the regular one and not the red one), and Madame X(the regular one and not the one with long hair). I'll definitely buy this "Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones" CD.

When ITG was new and played at Scorpio in Charlotte, NC, the floor between the dance floor and the main bar became a dance floor...really the entire first floor, second floor, the whole bar danced. It was phenomenal...the crowds response and the track itself.

Is it really? I’d believe that a remix album is mainly aiming at hard core fans. I’d also believe that the vast majority of them (me being one of them) would have already heard or bought or somehow included in their music lists all the remixes that are included in the remix album, or at least the ones they like. So hard core fans have no reason to purchase the remix album, while wider audience would prefer the radio versions of the songs, instead of remixes, some of which are bound to sound outdated, since they’re produced decades ago.
Wouldn’t it be better if she’d release new remixes of her songs? Or even include non official remixes, that could even be selected by fans’ voting? That would fortify the fan to artist bonding and would reward ethically and financially all these remixers that have given to her fans countless new reasons to revisit her songs. The net is filled with versions of Madonna’s songs not just comparable to the official ones but way better and certainly more innovative.
I mean have you heard dens54, dubtronic, sartori (to name but a few) mixes of Madonna’s songs?

I remember DJ’s from clubs taking it from a radio station in NYC called Z100 and played it that night. I believe they took it from the movie. The movie Desperately seeking Susan came out before the song actually came out. Everybody wanted to have it and dance to it.
