Damn, we have loss so so many great ones. It's sad to think in another 10 years or so all the GREATS, all from the golden age of country music will be all gone. Just like in other genre of music, such as rock, pop, you name it...they will all be gone...Such is aging...RIP Mr Clark. You were truly one of a kind..A true legend.

I loved Roy Clark...also Glen Campbell, Charlie Pride, Bobby Bare...and they all died around that 2017-2023 or 2024 time period. I miss the old greats that I had all those years. I do not know any of these newer people in Country music and none, none at all are like the Roy Clark, Campbell, those kind of talents.

"Who's gonna fill his shoes? Who's gonna walk that tall? Who's gonna play the Opry? Or the Wabash Cannonball?" The answer to the first 2 is nobody. No one is coming along who will be the next Roy Ckark. You don't know how lucky you are to have someone until you don't have them anymore. Heaven must have one Hell of a band.

We will never see or hear the class of true performers that are now no longer with us. The Greatest Generation and their kids are the last of a breed of true artists who never needed artificial electronic gadgetry to provide us with incredible music and artistry. The world is very much poorer for it.

If you didn't already know it, you could hardly tell it was Glen Campbell behind him at 2:42. Y'all should find it on TH-cam. It's a fun video.
RIP, Roy Clark. When I get to my heavenly home, I want to live on the same block as you and Glen Campbell so I can hear y'all's amazing talent throughout eternity.

I know this doesn't sound very tactful or show respect.....but i thank god and rejoice that if this was Roy's destiny I was blessed to be alive during his career and his last days. All the people born in the last 5 years that will only have Video archives and stories about Roy while I grew up in the 1960's to be a witness to God's creation that made the rich and the poor laugh.
I once read about the equalizers . It spoke of how the poor curses the rain while the rich have shelter from it but the Farmers rejoice it .

well, Glenn Campbell dies not to long ago and now Roy. my heroes are all dead now. i believe Willie Nelson is the last of the great classic country legends still around, when he goes, thats it for quality country music. modern country (every bit of it) is sad and forgettable. we will just have our memories.

@@puertecitos6888 Yeah she is. She started out at the age of 13. Way back in the early 70s. I guess you could say that about Dolly too. But both were influenced by the classic Giants we all knew and loved. So in essence um yeah she is a classic. She's only in her late 50s now.
