    Great idea to have audio loops in your set like this. Thanks for the tips!!

    I'm planning to buy one, but I would really like to make more experimental music and not the classic EDM or beatmaking. This video showed me all the possibilities of this device, thank you

    After watching this I'll be digging into mpc live 2 clips basically try a similar work flow in stand-alone using just clips trigger see what I can come up with

      @tonyg1997 3 months ago it went well I posted the result a short time after I did the experiment the video some where on my TH-cam channel basically its possible to do on the live 2 or mpc one the force makes it more easier

      Can you route your clips to mixer tracks / outputs, add effects etc? Any flexibility with changing sequences at all to shift gears of a song like going from verse to chorus?

      Finally someone agreed with me !!
      This is even better than the full MPC line to me…
      And I also have the MPCX…that I don’t use anymore since I’ve got the Force. Even the pads are better, way better to me…
      PS: with the full pack of plugins instruments/FX/etc. this is a MONSTER
      My only one regret is the lack of possibility to tilt the screen

      @@1980VINZ.. i just recently made plans to purchase one from a friend who has one in storage with 2 terabytes of ungraded storage. My question is will having the Akai force, will there be a need to invest in the other akai mpcs that's out there on the market? If so, can you explain the difference between this and that? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

    Great presentation. I’m doing something similar on an mpc 1000 using the track mutes page on JJOS as the “clip launcher”, going through a mini kaos pad 2s and then a zoom ms-70cdr. the kaoss pad’s sampler function doubles as the “DJ deck” for playing full tracks after I get through all the live material 😂 I am loving these features on the force, I just wish it were a bit smaller

    Really great set. I definitely use many of the same techniques in my performance template, along with techniques I haven't seen anyone else use. It's always beautiful to watch a performance and take note of the unique things an artist does to customize their setup. Of course, all that is wasted if the music isn't good, and I'm stoked to say I loved every minute of your set. Cheers.

      As much as I’d love to - Ableton have told me they don’t have any stock to either loan me one or sell one at a discount. I can’t justify buying it at the retail price, so unless a miracle occurs a and someone gifts me one it’s likely not going to happen.

    Waddup Tubedigga? Let might start off by Bigging you up and much props for your contribution to our community .
    There this weird thing going on over here in the US with sound. Recently people in our Akai community have been posting that the new Akai gear doesn't sound good. My point is none of it was never meant to sound good it was an accompaniment tool. It was the cheapest thing us kids could purchased to make Hip Hop and House back inda day. And you guys in the UK Techno and Jungle etc. Im 61 and I was there. I consider you an architect of sound .
    For some reason I feel sound is more important to the UK music lovers. . Are you or have you made a comparison video between the old gear and the new Akai? Part of the issue is that the whole thing was an happy accident with the formula . Technic 1200 + Akai = a fat ass analog sound! We sprinkled our magic but none the less the new gear has a faster work flow with more sample time. Thanks and keep teaching. I don't know what your real job is but your a gifted teacher.

    • @TUBEDIGGA
      @TUBEDIGGA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind words. Yea this whole sound debate nonsense has got out of hand. I get it but at the same time it feels like a bunch of spoilt children with first world problems. My attitude it to work with what you’ve got, as I did in the 90s when I had very little money or equipment. I have done one video comparing the S950 with an ASRX and the Polyend Tracker. I’ll send the link in another message.

    During your set, your Force had its left and right sides cleared for let it breathes, right ? (I noticed the cooling is made by the opened sides of the machine)
    Or the Force was in the middle of a rig, side by side ?

    How do you go from one song to another when you're playing live with Akai Force?

    • @TUBEDIGGA
      @TUBEDIGGA  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well in this example I just create several scenes (rows of clips on different tracks) which are essentially my ‘songs’ or song ideas. It’s all in one project.s You just have to be economical with the ram memory usage. I expand on this in the masterclass. Alternatively you can use a looper of some description to capture what’s currently playing and be loading a new project in the background.

  • @koodauskanava9096
    @koodauskanava9096 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If you need to change tempo between two tracks, how would you do that?

    • @TUBEDIGGA
      @TUBEDIGGA  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Masterclass course covers how to set up the Force so it can be used to sync tracks at a fixed bpm. However it can also be used to do basic volume mixing between two tracks that have different tempos (more of an eclectic set rather than a specific genre dance music set). What it doesn’t cover is changing the tempo to and warping.

    • @TUBEDIGGA

      Similar, but I’d have one program with tons of note events all in one sequence and use mutes and the pad mixer to bring samples in and out.

      @@TUBEDIGGAwould you mind doing a similar video for the MPC? Can we trigger the fx the same way?

  • @ionianechoes
    @ionianechoes 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You are triggering full tracks as clips and you say your set is based on improvisation? Now, that makes me wonder what is then a non-improvised set?

    • @TUBEDIGGA
      @TUBEDIGGA  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ionianechoes The majority of the material isn’t full tracks but this set up can accommodate them as well. Most of the set is made up of 1/2/4 bar loops and short sections / ideas / components that work well together enough to be performed to give the illusion they are full tracks. The effects and different ways I interact with them and the samples they’re applied to allows me to perform and potentially turn them into full tracks in the studio.
