    I started out using this kind of thread bobber stops. But when they get wet they slip and slide and don't stay put. It gets very frustrating.i moved to the rubber ones and they are much better. You should check them out. I've had problems with that kind they're getting hung in my reel as well. Rubber ones are much better and last longer

    I have a question about fishing this way when it is windy. With spot lock, should you be down wind of brush top and recast as the float comes to the boat or spot lock up wind and fish the brush top from the back of the boat as the float could be held near the brush top.

    • @BTROutdoors
      @BTROutdoors  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I prefer the 2nd option, holding by the brush, it is a great way to catch fish.

    Now what are the green beads in the bag for?

    • @BTROutdoors
      @BTROutdoors  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use them for the bobber stop, it keeps the bobber from going past the bobber stop knot

    So if I expect to reel in my line to travel back and forth from home or in between uses, I can't attach anything (beads, float, etc) until I get to the fishing destination, correct? THANKS for the info, first time trying these.

    • @BTROutdoors
      @BTROutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well thanks for the comment, I'm not sure if I understand the question. You can always have your rig pre tied and ready to go. You can move your bobber close to the hook and reel in the rest of the line (bobber stop and all) then you can transport the fishing pole back and forth. Then when your ready to fish just set your bobber stop depth and your ready to fish. I hope that answers your question, thank you for watching

    I have the same bobber stops but after a while they start moving. I’ve only got a 1 ounce weight on my line do you have any advice about that?

    • @BTROutdoors
      @BTROutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would just put a new one on, that's what I do. Try that and make sure the knot is tight. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. I'm going fishing tomorrow I will look in on that.

    what is the max weight / sinker i can use on this rig ? Will be using a 5 inch floating cork.
    My issue is that I want use this on a longer rod but my rod is rated at 2-6oz lure .

      Honestly I used a one ounce weight and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. I hope this helped you

    What's the point of the weight then

    • @BTROutdoors
      @BTROutdoors  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Helps to keep the bobber straight up and down. Also keeps your bait down. It's a personal preference of mine.
