This theme sounds kinda sad to me, and I love when the last battle theme sounds sad. It's as if the music is saying that it's sad that at the end fighting is the only option...
Best of the Wily battle themes; this one really makes you feel as though it's the final battle against Dr. Wily (and at the time it was as MM6 was the last one back then) and after all the other battles, this one is the time you'll finally stop him.
I always felt this theme was less "about" the immediate battle, but more trying to emphasize that it was the culmination of all the very long years MM's been fighting Wily. As if this one was trying to say that "this is _final_ final battle"
This theme plays the final time Wily and Rock faces off, the whole base is falling down piece by piece and only one is getting out alive no matter what!
You know the final boss has truly gone insane when the music tugs at your heartstrings. Sure, what Dr. Wily did is wrong but I can now sympathize for him. You can still sense the humanity in him, even though he's gone mad.
Despite how easy the fight is, I love how it has this sense of finality. This is the best final boss theme of the NES titles and it has three phases like Wily is resorting to all his options.
Reminds me to how the roboenza thing in Mega Man 10, allegedly connected with Maverick virus and Roll being sick probably explains why the game also has that tone to the music. I mean, just hear the regular (robot master) boss theme
@@luisjogos821 I remember beating all of 6's Wily Phases in less than 30 seconds over on the Legacy Collection (3DS) because it was the boss I was most practiced with.
I love how ANGRY this sounds. Like Mega Man is just beyond fed up with Wily's shit at this point. No wonder he actually locks him up at the end of this one.
Not mention, it seems wily also has had enough of Megaman, this time, wily doesn't escape into another level after his machine gets destroyed, he doesn't take you on with a puppet or with a hologram, he just fights himself until the very end without breaks in between, it may seem like something small but honestly I've always thought it was a really neat way to show how _final_ this battle was, no Tricks, no disguises, nothing, just two long time enemies fighting until one is Victorious.
Really wish they would the transition between the original and x series. I know they all have their ideas of what really happened to the robots. From what I heard, Zero didn't kill the cast, but what other explanation is there? Robots live for eons. I imagine Zero being released by Wily, being under his total control until Zero breaks free from it, given how insane he originally was. Bass, Proto Man, Roll, Duo and the other robots were destroyed by Zero and Mega Man fights him. I imagine Zero destroying Wily given how chaotic he was. He would have had to, because Dr. Light, in his elder years, finished creating X. X was a new robot, rather than an upgraded Mega Man. That is why he asked who Dr. Light was and obviously Wily would have had to have been dead, because otherwise, he would have built a robot without complete sentience to stop him. I would think Mega Man fought Zero and given how advanced Zero was, he's unable to overpower him, so he self destructs, doing damage to Zero, but not enough to destroy him, but only put him in a stasis mode. From what I know, he was discovered by Reploids and when he gets powered on, he goes insane and attacks. That is what I should happen and this would be a great theme to go out on. Where you finally fight Wily's masterpiece: Zero.
I think the most possible (and boring) answer is that all the robots from the classic series met their expiration date and were scrapped sometime down the line. It's totally possible that zero killed wily though because idk how else to explain the bloody zero hands
Although i think that Mega Man 10 would have been a better candidate for that, because the very tone of the game, which is reflected even in the soundtrack gives the feeling of being the true end of the classic series, it would also be appropriate considering that in Roman numerals the letter X means 10 in arabic ones, Mega Man 10 also introduces the precursor to the Maverick virus, so it's a lost opportunity. because Capcom could have done something similar to what the Mega Man Unlimited fangame did. And there is also a lot of potential with a hypothetical series that is located chronologically between the classic saga and X that would serve as a transition. because there were too many loose ends of the classic saga unresolved. Unfortunately, Capcom was more interested in tapping into fans' nostalgia than making a satisfying conclusion.

The last 8 bit era of the final battle song of Megaman series
That's because it's child of vision from supertramp meaning c minor song along with hero's hometown from dragon warrior iv.
