    Very knowledgable. I love how you speak from experience rather than assumption. Swift gets such a bad rep but its honestly not as delicate as people think. I dont have a single visible scratch and it shows vibrant colors best.

    Most scratch resistant = least natural, looks good initially will degrade with time
    Most natural = easy to scratch, with time will gain patina and unique look

    Wow.... amazing run through of all the leathers! Good job mel, i thoroughly enjoyed this video. There are many leathers i have not seen before but the delicate ones are catching my attention esp peau pork, barenia etc. Appreciate the share! 🥰😍

    This was interesting. I have no Hermès bags but I am considering them so this information was good to hear. Oh, and Fjord - the ‘j’ is pronounced similar to a ‘y’ so its pronunciation is more like ‘f-yord’ or ‘fiord’, the same as geographical fjords. 😊 Thanks for sharing.

      It's bit like a hybrid of togo and clemence. Descriptions for togo and clemence will be applicable to that leather

  • @almond.wood_

    Togo & evercolor are scratch-resistant but Togo has veins that some may not like (I personally don’t mind them at all) They’re quite easy to maintain in general. Epsom is okay but once they are scratched there’s nothing we can do about it. Also it doesn’t feel as luxurious.
    A leather that is very prone to scratches is Evergrain! It’s a common leather for mini Roulis Noir color and when the SA took the bag out I already saw some scratches. I think the scratches are on embossed surface rather than on the leather itself. However I can buff them out and sometimes I put oil to remedy it and it works wonders.

    Great video! I was offered a K25 in swift recently and only agreed to buy it cause of your previous video about how swift leather isn’t as delicate as we all thought! And I totally agree with you about the natural nails and Epsom leather. I didn’t realize how easily it scratches until I try to open my two Constance bags - they’re both epsom and the clasp area is so scratched up now cause I partially use my nails to open up the bag.

    • @Purseonfleek
      @Purseonfleek  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yay congrats on your swift beauty! Such a great leather especially if u get that 7RP insert inside from early on it will hold its structure/shape forever . And yes omg the buckle area on a epsom Constance is always the part scratched so much! Where as other leathers it scratches but no colour loss so it's more tolerable

      Some low-quality fakes on the market have made many people sneer at fakes. These fakes can only be regarded as industrial garbage. *condup* bags are real replicas, 1:1 replicas, peerless and independent.

    Epsom absolutely scratches bad on a handbag!! She’s right. I learned the hard way from personal experience. Don’t listen to others who say because Epsom has raised spots it won’t scratch!!

    • @veroniquedelphi7689

      I’m a fan of epsom because it’s elegant looking and quite lightweight. Something to consider. And epsom looks great in sellier style (which cannnot be done in Togo or Clemence, etc) so that’s also a consideration.

    Wait how about box? Kinda same to tadelakt imo

    • @Purseonfleek
      @Purseonfleek  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep covered boxcalf ! But not the same as tadelakt cos it's delicate for other reasons and when fresh and new scratches are obvious than when the boxcalf is well used and has that beautiful patina. So only for that factor as a fresh leather it went into the delicate category but it still ranked very high as being a "least delicate-kind-of-leather"
