Quick tip, turning off your breaker when working with electricity is never a suggestion. Always turn it off when working around exposed sources. Otherwise really cool mod
it’s a cover, that’s like saying turn off your breaker before using your switch and then turning the breaker back on once your light switch is on or off 😂
@@nickr6184would I turn the power off? Probably not. Would I suggest most people do? Absolutely. There are exposed wires in the box and people are often not careful enough
Yes, my suggestion to turn off the electricity is just me cautioning the general public but I don’t want to be a hypocrite because I don’t always turn off the breaker to replace plate covers… although I do shut off the power for every other electrical project I’ve ever done. Thanks for the feedback though
@@nickr6184 the cover was removed and so you have to turn off the breaker. Industry standard and keep in mind all safety rules are written in blood. Not to mention not everyone has as much of an understanding with electrical work. What if someone watches this video and doesn’t turn the breaker off and assumes everything is ok to touch behind it. Once wires are exposed to touch the risk of getting shocked is increased
The light turned on and off when I pushed the red buttons and the blue button controls a ceiling fan so you wouldn’t have seen a light come on for those buttons.
It’s probably closer to a retaining ring than a snap ring (although those things are often used interchangeably)… 1 thing is true… Snap ring is more accurate than bracket was… so thanks.
Here’s a link to this Light Switch Cover👇🏽

This is pretty cool and original to me.
Thanks for checking it out!
Thats sick
Agreed
You’re supposed to put the blue on top and the red at the bottom
That feels like a preference more than a rule (that’s also how it’s shown on the Amazon product page)… But it is customizable, however you like.
Notice how the lights didn't turn out

Oh dang… I’ve never been given that feedback before. I’m definitely a real person … but I can understand the skepticism 😂
Snap rings not brackets.
