Grindcore is actually a cross between Death Metal and Hardcore Punk, much like Thrash Metal is a cross between Traditional Metal and Hardcore Punk. Grindcore is still considered a subgenre of metal. It's basically metal taken to it's most extreme.

Grind was before death metal.. so no. It has some elements that crossover with metal but that varies depending on the band. The ethos of the sound is still more akin to old school hardcore

I wouldn't say its most extreme. Though I guess it is an opinion, but their are so many super extreme sub genres that it is hard to say grindcore is the most extreme. Go check out braindrill or viraemia. I'd say that kind of technical is pretty extreme. Sorry to argue about stupid genres. It is pointless.

Holy fuck yes! BT has to be one of the best grind bands ever. IMO this is right on par with Sounds of the Animal Kingdom (or beyond!).

Haha, good joke. But, therapy can help all sorts of people. You don't need to be deeply messed up to get therapy. It's why parents take even kids as young as 3 to therapy now a days. So they can express and regulate their emotions better than adults today do. I'm not joking about that either, seriously kids as young as 3!
