Joel Grind is one of the most humble musicians in metal, every time I've seen him live he remembers me and we have a good lengthy chat. Love the man and his band.
I went to a Toxic Holocaust show once, and it was the craziest show I've ever experienced. Crowd went nuts, people moshing, stagediving and crowdsurfing. It was that intense, that one of the guys in the crowd broke down the bass. What a night!
It's all about how it sounds not how technical it is. It is good to play hard riffs for practice but if it's so hard that you just sound like shit when you try to play it you should probably tone it down a notch
in my opinion Joel Grind is a great musician because he writes all his music so he just hire musicians for videos and live presentations... inspirational.
I grew up in the Seattle area, I’m 56 and still listen to metal church, onslaught, venom. killer killer music here, Joel kills it every time, thanks for the great music Joel, up the horns man, keep on doing what your doing 🤘🤘🤘
Reminds me of his own blend of old skool Kreator mostly on this one! High Praise! I used to work for Relapse Records... toxic h. Has come a LONG WAY! 🤘
Wow...I grew up in the 80's and these guys get it.--first band I've seen since all the interest in 'bringing back' the 80's style that really get it...instant classic.
The fact these dudes come from Portland Oregon where I’m from makes me so proud 😎 Portlands Metal scene is pretty awesome, small but impactful. Love you Portland!
This song rocks! Also, I love the hairstyle of the vocalist, Joel Grind. It really fits well with the band's esthetic of being mad scientists in a chemical power plant.
Met the guys in Singapore in like 2004 or 2005 dont really remember. It was in a small bar in Paradigm tower where many metal gigs would happen. The vocalist was real nice, he even game me a tape "Singapore/Malaysia Attack 2004" pretty fucking sweet. These guys truly worked their way up the ladder and im happy to see how far they've got.... gj guys keep it up!! \m/
I was just thinking about hs and remembered walking down the halls and always seeing him around. Had to come and take a listen again. Glad he made/did something so awesome.
This comment is really old now but what do you think of his vocals on the new record? I think they compliment the album really well even though I like his semi black metal delivery also
im about to be 16 years old and i expierenced my first toxic holocaust show the other night and when i tell you, it was probably one of the best moments of my life. it was my first time going into a moshpit! i never stop thinking about it ever since it happened. cant wait to go to another one!!!

Its called Grab it and Get it and this band does exactley that. Purity in thrash metal right here. Brought here by Acid Fuzz video, where have I been for all these years? Thanx for upload.
Why the fuck are people even complaining for? Obviously, (to all of you who think this isn't metal) It's metal. Its thrash, but with a huge punk influence back ground. Just because this song doesn't have a solo, automatically doesn't make it metal. You can argue all you want, but the style Joel makes in my opinion pretty kick ass and is pretty much metal.
Brilliant song, punk, speed metal, thrash metal and crossover goes hand on hand, speed metal, thrash metal and crossover thrash metal got their influences from punk, punk is about attitude, the energy, feeling, speed and fury, this is what punk is about, it’s 20 times faster and heavier then heavy metal, nothing is more furious then a pissed off punker, when metal bands discover punk, they combined metal and punk together, they called this speed metal, thrash metal and crossover thrash, without punk these genres in metal would not exist
It's essentially the same few chords over and over again.. But, damn.. This is so fxcking good. hahaha. You can't help but get that head banging and hair flying when this song is playing! I LOVE IT
Tell me how are they ruining rock/metal? have you heard any of their songs? I'm not a huge fan of them but they're not all bad. they have some talent you have to admit.
Does anyone out there remember, back in the myspace days, Joel had a page for Toxic Holocaust on myspace and before this song came out on this album there was a version of it on that page? Ever since he took it off I cant seem to find it. I've looked and looked. Has anyone else ever heard this version im talking about? It was a bit more raw. I really want to here it again.
John Gonzalez check out From the Ashes of Nuclear Destruction, it’s like a collection of demos and stuff from split records. They have a version of Nuke the Cross on there that might be what you’re looking for

Yeah, he is definitely one of the coolest and humble musicians u could ever meet
With out a doubt. You'd never expect how nice of a dude he is from the stage presence alone.

It's all about how it sounds not how technical it is. It is good to play hard riffs for practice but if it's so hard that you just sound like shit when you try to play it you should probably tone it down a notch
That was kind of the whole point of metal to begin with. You can do so much with so little, but you can be technical if you want.

Totally agree, genuinely the meanest sound. Makes other “blackened-thrash” bands look like they’re LARPing.
