Steve has excellent sense of smell and taste, being able to identify the scent of that "jambu air" as "flowery". Only from taking a single bite! "Jambu air" is known as rose apple. Although it has similar name as guava i.e. "jambu batu", but it is far more watery and sweet. Well done Steve!

1:45 actually its rude if you dont open up the Biscuit Jar (Bekas kuih) and eat it . The host might forget to open it up for you or forget to invite you but the biscuits served on the table are for the guests to kill. No need to wait for the host to offer. In fact, if you could finished it all up and emptied the jar, it is the sign of you love the kueh (biscuits) soo much and the host will love it. Dont worry about the stocks, they have plenty at the back. from my experience, one cannot finished up all biscuits in the jars and the hosts are really look forward to emptied their biscuits stocks as soon as possible .

    • @Yasin_Affandi

In Malaysia, jeruk is pickle. In Malaysia, citrus fruit is called limau. Orange normally translates as oren, lemon stays as lemon, lime as limau nips, kalamansi as limau kasturi, kaffir limes as limau purut.

Hi Steve and Ivana, just a note. If you need to point, point with your thumb, not your index finger. Also, if you have to take anything handed to you, use your right hand. The left hand is considered unclean as it is used to clean yourself after defecating.

In all honesty, I think Steve and Ivana need to leave peninsular Malaysia soon. It has become too comfortable, almost a second home to both of them. They should head to Sabah and Sarawak where even for many of us Malaysian, have never set foot in east Malaysia. It would be very interesting to experience our fellow east Malaysian lives through Ivan and Steve vlogs.
