Stanley is definitely my favorite character in this show. He’s honestly one of the most relatable characters almost ever to me. All he wants is to do something right, to be someone’s hero and he sure tries his best. But even with his 30 years of work, his brother never even thanked him. Stanley has gone through a lot and may seem like a gruff bad person on the outside, but he’s golden on the inside. Holy the responses on this comment got a little hectic 😂

Stan hurts my heart in so many ways and I love this. He was such an abused kid, set up to fail from the start. It was a self fulfilling prophecy: his parents didn't care about him and so he kept looping back into bad behavior, which just reinforced their ideas that he was a shitty kid. And the same goes for Ford, because he was smart and they encouraged him, he kept performing well, so it reinforced their idea that he was the better twin and that Stan was shit. And all I can think about today is how much Stan hurt when he got to meet the kids. They didn't know they had a "dead" uncle Stanley, the family had erased him to that point from their lives that they only knew about Stanford. Grunkle stan is my favorite character. His past was hard, and having kicked out at such a young age over an accident is heart-breaking. In some way, I feel for him, being a twin myself. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I had a falling out with my twin. She's basically a half of me.
I'm not a twin, but I had a brother one year older than me. We grew up together like this, but he died when I was 14. It's hard. Please appreciate your family. Its the only one you'll get.

I love this show SO MUCH. I liked the first season and I was like "this is funny and interesting" Second season and 😮mind blown. The relationships they show! The emotion! Stan was thrown out of his home, and his brother turned his back on him. Ford finally acknowledges that Stan exists, and just tells him to get as far as he possibly can. Ford burns his shoulder and still, Stan spends 30 years working hard on the small chance that Ford was still alive. I mean, it was 30 YEARS! Ford would probably be dead by then! Then it finally works and Ford punches him in the face!!! No wonder he wouldn't shake his hand! I love Stan. Even after all that, he basically died for them. This video sums all the emotions up perfectly. Thank you for making it! I love it!

He throws himself at an army of the undead to defend his niece and nephew, killing quite a few with a bat, and knuckle dusters, he fought a pterrodactyl just to save Waddles because Mabel loves him, he climbs a Rushmore like mountain to save them and he, for all he knew, ended his life as he knew it to save his family and the world. And when Bill was laughing and advancing on Stan, you could see the pure terror on his face. He was terrified of Bill, as everyone was. But he still sacrificed himself to Bill. He's truly a bloody badass! And I agree.
There are a lot of things that people disagree about in this world. But one thing that everyone can agree on is that gravity falls was an absolute timeless work of art and this brings back so many great memories. See you all next summer. :')

This man is my idol, he fights through every hardship. After only knowing violence as an answer to everything he wants to reconsile with his brother only for him to want him to never show his face again. I love him and his story.

Stanley faked his own death and pretended to be Ford. I don't think the parents would tell them that Stanley their other grand uncle got into an accident 30years ago and died. Stanley was basically shunned and kicked out bcuz of the "accident" that he did. And the 3rd son is still a baby at that time(I think) who is dipper and Mabel's grandfather, I don't think he'll know more info about Stanley other than a twin of Stanford who got kicked out and is dead now. this is the best damned AMV I've seen in literal fuckin years (discounting perhaps those charming comics w/ lyrics) this thing actually enlightened me concerning Stan's whole nature. He's bitter, impulsive, and inconsiderate. But he's hopeful that he can make everything right, and he truly loves those around him. Also holy shit, his story is so much more shocking when you watch in uninterrupted from beginning to end. It really hits home why he is the way that he is.

You know, I've looked through your comments and you're getting nothing negative, and also at the moment of writing, this video has 498 likes and 0 dislikes... Slightly unexpected to me, not because I think you deserve any hate, but because there always are some haters on the net. To be honest I wonder, what do you do for a living, because I think your edits might be at a professional level and that your invite to work with disney or hollywood should be coming. this show really at times made you think on what have you done with your life now? Stanley went through so much shit in his life but showed how he could make something out of it and the same can happen to us which is Heartbreaking at how realistic and dark life can be
What is this feeling that I'm getting? I don't get this from the normal type of videos like this I watch. Sure some can make me cry, some can make me feel great emotion, but this one makes me want more. This one makes me want more of Stan. I just......can't explain it.
After rewatching the show I mean... Stanley is such a tragic character. "I'm guess I was good for something after all." That line just shows what he truly thought of himself, he thought he was nothing and a man who was doomed to fail but in the end? He restarted a highly complex interdimensional gateway to save brother (despite their differences.) He did everything he could to keep the kids safe and even lied about Gravity Falls'' werirdness to protect them. Most importantly though he willingly sacrificed himself to save the entire Universe from a fuckin Triangle Nightmare Demon. People still say they wish Stan stayed without his memories and that his sacrifice actually meant something. The thing is it does. Bill still clearly lives on in his mind (watch Game Theories video) as he speaks a lot like Bill Cipher which means he's still living on in Stanley's brain. I mean they both tell people to "buy gold" before the Apocalypse. They both call Ford "Sixer." His memories may be restored yes however, he is still tormented by Bill and controlled just slightly by him.
There's a good reason why he's my favorite character. His priority is always his family and he would do anything to protect them, even willing to lose his own identity and memories to save them. He was always the hero :')

It was kinda disappointing to see Stan be so understood and Under appreciated with how hard he tried to bring ford back; he gave everything up and everyone tried to stop him but he still did anything for his family and Ford was so mean to him I wish he would’ve gotten recondition but despite that, he still gave up all his memories and who he was if it men the town, and his family was safe
Oh my god, those were the days. Alex Hirsch is an absolute legend. The style was iconic, the jokes were hilarious, and the puzzles were clever. Each episode was different, had different adventures, but they always tied into eachother. Genuinely, Gravity Falls was a masterpiece. I don't think that level of intrigue can ever be replicated. The community, the discussions, and the show were all so,,, perfect. I love it. I love it. It's one of my favorite shows. Two seasons and forty episodes, all flashing by in an instant. Two seasons and forty episode, each one leaving you on the edge of your seat. Two seasons. Forty episodes. Questions forever unanswered, mysteries forever unsolved. It had an amazing run. It never overstayed. I can't confirm, but I believe that Alex had this planned from the get-go. A certain amount of episodes and time. He had Point A, and got to Point B. And I think that's why it hurt so much, watching that final episode, and crying from the knowledge that mo more will ever be made. Because he stopped before the show got repetitive and boring, stale and predictable. So many shows nowadays fall into that pit. They milk that popularity and attention until it dies down. I just... GRUNKLE STAN is kind of character that fits as a secret and has really interesting and relatable life i have a twin sister that is best at almost anything and she is one of the top students of the school in terms of math and other related lessons, won a lot of medals but i did't won a sing medal since when i was kinder garden til i reached high school. oAo

This song perfectly fits Stanley Pines’ life story. Great job editing the clips together! Especially at 1:34. I really felt the heartbreak that Stan must’ve felt there. It really shows how much he misses his twin brother

ausball_ I know man. Wish I could forget it, but there were so many great moments and then I would forget those too. I hate finishing a good show or book series, it just leaves a hole in my heart. I watched like one episode then stopped, and around a year later during season 2 I started watching it again, never thought I could feel this much for a cartoon

Stanley faked his own death and pretended to be Ford. I don't think the parents would tell them that Stanley their other grand uncle got into an accident 30years ago and died. Stanley was basically shunned and kicked out bcuz of the "accident" that he did. And the 3rd son is still a baby at that time(I think) who is dipper and Mabel's grandfather, I don't think he'll know more info about Stanley other than a twin of Stanford who got kicked out and is dead now. Their parents be like "u guys need to go outside, so we're sending ya'll to your uncle in Oregon gravity falls and his name is Stanford, he's your great uncle. You'll spend your summer there." Something along those lines

this thing actually enlightened me concerning Stan's whole nature. He's bitter, impulsive, and inconsiderate. But he's hopeful that he can make everything right, and he truly loves those around him. Also holy shit, his story is so much more shocking when you watch in uninterrupted from beginning to end. It really hits home why he is the way that he is.

Slightly unexpected to me, not because I think you deserve any hate, but because there always are some haters on the net. To be honest I wonder, what do you do for a living, because I think your edits might be at a professional level and that your invite to work with disney or hollywood should be coming. You are quite easily the best I have seen when it comes to matching music and imagery, all the videos I've seen of yours have had such a chemistry between images and song.

What is this feeling that I'm getting? I don't get this from the normal type of videos like this I watch. Sure some can make me cry, some can make me feel great emotion, but this one makes me want more. This one makes me want more of Stan. I just......can't explain it.

After rewatching the show I mean... Stanley is such a tragic character. "I'm guess I was good for something after all." That line just shows what he truly thought of himself, he thought he was nothing and a man who was doomed to fail but in the end? He restarted a highly complex interdimensional gateway to save brother (despite their differences.) He did everything he could to keep the kids safe and even lied about Gravity Falls'' werirdness to protect them. Most importantly though he willingly sacrificed himself to save the entire Universe from a fuckin Triangle Nightmare Demon.
People still say they wish Stan stayed without his memories and that his sacrifice actually meant something. The thing is it does. Bill still clearly lives on in his mind (watch Game Theories video) as he speaks a lot like Bill Cipher which means he's still living on in Stanley's brain. I mean they both tell people to "buy gold" before the Apocalypse. They both call Ford "Sixer." His memories may be restored yes however, he is still tormented by Bill and controlled just slightly by him.
There's a good reason why he's my favorite character. His priority is always his family and he would do anything to protect them, even willing to lose his own identity and memories to save them. He was always the hero :')

Oh my god, those were the days. Alex Hirsch is an absolute legend. The style was iconic, the jokes were hilarious, and the puzzles were clever.
Each episode was different, had different adventures, but they always tied into eachother.
Genuinely, Gravity Falls was a masterpiece. I don't think that level of intrigue can ever be replicated. The community, the discussions, and the show were all so,,, perfect.
I love it. I love it. It's one of my favorite shows.
Two seasons and forty episodes, all flashing by in an instant. Two seasons and forty episode, each one leaving you on the edge of your seat.
Two seasons. Forty episodes. Questions forever unanswered, mysteries forever unsolved.
It had an amazing run. It never overstayed. I can't confirm, but I believe that Alex had this planned from the get-go. A certain amount of episodes and time. He had Point A, and got to Point B.
And I think that's why it hurt so much, watching that final episode, and crying from the knowledge that mo more will ever be made.
Because he stopped before the show got repetitive and boring, stale and predictable. So many shows nowadays fall into that pit. They milk that popularity and attention until it dies down.
