I was born in Lincoln in the mid-1950’s and later lived in North Platte and Kearney. Left Nebraska in 1966 but have many fond memories. I have many pictures of my years there. License plates at the time proclaimed Nebraska as “The Beef State.” Fort Kearney. Pioneer Village. Lake Maloney. Good times!
Born in 1960 these images conjure distant memories, sad and happy, just turned 62, yikes where did it go, great music accompanying this video, nostalgic. Thank you🙏
My collage room mate, Larry Welidon, owned a 61 Ford, we went and watched Greatfull Dead in Iowa City. From Forest City, Iowa. Back in 1972.Fun road trip. Don’t member much of the concert, it lasted 4 hours. Thanks from.St. Paul Minnesota.
I saw them in Iowa City in 70 or71. New Riders of the Purple Sage opened. Jerry played pedal steel with them. I rode with somebody else and they wanted to leave and I was ready. It was 1:40 am and the Dead were still playing. Saw them there again in 74 and Dr, John was the opener promoting Right Place Wrong Time.
The first song, Nice and Easy, fills me with a wonderful if bittersweet feeling of nostalgia. That's made all the stranger when I think about the fact that most of these pictures were a little before my time. It's weird and hard to explain. How can I feel nostalgic about a period in time I didn't live in?
Thanks for all your wonderful videos you post...it brings me such joy.😊

The only way I like to watch these views of yesterday is when you play that music.
